Maintenance Connection Software


Maintenance Connection is a cloud-based software system for maintenance management. It is suitable for businesses of all sizes in general facilities management, healthcare, manufacturing, government, utilities, warehouses, energy development, travel agencies and other specialized industries. On-premise hosting is also available.

Users can manage lifecycles of assets, track and manage maintenance costs, keep updated on possible equipment failures and allocate resources. Integration capabilities include enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and computer aided facility management (CAFM) software.

The homepage for each user can be configured according to their role in the organization. Work assignments, requests and other current objectives that need immediate attention are highlighted in red. A customizable calendar depicts employee work schedules and how they relate to one another. The My Matrix feature displays work order information using an editable matrix. Maintenance Connection runs on the Microsoft SQL Server Relational Database Engine.

All in one software

They have the best customer support team. We have asked to customize so many things and they always find a way to accommodate us and what we are trying to do.

Pros

This software has options to do most everything. We use this not only for maintenance but we do P.O. and work orders for purchasing and procurement. We also now store doc control through this and keep track of receiving/accounting for both USD and CAD.

Cons

The only thing they could add would be a payment portal. Then you could purchase to pay and house everything in one place.

Revolutionize your work

I can literally say that MC revolutionized my work and made me more satisfied with my job.

Pros

- ability to provide different kinda of report
- simplifying the process of finding your intended work order using filters

Pros

The easy interaction among the menu, easy work order creation and follow up.
I use TELS software too and Maintenance connection is far way better.

Easy way to submit work orders to get things done!

Pros

As a user, I appreciate being able to submit and follow up on work orders sent to facilities. They are able to organize and assign tasks to their crew. It's easy to sign in and a user friendly interface

Cons

I am not sure from the programming end when it comes to formatting, but I was wondering if there was a way to save certain information. Currently, we have a complicated drop down menus for each section. It's complicated because there's so many categories, but I would like to have a "saved profile" for certain things like location, site and other features to make requests quicker.

It helps me to have better control and maintenance of our servers

Pros

It is one of our most comfortable applications to keep track of equipment inventories, fix maintenance, with an excellent graphic interface that allows the best management of the program.

Cons

There are certain characteristics that do not work locally, such as communication with other databases of other maintenance programs, it is very closed in that sense

Pros

The software is extremely user friendly and the fact that they can cloud host is great. There is multiple ways to access the same options.

Cons

I wish I was more educated to use it to its full advantage. The downside to having cloud host is it runs just a little slower than when you host.

We are looking at her maintenance needs, this was one of the best applications that we found it was super helpful to use and we really enjoyed it

Great functionality and ease of customization for tracking asset maintenance.

Pros

It is very simple and easy to customize, hide, add additional fields specific to our operation. Very user friendly and intuitive to use for many employees. Easy one button clicks and drop downs to reduce confusion and inconsistent information being input into the system. Reporting can be customized and used to edit, open, manage records.

Cons

Custom and advanced features can be tricky sometimes, but customer support is always there free of charge to come to my aid when I am stuck. And helps to teach as well.

very easy to use

connectivity to have challenges address is faster way.

Pros

The system is easy to setup drop menus too allow for personalization needed. easy to setup for multiple users and needs. link to desktop makes the login faster for speedy responses. others can read posted tickets and see if the item is already on the list to be addressed fixed or solution in progression. it would be nice if it CC your email with the resolution or outstanding ticket at the end of the month.

Cons

The person who posted the issue should be able to edit to close tickets that have been addressed already. Would be nice to be able to escalate the same topic more then once. occasionally you might have two similar challenges in one day.

Great Maintenance Request, Asset Tracker, and Preventative Maintenance program

Pros

Its very easy for users to submit a request. And its very easy for our maintenance technicians to complete work orders. There are also a bunch of custom settings and buttons we can add to make it specific to our organization.

Cons

Some of the default templates have a ton of information that I wish we could remove. This is definitely not a big deal, but it would be nice to remove some of the buttons and features we don't use to clean up the user experience.

Very robust program with lots of good features.

Pros

The interface, and the variety of features available. Especially liked the ability to use photos to highlight assets, and attach them to completed work orders.

Cons

Some functions require a few too many mouse clicks, such as closing work orders. Only a slight decrease in efficiency, though.

MC is one of the most versatile and innovative software ever used

Pros

MC is a very versatile product.

It has enabled me to enhance the productivity and overall performance of my department in the shortest space of time.

MC software has the ability to provide third party support and offers the options to link these as well, making the overall experience more user friendly

Cons

The time it takes to have a new employee trained up to the administrator level can be tedious, however its worth it, to have another capable hands on deck makes the job a lot more efficient

I was only to watch a sample of this product

Pros

While watching this product I was very impressed with the ease of use .
It also seemed very well put together and planed out. The user told me he picket it up right away.

Cons

Not knowing how much it costs I would have to say the sample wasn't quite long enough for me to have many things I didn't like

i started a MRO Room from the ground. CMMS is been there since day 1. 3 years into it now.

Pros

very easy to use and have other people to navigate as well. The Inventory section and Purchase order section is what i use all day. Making PO's and creating an item list for our Secure Storage room.

in the new item section. you use to be able to copy and paste on the Item number line, can't anymore

Had a few bugs in it but they have been cleared up.

I have use 5 different computer software's for Inventory Control with my past Jobs this one is one of the easier to use ones.

Pros

Easy to use, fairly easy to learn. still learning different things in MC. Once you learn it is very easy software to use. I like being able to go to MC web sight for answers and how to dos.

Cons

Freezes up, don't' know if it is being updated or what is going on with it. Reports, some are difficult to figure out what criteria to put in to run the report you want. When you are done running a report it is very easy to use back arrow instead of "Close" and Maintenance Connection logs you out.

User friendly- easy to comprehend

Having a system to keep record and process an order- Purchase through Payment.

Pros

This software has been customized to fit our needs. Other software doesn't always allow that. Maintenance Connection has made extra portals just for us to use for purchasing, accounting and reporting. We have also had wonderful tech support throughout these add-ons/changes.

Cons

Sometimes the system is slow to update- it thinks a lot or even times out. When we are in a hurry to get an order out, I have to wait awhile for it to populate the information before I can issue. I wish it would update live.

MC has taken our asset inventory to a level of detail we never thought would be possible.

Pros

The amount of information that you can customize and set up to run as a report or export to excel has been a game changer. We keep track of cost of repair per asset and when we need to evaluate equipment. It is so easy to pull this information and track how much we have spent. We haven't come across any information we can't capture. Customer support, tech support and the forums are quick, reliable resources for support and instruction.

Cons

The only thing I would like to see is the serial number available on our work orders in addition to asset id. The global search is a great addition, but it seems to still need more work. It doesn't 'find' what I am looking for quite often.

Maintenance Connections is outstanding at assisting us with all of our maintenance requirements!

Pros

We use almost all of the features in MC in some way everyday. Reports, inventory, PM, work request, etc.

Cons

Is there a link to the survey we can insert into our email to customers when a work orders are closed that they can click on. Instead customers must go back into the Service Requester screen to submit feedback.

Great program/system. Very robust.

Generally organizes and captures our activities, which can be used for staff feedback on performance as well as reporting to senior management.

Pros

Staff adoption of system and accolades for ease of use (WO's). Ability to see asset WO history is very beneficial to our operations.

Cons

Lots of "canned" reports but difficult "ad hoc" creation. Would love to see a specific report content/syllabus for reports.
