The price and performance change automatically according to the frequency of access, so content and variety can be chosen according to the user. S3's billing system is basically pay-as-you-go and control of the operation is straightforward. Considering the security, maintenance and start-up skills required, rather than owning an actual computer, it appears to be considerably cheaper.
