Great software that saves time and Nice people to help anytime needed

More time to focus on everything else and less time having to do admin work.

PROS

You can almost do everything you need with in the software. They keep adding more and more integrations so eventually it will all be in one place and I love it.

CONS

I do not like the home page layout as it is a little intimidating to my new staff when training them and they find it confusing. Its okay once you get used to it though.

JackRabbit is a crowd pleaser.

We have been very pleased with the software.

PROS

JackRabbit's software support is second to NONE. They are fast to respond, thorough, and fun to work with. If they don't know the answer, they will research it and get back to you. They are also always working on new features. You can submit an idea and sometimes you see that idea worked and added as a feature. Cannot say enough great things about their support team.

CONS

There are just a features that I think the software lacks. There is no option to schedule instructors and report absences/trade shifts. There is no option for customers to enter a gift certificate or apply a credit from their account at the time of enrollment, just to name a few.

We had some restructuring changes so it was a great time to make a change. We were looking for a product that was more specific to our swim lessons industry.

Swim School Review

PROS

Jackrabbit is feature-rich and central to our whole swim school. It makes most things very simple to do once we've configured it properly.

CONS

Jackrabbit makes posting fees slightly complicated and it isn't smart enough to always identify families who shouldn't have additional tuition fees posted to their account.

Good but could be great

Overall, JR has been good and we are happy. That being said, there are certain features that we are very frustrated to not have available to us. These features listed above are nearly dealbreakers for us and we truly hope that JR can add them in the near future.

PROS

Customer support for initial setup was great. Every call we’ve had with customer support has been amazing.

CONS

There HAS to be a way to let a customer input a promo code to get a $ or % off their purchase. The balance owed during checkout should immediately be reflected based on the promo code input. The same goes for entering a gift card #. If a customer inputs a gift card #, the balance at checkout should immediately deduct that amount prior to payment being submitted.We are also desperate for a feature that will automatically inactivate/close out classes when other classes in the same time slot become booked. We have a max of 4 lanes in our pool but we offer 6 or 7 possible classes in each time slot. When a 4th class receives a booking, we need the other classes in that time slot to automatically be inactivated/closed out.

Jackrabbit- Swim Lessons

My overall experience has been great. I recommend it for its customer service alone. I think it checks most checkboxes for various fitness/recreationally based business needs.

PROS

The pricing structure was a big point of emphasis for us. We are a start up swim lesson program and needed to do some research for different programs that met our need and was affordable. Jackrabbit was great in this regard because it allowed us to be on a lower tier until our memberships rose. I also love the customer service. The amount of training and help I received when we first purchased the software all the way through our implementation of the Jackrabbit Plus App has been phenomenal. They are patient and make sure you understand the features fully.

CONS

There is a learning curve with the program. This could be a turn off, but I believe once you learn its quirks it becomes easy to use. This could include setting up the overall business to creating classes and dealing with the parent portal. There are some steps that are necessary, but seem like they could implement better because initially if you forget to set something up you will have to restart and fix the issue to catch back up.

Streamlined program management

I’ve been using the software for over 2 years and I don’t it easy to navigate and figure tasks out. If I encounter a challenge, there is online support available and they are quick to respond and assist.

PROS

Class management is smooth and easy with Jack rabbit. Parents are able to create their account and find classes for the children, or the managers can quickly navigate the account creation and class assignment. Classes are then easy to manage with reporting of absences and make ups through the parent portal.

CONS

The platform is frequently evaluated and updated by the team at JR, so any challenges I’ve encountered are quickly addressed and positive changes implemented.

Aquatic School Review

PROS

Joackrabbit can do most things if you can figure out how. If you can't figure it out, their customer service is excellent to help and they take feedback to build out new features.

CONS

We are excited for the check-in feature to be added for parents and for when we can choose which classes automatically get makeups and which class types do not so that we are able to use the function to let parents submit their own absences.

Robust program

Customer support is wonderful!

PROS

I like how many features it ha. The ease of emailing certain families is awesome.

CONS

Email composer is not as robust. It needs to have a pre-requisite ladder to prevent parents from registering for the wrong level. It tends to be an expensive program compared to competitors for those of us with high student loads. Needs to integrate with crm and provide an app instead of a third party app.

Great experience, always helpful when needing support

There are a lot of reports that seem to not give accurate info simply because there are so many options that go into a report that could change the outcome, got to find the right combination.

Jackrabbit Swim is simply the best for our swimming program!

While Jackrabbit may not do all that I would like it to, this software provides most of what I want and need to run our business. The customer service is the best I've seen in that they respond to inquiries swiftly with answers or suggestions to my situation.

PROS

I first loved the ease of set up for our business. I was able to set up registration and approximately 100 classes in a matter of hours! The ease of use is fantastic. Their staff responded to all of my questions quickly and helped me to work around some issues that their software couldn't handle at the time I set everything up. Nowadays, I LOVE the prorating feature.

CONS

There are a few things I wish I could do with Jackrabbit Swim: 1. Sort daily schedules by instructor or skill level 2. Generate more customized reports for internal use 3. Maintain a history of instructors for classes 4. Be able to add a substitute instructor to the schedule when regular instructors are out

Critical to running my swim business

I launched my business with JackRabbit from day 1 so it's been a critical piece of our growth in the first 6 months of operations. I appreciate that it's set up and customized for swim schools from the start and had some features that even helped give me ideas for how I want my operations to run.

PROS

I like that JackRabbit allows me to easily set up my class schedule, enroll students, manage them as they move from class to class and smoothly bill them each month. All the core functions of my business run through the system and it also helps me manage my staff time clock and creates an easy report for me to submit payroll hours every two weeks. The dashboards and to do lists also make it easy to keep track of things like student birthdays, new enrollment processing, etc.

