We also enjoy using our SSO integration to keep it as secure as possible for us. #### Cons I wish it had ticketing built in, hoping this is a feature that is road mapped. No incentive was offered I'd started w/ Reftab as a cloud based asset management tool for tracking and managing electric vehicle charging stations. I've also used Device42 then Insight by Riada as competing products because had developed integrations with Jira Cloud and Jira Service Desk Cloud for our task and service ticket management. Reftab continued to develop their product and has now integrated with Jira. Nice! The cost/month is currently less than 50% of the monthly subscription cost for competing products and the functionality and customer service are truly excellent for our asset tracking and management needs. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Great value for $ Integrates and Interacts with Atlassian Jira and Jira Service Desk (Provides link between the asset and any issues or tickets) Bulk Import of existing asset information from existing tools. Mobile app/interface #### Cons The initial product did not integrate with Jira Service Desk. You cant check kits out if theres too many accessories as it says "accessory limit reached" which is just silly, why put accessories there if you cant use them. You cant directly print a kit list or export PDF from a booking so we can print a physical kit list to help with our prep, instead we have to export an excel file with all the information and then delete the columns that are irrelevant, incredibly time consuming. When it shows the calendar view of booking availability it shows that its booked but you cant just click on the calendar and see the times and user, it just shows their e-mail in the booking which for us doesnt work as its just a student number. #### Reasons for choosing Reftab Better user interface on Reftab and easier from a student point of view #### Vendor response Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. If a limit is enabled, it can prevent additional accessories from being checked out once that threshold is reached. Adjusting or removing that limit can often resolve situations like the one you've described. Pressing the back button doesn't take us back by one page, but to the homepage itself. This is time-consuming and frustrating. Reftab claims that the accessories are not bookable even if they have recently been cancelled or have no bookings, it will not be bookable. A Store Desk would be helpful such as what SISO offered with the barcode scanning. #### Reasons for switching to Reftab They were not creating new features that we needed. Reftab includes a "Store Desk" equivalent that can be accessed from the Loans page or through Settings > Kiosk, making it easy to scan items for check-in and check-out. If accessories or kits appear unavailable after being restocked, the item may still need to be checked back in or updated in the system so the platform recognizes it as available again. Custom statuses don’t automatically change unless there’s an automated workflow set up to update them based on actions like check-out. It easily connects to a myriad of systems to ensure the records stay updated. #### Cons The inability to extract the cost per asset per person to excel over a standardized time period. This can be accomplished with someone savvy with Excel but it isn't out of the box. It also would be nice to have some preset images for assets. This make data enter a snap. Inventory Management Assset Mannagement Tracks not only who has assets, but the assets availability (i.e., needing repair or functional) also cost, age, maintenance and repair cost. This is great for working with inventory. Last, they have awesome support group. They respond quickly and will provide one-on-one video call to clarify issues. #### Cons Cannot print a list of items in a kit. Cannot convert template kit to kit. Cannot see kits when loan rights are through portal access. Cannot print accessories by category of accessory #### Reasons for choosing Reftab they did not allowed for kits.
