White glove service for hosting Drupal

Overall security, and timely restoration of service in the event of a problem are most important. The vendor's ability to respond to requests and fix problems is second most important, this is linked with the need to reduce the burden on our resources. Acquia exceeds expectations in all these areas.

Pros

Platform and Infrastructure / Reliability and SLA are best in class. The technical support model results in a reduction in burden to our resources. Leader in industry reviews (Forrester / Gartner). Has all the compliance and certifications we require. Security for network, firewall, application layers and system updates and security patching support.

Cons

Acquia has a high cost, at 100k annually. It's important to understand that the service replaces a FTE.

Cons

I mean, if it were free that'd be even better, but...

Great platform for Drupal services

Pros

They provide everything you need for a Drupal installation, including some extras that aren't standard with the platform. We were able to launch quickly and efficiently.

Cons

A few of the solutions seem overengineered, without a tiered approach that might be better suited for smaller businesses/projects. Or, conversely, you wind up having to pay for the full service before you're fully ready to embrace it.

Excellent Service Offering

Pros

As an early player to Drupal hosting , Acquia so far has very good foundation and reliability across all services

Cons

Seems a slight financial over-spend, there are equally good but more cost effective options
