Pros/Cons
Pros
- We then have to digitally stamp each page and being able to change the date and comments in the stamp so quickly is awesome. It integrates well with PROCORE which is an excellent Management Software.
- Easy way to track progress of project or any PDF plan work. I like how you can see who did what when - great documentation.
- It is easy to work with drawings and documents. Very user friendly and has very good features that help with drawings and documents management.
Cons
- It is unbelievably frustrating. And if your trying to quickly review plan pages before a bid deadline this is TOTALLY the wrong software and you will be quite angry with it.
- Occasionally have trouble with printing to the program, but not frequently enough to stop using it as my PDF maker.
- Customer support is the worst I have ever dealt with.
Pros
- It’s brilliant, simple and easy to use. The wholesalers love me because the take off is easy to read.
- Another feature I like is that you can also remove the backgrounds, which is a great help.
- We have found the software very easy to use, the support and backup is fantastic and the checking and reporting functions are great.
Cons
- Countfire can sometimes fail to recognize the same symbol if there is a difference in orientation, but having said that, the "Toggle" function will identify missed symbols.
- Having to manually count when symbols are of a poor quality. If the wrong symbols were hi-lighted on the check sheets for the symbols would make the evaluation easier.
- There is no automatic scale set or you cant measure say a doorway and tell countfire it should be 0.8m and it calculates the scale.
