I would describe my experience with Eptura to be a solid 8/10. I think it can do great things for a company in terms of organization, but it can be a very hard interface to understand for a first-time user. Not sure if there is an onboarding program that could be used for first time users?

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Easy to use interface that has simple but effective ecosystem in place for a operations team. It can be viewed by multiple people, and information can be shared quickly. I like how the hierarchy is set up.

#### Cons

Sometimes new Assets being entered via the import list have red fields when being reviewed. There should be like an override button to automatically add a category to the list without having to contact an administrator.

### Streamlining Asset Management Through Visibility, Reporting, and Customization

My overall experience with Eptura Asset has been very positive. I appreciate the platform's ease of use, robust reporting capabilities, and customizable configuration options that allow organizations to tailor the system to their specific needs. The built-in BI dashboards provide valuable visibility into asset performance, maintenance activities, and operational metrics. From my perspective managing multiple client accounts, one area for improvement would be the ability to consolidate reporting and dashboard data across multiple environments. A centralized reporting solution, such as a Power BI integration that can aggregate data from multiple accounts into a single dashboard, would provide greater visibility and make portfolio-level performance analysis significantly more efficient.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Eptura Asset is intuitive and easy to use, with a modern web-based interface that makes navigation simple. I particularly appreciate having asset information, documentation, maintenance history, and related data centralized in a single location, which improves efficiency and visibility.

#### Cons

One area for improvement is the attachment size limit for documents, which can create challenges when storing larger facility-related files. Additionally, having a centralized document library at the facility level, where users can view and access all associated documents in one location, would improve document management and accessibility.

#### Reasons for choosing Eptura Asset

In my opinion, Eptura Asset was the better fit for my needs because it provided stronger asset management, reporting, and customization capabilities than MaintainX.

### Eptura - eh' ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If I had to do this again, I would pick a different CMMS that can work with our industry and specific business needs. Eptura is too surface level, and the developers do not want to cater to customers specific needs.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 1/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

a platform that allows us to track assets, workorders and preventative maintenance, etc. Improved how our team manages work orders and assets.

#### Cons

The platform is not user-friendly or intuitive. It requires extensive training and ongoing attention for users to fully understand and navigate Eptura's functionality. If the few people on our team left today everyone else that follows would be lost. We are not developers, we are facilities. It is not a tech is not typically a strength for most folks in our industry. The system also appears to be designed with a stronger focus on industries like fleet management and logistics, making it less adaptable to the workflows and operational needs of businesses in other industries. Throughout implementation and continuing to the present, we've frequently been told, "The system can't do that," whenever we've asked questions or suggested workflows that better fit our business. This has been especially frustrating because the product was sold to us as being "fully customizable." While certain fields can be customized, the workflows themselves are largely fixed, which significantly limits the platform's flexibility. The Feature Request process is also ineffective. It feels like customers are submitting requests into a black hole with little visibility, communication, or evidence that feedback is being reviewed or acted upon. In addition, we've experienced frequent bugs and user interface issues. It's common to have to refresh pages, log out and back in, or repeat actions just to get the system to function properly, which disrupts productivity and creates unnecessary frustration.

#### Reasons for choosing Eptura Asset

Eptura sold us the moon. We were under the impressions that we could build out the software to meet all of our needs and make changes as needed. That has not been true

### Strong foundation, but requires significant administrative effort

- Overall rating: 3/5

Eptura Asset has become an important part of how our Facilities team manages work, but it took a considerable amount of setup, testing, cleanup, and process development to get it there. It provides a strong foundation for tracking assets, work orders, inspections, preventive maintenance, documentation, and accountability. However, the platform is not as intuitive or automated as it could be, particularly for reporting and ongoing system administration. Overall, it is valuable once it has been carefully configured and supported by strong internal procedures, but the amount of manual management required keeps me from rating it higher, and I still don't feel as if our team has reached the point I would like it to.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 2/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

Eptura Asset gives us one centralized place to manage work orders, preventive maintenance, inspections, assets, documentation, and follow-up. It has helped our Facilities team create more consistent processes and improve visibility into who owns each item, what is still outstanding, and where additional follow-up is needed. I also appreciate that the system is flexible enough to support different asset types and workflows as our facilities operations continue to grow.

#### Cons

The system requires a significant amount of administrative oversight to keep the information accurate and useful. Many of the workflows, fields, and reporting options are not very intuitive, so our team has had to create detailed internal processes and workarounds. Reporting is especially more difficult than I would expect from an asset management platform, and it can be challenging to pull complete, usable information without additional cleanup. Some parts of the interface also feel dated, and the different modules do not always feel fully connected.

#### Reasons for choosing Eptura Asset

it seemed like the better solution, if workplace and asset were able to speak to each other like we were told, but they were never able to so we are right where we started

#### Reasons for switching to Eptura Asset

They weren't meeting our needs, were too mechanical or parts based

I've been using this product for approximately 8 years now. I only use the work order, log and asset modules. We tried using the inventory module, however it does not function they way we would need it to, to serve our purpose. The module for assets is great. I would say it probably stores more info than we actually need. The work order and log modules I basically use on a daily basis. Over all I am satisfied with their functionality. I also like that this program hardly ever crashes or has technical issues. That to me, is a huge plus!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Easy to learn to use and train others. The reporting functionality is great, especially for work order repairs in order to find past work that has been done on our trucks. Able to run log reports for fuel, engine hours etc with ease. Entering work order info is easy as well as entering fuel, mileage and engine hours in the logs.

#### Cons

I don't like the fact that i have to use my mouse so much when entering work orders. I feel like the task would flow much smoother if I could hit F keys to move to a different tab or drop down list etc rather than having to stop typing to use the mouse to get to the next area I want to be in. I wish I could import spreadsheet data to the log module rather than having to print the spreadsheet and then key it all in manually ( but i hear thats available in the upgraded version ).
