No incentive was offered #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros I've been using MediaFire for a long time. Because I started into it so early, my first storage was limitless. Several years ago, my free account was "downsized" to 15GB of storage. Although my upload and download rates have always been excellent, keeping my assets in folders has allowed me to maintain complete control over my data. #### Cons MediaFire's main flaw, in my opinion, is a lack of intuitiveness. This makes it harder to transfer data with younger individuals, as services like WeTransfer and Dropbox offer a more straightforward user experience. MediaFire links might be confusing for specific users. This software has an outdated understanding of the file transfer environment when you can't build or download batch operations. --- ### One of the best - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Maria Amalia S. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Photography - Company size: 11-50 employees - Product usage: Used weekly for less than 2 years - Reviewed: November 2023 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Mediafire is an easy to use software, which is rather useful when it comes to cloud storage and to share files. The upload is amazing and the download is really really fast, I love it. #### Cons Would prefer if there was an option to stop and resume the downloads from where I stopped them. Sometimes my internet is awful and, even though the process isn't that slow, I would prefer to postpone the downloads/uploads and it's really difficult. I am forced to uplolad/download from 0 everytime. --- ### A mixed bag for online small business owners - Overall rating: 3/5 - Reviewer: Priyansh K. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Animation - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used daily for less than 6 months - Reviewed: December 2022 - Review source details: This review was submitted organically. No incentive was offered Overall, while Mediafire has some useful features, there are several areas where it falls short. For a small online business owner like myself, there are likely more reliable and user-friendly storage solutions available, like Cloudfiles which I use currently. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 3/5 - Value for money: 3/5 - Customer support: 2/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros As a small online business owner, finding a reliable and efficient storage solution is crucial for managing and organizing my digital assets. One of the main benefits of Mediafire is its large storage capacity, which allows me to upload and store a large volume of files. The platform also offers a range of security measures, including encryption and backup options, to ensure the safety of my data. One additional advantage of Mediafire is that it offers a range of integrations with other tools and platforms. For example, you can use Mediafire to store and share files from within your Microsoft Office suite, or use the platform to collaborate with team members on a project through Google Docs. This can be a useful feature for online business owners who rely on a range of different tools and platforms in their work. #### Cons However, there are several areas where it falls short. For one, the interface can be confusing and cluttered, making it difficult to navigate and locate specific files. Additionally, the upload speed can be slow, which can be frustrating when I'm trying to quickly share a file with a client.Another issue is the limited file sharing options. While Mediafire does offer a link-sharing feature, it lacks more advanced options like password protection or expiration dates for shared links. This can be a problem when I need to share sensitive or time-sensitive information. Finally, the pricing structure can be confusing, with different plans offering varying levels of storage and features. It can be difficult to determine which plan is the most cost-effective for my business needs. --- ### Useful in its own time. - Overall rating: 4/5 - Reviewer: Abel B. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Health, Wellness and Fitness - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used other for less than 12 months - Reviewed: February 2021 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. There are many options on the market but we fire up MediaFire when we want to mail out download links to our readers and subscribers so they can easily download as much as they want and for as long as they want, unlike WeTransfer that becomes unavailable after 7 days. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros We use MediaFire every now and then when we need to send files that are neither to huge or too small over the internet and we want it to stay up as long as we want. Usually when we want to send out the links to multiple people to download or keep in a safe place. The process is fairly easy and it works for us. One of the many benefits of this app is that you can use it to upload/store almost all kinds of files. #### Cons The ads on the download page could definitely use a reduction. Granted its free to use and get started with but those ads can be intrusive and obstructing at times, needs a rework. --- ### The best software for me - Overall rating: 5/5 - Reviewer: Rosanna P. - Verified reviewer: Yes - Industry: Photography - Company size: 2-10 employees - Product usage: Used monthly for more than 2 years - Reviewed: February 2024 - Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros MediaFire has always been my first choices for years at this point; both upload and download are amazing, especially the download speed.