CONS

The learning curve was a little challenging and I still struggle sometimes if I'm trying to customize something as there are often 2 or 3 different places to adjust certain settings, for example permissions that control what a staff member sees when they log on to the staff portal. The help content is good though and I receive quick responses if I need to reach out for further help.

JackRabbit Review

I think Jackrabbit is a great program. I think it is pretty easy to use and I have trained quite a few people in using it. I think once you know the program it is easier to learn more and things are always changing and adapting so that you can do more things.

PROS

I like how the product is pretty easy to use for the most part. When I don not know how to do something I can always chat with a representative and they are always to willing to help with videos as well and screenshots of how I can do it!

CONS

I think that sending a statement is something a bit challenging just because it is not always easy to read. I also think that the transactions are something a bit confusing when you are looking at them and do not know a lot about what you are looking at.

Best Software

Jackrabbit took us from paper and pencil registration to the ease of online registration, automated billing, and electronic skills tracking. It was a game changer!!

PROS

We love that Jackrabbit is so progressive and responsive to user feedback and ideas. Over the past decade that we have been using it, we have seen the enhancements made allow us to run many of our practices from, registration, to skills tracking, to billing, far more efficiently.

CONS

I would love to see an option for improving waitlist notifications/enrollment to open classes!

There is no better program for our industry

Well considering when I first started teaching I was managing my class schedules using paper and a filing cabinet, Jackrabbit has saved countless man hours over the years.

PROS

It literally has almost every feature I need to manage my school. The program is easy to use and I find it easy to train new employees. The biggest time saver for me is having all the templates in place, including pre-drafted emails, etc.

CONS

I really like the legacy version of posting tuition fees because I had a system down that worked well with the templates I had. I’m struggling a bit more with the updated version. The other thing I wish they had was an option to allow customers to schedule make-ups via the parent portal.

Easy to use, nice to have billing/scheduling/rosters in one place.

PROS

Everything is in one place. I can bill, schedule, see class history, print rosters, track skills and attendance, email and text families all in one place. I can quickly see a family's transaction and class history. I can mass post tuition fees and process batch credit cards which saves a lot of time.

CONS

I'm having a hard time figuring out the best way to post annual tuition fees when everybody has different start dates.

Overall good product

Overall good product and easy to use. Would recommend to others, but would also love to work with Jackrabbit to be able to customize a bit further.

PROS

It is user friendly and I appreciate the video tutorials in the help section. Much better than having to email someone and wait for a response, so they are thorough and cover almost every single topic you could be looking for. Parents have found the Parent/Portal easy to use as well.

CONS

There is some information I need to order to run each session that is not collected so I have to email participants to collect that necessary data (such as parent/guardian DOB is needed to enter them as members of the facility). Also I wish when pulling transactions to process payments, it would pull those that have paid already as well (and label them as paid) so I don't think I have missing payments. When transfer participants between sessions, the data does not always track automatically either (I have to shuffle participants a decent amount because they registered for the wrong class or need to combine classes) and when I go to process payments, typically the missing transactions belong to those that were transferred from one class to another. Leaving me to track them down individually to process payment.

PROS

Web based and easy to email from. Wish the text button was an automatic as it gets skipped over frequently. Also, if we need to send a quick text for an emergency (last minute weather closure) we can’t text all of our students for that day as it’s over 200.

CONS

There are some features that are not easy to sync with our programs. Classes can be overbooked-human error yes but still able to happen. Reporting side is lacking and accounting reports never match so are difficult to use and be accurate.

Swim School Manager Review

PROS

I love that Jackrabbit is customizable to any program, big or small. I like how there is a feature for attendance, skills, communication to parents and billing all in one place. It makes it a one stop shop and easy to use.

CONS

I would like to see an option to have the admin be able to use & see the portal as a parent would during registration or use. This will help me if I have a parent face-to-face or over the phone and I can show them exactly what they would see. I would also LOVE to see a version of Jackrabbit that was built for small scale classes & clients for a private swim instructor. They would be able to use all of the features of the program but only for like 15-20 children during a season or 6-month span. This would help keep track of clients throughout the years all in one place.

JackRabbit has always been extremely helpful in every situation.

PROS

JackRabbit is constantly working to improve their software. There are enhancements released weekly. Support is quick to respond and will work through any situation. There is also a Facebook group to post questions to other users. I find this very helpful to get other people to help find solutions.

We find it mostly suits our needs, but it isn't quite there...

PROS

The help team is great and I appreciate being able to use the chat feature for quick questions.

CONS

Our team has to do several manual processes in order to manage and communicate to families. It would be great if there was a better student check-in/check-out system, email automation to communicate absences and student progress, and better ways to add notes/pop-ups notes/reminders for certain families.

awesome program for those who want something simple

simple, useful, enjoyable. This program was very easy to use for our front desk team. i enjoyed using it and i think it can do a little better by letting multiple user to be signed in at once. I think my three words describe the program overall.

PROS

it is very self explanatory and easy to use. The UX design of this software is very simplistic which i admire the most about this software.

CONS

there wasn't anything that i did not particularly disliked about this software but i did not enjoy the sudden crash of the website. if I had to say i would say that only one person can sign in at a time and that was very annoying at times because we have two people working at the front desk and it would fall into one persons hand to check people in.

JR is a great software and very easy to use. The best part about it is the customer support!

Very easy to use and well organized. All of the reports are very helpful as well and it is very easy for our patrons to use the parent portal.

PROS
