WellnessLiving is a cloud-based business management solution for wellness studios of all sizes. The key features of the solution include online booking, payments, class scheduling and marketing management.

WellnessLiving features online booking which allows students to book classes online in available time slots. With automated reminders, users can send email and text reminders to students so that they are aware of their class time.

WellnessLiving features an online store, which enables users to list their courses on business websites. This functionality allows students to register for courses and make online payments for class fees and merchandise.

WellnessLiving features campaign management which enables businesses to send automated email and text campaign messages for targeting customer acquisition and retention.It also offers a mobile application for Android and iOS devices.

WellnwssLiving offers services on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via email, phone and through online demo videos and knowledge base.

    Simple to use but not short on features. Every time I have a question, customer service handles it quickly and happily. Very good staff. Tons of features I never use but they don't get in the way of it operating the way I want to utilize it.

    Cons

    I honestly have no complaints. The biggest problem I've had is when they update things and I might have to figure out a new menu. It's never truly been a challenge and their service has always helped with it. Not truly a con.

    Excellent Customer Service that is Always Available to Assist us

    The software is easy to use and pretty user friendly for staff and clients. Since the staff app came out a few months ago our staff is much happier with the ease of checking and maintaining their schedules. There have been a few hiccups (see below), but each time I am able to reach Ry with Customer Service who goes above and beyond to resolve the issue. If he is unable to come up with a resolution, due to a software/engineering issue rather than his ability, he escalates it to the engineering team to resolve the issue or provide more explanation. I appreciate the fact that he also keeps me updated on a regular basis as to the ETA and progress on the resolution.

    Cons

    Although the software is easy to use, I wish the reports had more filter options especially in regards to financial detail reports and memberships. We have had some hiccups with our clients that have ongoing appointments. Some of the clients that have had the same ongoing appointment for a couple of years have had their ongoing appointment renewal skipped on a random week. It usually happens with several clients at the same time and we have clients that arrive for an appointment that is not on the books and that another client was booked into. (some ongoing clients cancel every so often so at first glance we assume that is the reason they are not on the schedule). When this first happened three months ago I was given a general email response and verbal response by two different customer service agents that we have to manually make those appointments; and it is nearly impossible to anticipate one ongoing appointment missing with almost 170 ongoing appointments each week. I spent many hours double checking our schedule weeks in advance to try and prevent another issue. The second time the ongoing appointment error happened I dealt directly with Ry who took a look at it and could see there was an issue. He tried to come up with a resolution, but ultimately this was a software glitch and he submitted it to engineering. Despite some issues here and there, the customer support team has been helpful in trying to fix issues and submit feature requests for engineering to develop.

    None I'm switching back to Mindbody.

    Pros

    Nothing about this software is easy. It takes too many pages to complete even the smallest transaction.

    Cons

    To do any transaction takes many pages and clicks. The reports are worthless. They have no concept of what a business needs to reconcile accounts or to help with payroll. Although it is less expensive than Mindbody it cost us more time to process anything, which cost us more money.

    Some admin features a limited, but Wellness seems to respond well to feedback and either helps with solutions or creates a fix. Just wish more could be done faster.

    It was a great way to keep our clients, classes and products organized. We were able to group and analyze our clients, and their needs in order to improve our marketing and help grow our business. It was easy to use, intuitive and straightforward. It did not require a great deal of training time, allowing us to focus on our clients and creating lasting relationships with them, instead of doing administrative work. We were able to establish a professional online experience/presence and give clients more confidence. We appreciated being able to store some of the most vital and important information about our business in one central spot that was accessible with the touch of a button. Clients were able to recommend us to others and ultimately Wellness Living helped us to grow our client base. We would highly recommend the software to anyone in the fitness industry.

    Pros

    The ease of use and customizable options make it personal and accessible for a variety of users, regardless of technical knowledge. It is a great resource for small or large businesses. Very intuitive and straightforward. We enjoyed how quick it was to set-up new clients, products and create a welcoming online experience and presence for our business. Online tech support was extremely helpful and there were no interruptions to our service for software updates or glitches. it was very reliable and a great tool to pull reports. The data reports were easy to pull and did not require time-consuming filtering and clean-up. Tracking a client's activity was easy and clear. The pre-set tools and rules for each component of the software were logical and easy to change and modify when needed. Overall it was superior to other CRMs and a pleasure to use. Our clients enjoyed being able to leave reviews and recommendations about their experiences.

