A simple and effective tool of onboarding and SOP documentation

We used AirManual to automate our pre-onboarding and onboarding process. New hire feedback has been fantastic and the team have found it easy to use. What makes AirManual really special is the customer support and training they provide. We've been blown away by the attention to detail and help we've had to guide us through the process.

PROS

The software is simple to use and does what is say on the tin. You can create simple checklist quickly and it's easy to edit and update.

CONS

Some features are still in development but the AirManual team have been fabulous at responding to feature requests and the tool keeps getting better and better.

Reasons for switching to AirManual

We were looking for something easier and more intuitive to use.

A highly effective tool that keeps things simple

Simple is the name of our game and with AirManual, you get exactly that. A simple and quick way to get everything organized and documented to keep your team flowing day to day with ease.

PROS

I love that it is easy to get started on a new document in the blink of an eye and you can have something good going strong in about the same amount of time it takes to brush your teeth.

CONS

I don't think I have found anything I don't like, but I'm looking forward for new features to keep rolling out for even more usage options.

Reason for choosing AirManual

The support team at AirManual loves what they do and you can tell through their service. If an issue is ever present, their strong follow up confirms there's a true passion to not only correct, but constantly improve the tool. Experiencing that shared value alone makes me feel like a true partner with AirManual.

Reasons for switching to AirManual

Setting things up and getting started in Microsoft was always a hassle. Without having to worry about formatting, file organizing and uploading anymore, we are churning out new process documents, training tools etc in no time by using AirManual.

PROS

It is a live document that can be amended as the business changes and grows.

CONS

The size of photos and fonts cannot be changed in the document. I understand that it is supposed to be an online document, but for parts of it we need to print and this can be costly due to the amount of pages that prints off. I also have to adjust the size of the photos elsewhere before being able to copy them into AirManual.

Finally A Place We Can All Document Our Processes

The team were brilliant at onboarding us. Rather than just an app, I felt we gained a process and system for documenting and sharing processes in our growing business.

PROS

The guided checklists ensure the overview, big picture is covered before getting into the detail. It's uncluttered and really enables the team to focus on documenting how things are done.

CONS

I'd like to see the manage features integrated into the whole documentation process, rather than having to switch modes/views.

Reasons for switching to AirManual

Notion is powerful but it can be overwhelming, giving you more features than you need for a specialist task of documentation. AirManual's focus makes it more suitable for this task. Good practice is built into the way it's been designed.

AirManual review

I have saved about a week already by delegating quite complicated processes to my virtual assistant seamlessly. My overall experience is very positive.

PROS

The guided checklists are excellent, particularly in conjunction with the other items that can be embedded. I particularly like how easy it is to embed a video, which makes it so much easier to introduce someone to a new process quickly.

CONS

If there were more options for highlighter colours, I would be even happier.

Reasons for switching to AirManual

Although both packages can provide some of the functionality of AirManual, that isn't what they're for and it's complicated and clunky and surrounded by other distraction.

Easy and efficient software

It has been simple and helpful.

PROS

It is very easy to use. It is user friendly and accessible to everyone and anyone. Considering we work in a construction industry where we have field employees and office employees, this helps both worlds stay connected and updated with documenting, processes, and information.

CONS

Sometimes, there are glitches when I am working on a page. It may be that I am adding too much but it becomes slow at times.

Reasons for switching to AirManual

We needed to make documents more readily available with accurate and current information since so much does change in our company because of the industry we are in.

I love AirManual and the people behind it

Really happy. [sensitive content hidden] is great, she always helps me out and is the reason I have decided to become a partner. It's just really simple to use.

PROS

I love how easy it is to use and log into. That I can use it on my mobile with ease. I like the way I can work through a checklist and then do something else and come back to it. Having it save automatically is ideal. I like that I can link in other programs with ease and open up several taps.

CONS

I would like to be able to quick view checklists, so I didn't need to fully go into them, but I could hover over it and see if it's what I need. I would like to be able to test links when I am in the composing stage rather than having to publish the checklist list then check the link. I would like a print text option so that I could copy a checklist into an AI generator and have the AI turn it into a video from my written text.

A simple and efficient way to manage your projects

AirManual has been excellent during the onboarding process. We have been very lucky to have [SENSITIVE CONTENT] as our point of contact and trainer on the software. She has walked us through every step and help us create workflows ready for the time when we move from the trial on to the starter package. She has provided us with tech support when needed and she's taken the initiative of adding processes and checklists that she thinks we will find helpful. I really hope she will continue to be [SENSITIVE CONTENT] because she's awesome! :-)

PROS

I love a tick-box list of to-dos! Air Manual makes creating a process for a project extremely easy. If there is a particular way that you want something done, the checklists and processes that you can create make step-by-step instructions that are intuitive and incredibly easy to follow. I also like how you can track the progress of a project and who last worked on it making a seamless handover of project tasks to other users.

CONS

I wish that there was an SME favorable package. As a small business, the starter package is great but I would have liked the option of having some of the features of the team package like; managing permissions for pages and folders, and making checklists, forms, and documents available to people outside of our organization. Even if that meant paying for those features as an 'add-on' to my starter package. Those are two features that we would use regularly but the price is not supportive of a team of fewer than 5 users.

Review of AirManual for teacher training purposes

AirManual has prompted us to create a series of training videos and information that can be housed in one place. We now use them for training new teachers, reminding existing teachers of our key teaching strategies and for sending them new information. It's extremely useful for existing teachers to go back and revisit key training materials. Overall, it has revolutionised the way in which we train teachers and wonder how we ever survived without it. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and his team have been so supportive and have listened and responded to our every need.

PROS

The product is very easy to use and share links with colleagues. The folder system helps you to organise training materials in a logical order. Having everything in one place is extremely beneficial to our organisation. It's compatible with uploading videos from Loom and YouTube.

CONS

It would be useful to have an editing photos function. As we came onboard in the early days, the AirManual team worked very closely with us to include beneficial features such as making text bold, underline etc. The team made the changes very quickly and responded to all of our needs.

Reason for choosing AirManual

[SENSITIVE CONTENT], the Centre [SENSITIVE CONTENT], has been searching for something like this for years but never found anything suitable or as good as this.

The answer to documenting and systemizing your business

PROS

The platform is not just another application, there is true structure and reason behind the approach. The whole process with AirManual is so much more than just software, you learn new rational and methodologies to best practices, while working with an incredibly uplifting and inspiring team who drive action.

CONS

Have not found any so far and new features keep being released.

We liked it so much we've become partners!

Knowledgeable staff providing good project management, training and communication during the on- boarding. Made for a soft landing and good adoption within the first month.

PROS

Provides an extremely simple way for us to create guides for our clients on how to use various functions in the CRM System. In the past we used help authoring tools and then had a headache finding a hosting solution. AirManual provides a simple UI to create guidance pages in minutes. Its search function is what really puts it in a different class though, making it quick and easy to find relevant content.

CONS

Could have a more comprehensive model for sharing pages with specific users who are not inside our organisation or an active user on AirManual

AirManual is helping us to revolutionise our business and growth plans

I didn't expect the trial to go well as I was under the misconception that this app would serve the purpose needed but I was completly wrong. From the beginning the implementation has been much easier than expected and my team have adopted more than expected. I am very happy with the decision to invest time and money into AirManual and I urge any company that wants to improve their process management to adopt AirManual in their business.

The flexibility and scope to illistrate our working processes so team members and customers really enjoy the experience

Currently there is no formal option for branding

Great support and functionality!

Overall the experience has been amazing and the support from [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has been exceptional. She understood our pain points from the first meeting and attended each call with great enthusiasm and energy. As a result, we have been able to streamline and document our Onboarding processes, allowing us to not just save time but also improve the experience for our new recruits.

PROS

Documenting our processes in AirManual has been such a joy! The software is extremely easy to use and navigate around, plus it looks a lot smarter than some of the other process software currently on the market.

CONS

I would be keen to see some integration with Gmail!

Works like a dream compared to similar products

PROS

I have to say, I've been incredibly impressed so far. The interface is smooth, snappy and simple compared to Process Street, which I used to use. The team is there to get you set up and hold your hand through getting set up and designing your checklists, and they suggest actually useful improvements along the way. Thank you AirManual for making my life easier!

CONS

Needs a couple quality of life features that I've seen elsewhere, but it's 99% of the way there.

Systems & Organization

Excellent, the extra help and customer support that provided was a key piece in what helped us be successful with the product.