    Cons

    As a small business, it would have been much easier to be able to link the payment processing mechanism to Square or Dream payments. We were looking forward to the reporting capabilities of Wellness Living to help us track our revenue and without having the ability to sync with these, it created a lot of manual data-entry work. This flexibility is very important for businesses that are just beginning and not in a position to pay costly monthly fees for moneris, interac or bank machines. We felt that though it was a competitive rate for this type of software, it was a large investment for us and we wished that we could have taken full advantage of all of these functions.

    I don't have to use Mindbody anymore! The customer service and integration team are awesome.

    I love how it's visually appealing and how it double checks you to make sure that you WANT to do something before it lets you do it.

    Cons

    I don't like when you have 1 client with 2 IDs and sometimes you can find them or if you do you can't merge them. I don't like using the texting system because the recipient can't respond. I was exciting about texting a whole class but wondered why no one confirmed.... then realized that they couldn't.

    So far it's been overall very good. No complaints. The transition from Mind Body to Wellness Living took about a month or so of learning curve, but Wellness Living makes it as painless as possible and provides tons of support.

    Easy to use, all data was brought over from Mindbody Online, so we didn't have to do any of the heavy lifting... They are always interested in improving the software and have been very responsive whenever we come up with a new need.

    Cons

    Some features affecting our business were missing, but they have been rapidly adding. Automatic re-billing of failed CC or ACH transactions. 24 hour support not available yet

    I love that it's an all-in-one solution for scheduling, appointment booking, staff scheduling, payroll processing, reporting, etc. The team is very responsive and support is wonderful - if you ever have a question, they answer promptly and do their best to help. With the onboarding team, is hands down the most helpful, responsive, kindest and most patient rep I've ever had the pleasure of working with across many companies in many industries. He made a really stressful transition much less stressful and virtually held my anxious hand the whole way :) I highly recommend him (if you have the option) and would choose to work with him again in a heartbeat!

    Cons

    It is missing some features that I use a lot in my business, but the WL team adds our requests to their development schedule, so that's a plus. It can be slow to load sometimes, and the Staff app isn't (yet) as robust or clear as I'd like it to be but...that's just growing pains!!

    Cheaper than Mindbody. Still not cheap. Okay user interface. But no responsive design (why not?!) Sloooooow. But cheaper than Mindbody.

    Pros

    Initially very responsive to feature requests, bug fixes, etc. Real humans you'll get to know on their support team. Very knowledgeable about their own product.

    Cons

    They do not understand how their product is used in the real world. Over emphasis on things like rewards programs and their partner program, which are slightly half-baked / not very feature rich / not useful for everyone. Far less responsive than they were when we first signed on, and bugs take a great while longer to get fixed. I'm currently tracking 75 bugs and 120+ feature requests on their support page that I or my staff have submitted over the last 3 years.

    Ease of use from the customer side. WL seems to be in-tune with the needs of a yoga studio; always open to suggestions and are continuously updating there systems to support the needs of my business. Tech support is amazing and always willing to help you to find a solution to any problem. I had to close my business this March and they were very supportive to my needs. I appreciate their ability to see the ups and downs of us small businesses. Great price for the value!

    Cons

    Reports can be a little tricky to navigate to try to get what it is I'm looking for but there is usually a way and with a call to tech support they guide me to create what it is I need.

    Over whelmed and understaffed

    I signed up the first week of January, March 22 they told me it would be another month.

    WellnessLiving is way more intuitive than other systems and saved the company tons of money in monthly operating fees

    Pros

    I was contracted by a health and wellness spa to switch them over to WellnessLiving from MindBody, after switching over a fitness studio close by. It was early on in my experience with WellnessLiving and I couldn't have done it without their customer support. I called and emailed everyday and was always assisted by kind and patient employees, and my concerns were always a priority to them, even though I know they had plenty of clients to assist. They always made me feel valued and never stopped helping me until my problems were solved!

    Cons

    It is a lot of work to switch over operating systems and something that is very nerve-racking for business owners, however the value and money you will save is so worth the effort, and customer support does not stop until you have what you need or assure you they will work with the development team to get you what's needed!