PROS

This allows me to create a process from beginning to end that I can reuse with each new client on-boarding or staff on-boarding and steps are missed as well we can stop the process and pick-up later or hand off to another team member without flaw.

CONS

Customization of personal users and the interface. It would be cool to be able to change the homepage once we login to our company colors or to have our company logo. Such as I have with my google account.

Worthwhile investment for your business

PROS

I find AirManual very user friendly, I enjoy that it can be completely bespoke to your company. Creating a process is super easy and can be easily updated and republished in a matter of a few clicks. It also gives great peace of mind having a live chat box should you need any support and our account manager [sensitive content hidden] is very quick at responding to us which we really appreciate.

CONS

I would definitely find it useful to have a 'favourites' section where I can save all my favourite/most used processes in one place. It can be somewhat time consuming if you can't remember where a certain process is kept. I'd also find it beneficial to have the ability to delete old/unused checklists but I know this is something in the AirManual pipeline!

Awesome product!

Awesome! The system its self has vastly improved the organisation of all our processes.

PROS

It's just so easy to navigate. Whatever you do in AirManual just feels easy, wether you're adding links/video's to an existing process that you've copied across or setting up a new process from scratch. The checkbox & guided checklists mean processes are simple to complete & ensure no step is missed.

CONS

An improvement to the system would be an overall view of the active/completed processes rather than having to go into each process to see what ones are currently active.

Processesing made painless!

AirManual has been a fantastic tool for us and has completely changed the way we onboard staff. It has also helped us to realise all the things we weren't doing and put processes in place to manage every aspect of the business. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is always available to answer any queries and support us with using the tool. Overall, this has made the prospect of growing the team much less daunting.

PROS

AirManual is a very user-friendly tool. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] held our hand through the onboarding process which helped to keep us on track with documenting our processes, as well as training us to use the tool. The best part about AirManual is the live checklist which enables users to work through a process at their own pace, and pick up where they left off! As a manager, you can monitor staff's individual progress through the different processes.

CONS

More text formatting options would be great, although this hasn't hindered us in any way.

A Quick and Easy Way to Train your Team

PROS

It was really quick and easy to get up and running with AirManual - the system itself is very intuitive meaning creating the checklists took no time at all. It's also gives me confidence that the team is using standardised approach to tasks when using the checklists and the checklists are also easily edited which means we can quickly make and share any changes to the task with the team.

CONS

I'd have liked it to be a bit easier to re-order/move sections within the checklists when editing, however I know the AirManual team are already looking into implementing these changes

Intuitive and easy to use

PROS

It's really easy to get to grips with AirManual and you can create checklists and process documents that are easy to follow and break everything down really nicely. I particularly like the 'help' boxes you can add to your checklists to provide additional info without creating huge blocks of text.

CONS

It would be useful to be able to 'favourite' specific checklists within your profile, but otherwise I've loved how easy it is to use.

Quick and easy

By using Airmanual, we have all our processes and procedures electronically in one place!

PROS

Very user friendly, quick to find your way around it! I love being able to customise each section, using bullets and/or number lists, check lists or text boxes, even adding in videos from different platforms. Being able to edit photos/text using the highlighters/markers makes it more interactive.

CONS

If you accidentally delete an image you have to go find it and add it again, no "undo" button. If there is a way to do this, I haven't figured it out yet.

While you are correct that the tool itself does not have an undo button, you can use Ctrl + Z (if using Windows) or Cmd + Z (if using Mac) to undo any changes. I hope that helps :)

Getting us organised!

We love AirManual! The software is brilliant but their team are even better, so helpful and friendly and really take the time to get to know your business and work out how the software can assist and better our processes.

PROS

I love the hands on nature of the product so that I can build processes as they are evolving. It is simple, yet extremely effective and can be used for a multitude of different functions allowing it be useful across many different aspects of our business.

CONS

Too easy to delete whole processes and all the data attached.

So Simple, But Does Evreything!

PROS

AirManual is everything I ever dreamed to have in a cloud-based documentation hub that is our "central source for truth" on SOPs and processes. It's feature-rich without being tedious.

CONS

It's a total blank slate so it is important to have a game plan for how everything is going to be organized so it is useful and easy for others to find documented SOPs, etc.

Great piece of software

PROS

This is such an easy piece of software to use and have available to all users.

CONS

Nothing- it all works well for us. Any issue is easily resolved.
