Great customer support, excellent features

I'm trying to autogenerate reports, employee documents as easily as possible, and in a cost-effective way. So far, very satisfied and I can see this becoming part of our long-term tech stack.

PROS

The customer support is great. I got stuck in making my template, and the team helped me out. I swung at least 10+ questions towards them, and they helped me get through all of them. The best feature I liked is that you click a button on Airtable, and it automatically attaches the document to an attachment field. No downloads, no hassles. It's a real time-saver Other than that, you can customize the template to pretty much exactly the way you want it. From padding, to branding, to pulling in records from external integrations. I'm using this as a replacement for Airtable's page designer, and I can make: - multiple pages - attach images from linked records - make it look exactly the way I want it to in terms of branding

CONS

I've started using it on May 2021, so I know the team's already working on it - there's not many video tutorials around. The text documents helped me set up my base quite well, but I can imagine that videos would help others a lot more.

Pricing, ease of use, UI and everything else is modern (a big one for me because I don't want to use SaaS that looks like it's from the 2000s).

Built to cater for any User

Amazing software.

PROS

Easy, simple, and sophisticated. These guys thought of everything a company would need from a "documint" perspective. I now save so much time through this simple integration. My business looks 10 times better using this software. I always keep "documint" as a surprise at the end of my presentations and without fail all my clients are blown away.

CONS

It would be unfair for me (a no coder) to ask Documint to simplify their software even more. I need to upgrade my own skills.

Customer Service Kudos

Overall pleased, some of the initial learning curve seems unnecessarily steep (for me) due to Airtable dominance.

PROS

The UI is intuitive and easy to use for new customers.

CONS

Help videos are Airtable dominate but I have never used Airtable. Some diversification might help new users. Using the Data layer UI it is unclear how the visuals relate to the JSON payload provided to Documint.

Automate your Documents and get real work done.

Currently, this is our go-to app for all the Document automation needs and we don't feel like changing it soon.

PROS

I love the way it integrates with multiple services we are using in our company. We use Documint to automate various aspects of our company and love using it.

CONS

This can sometimes be unresponsive that we have noticed sometimes but it really works as expected most of the time.

Exactly what you need to generate reports and documents

We were in the middle of a systems overhaul when we started using Documint, so picking up and learning another tool was not something I was looking forward to. However, the product was so intuitive, we had reports / documents set up in no time. On top of that, their customer service is phenomenal and it's great to see them continually developing the product.

PROS

Documint is very intuitive to use and they keep making improvements in this area all the time! It runs exactly the way you expect it to. I've tried several other options and the hoops they expect you to jump through to simply retrieve your data defeats the entire purpose. Documint lets you set up your template and generate your documents from within Airtable instead of the other way around. Customer service is fantastic. Whenever I come up with what seems like a tricky scenario (filter data that's coming from a linked table, watch for fields to update, etc.), the developers come up with amazing solutions and then take the time to walk me through them.

CONS

There are a lot of options when it comes to customizing your document, so it can take time to format / re-format your document if you make a mistake or need to make a lot of updates (which borders to select when creating a "table", for example). But the benefit of having all those options definitely outweighs the repetitiveness.

Documint is without any doubts the best option to create documents from Airtable.

The experience working with Documint has been magnificent, it has helped me to take a multivendor marketplace to the next level making "Amazon style" work around without the need of a huge development team at the moment of creating legal documents for vendor and customers with a single click. Al being done by this guy who is writing the review and around 5 hours of working time. It has worked great and I'm planning to use it for all my projects in the future

PROS

I loved the way that we can merge information from actual Airtable rows into a document in a matter of seconds with no extra automations needed. I also loved how easy it was for us to get customer support from them. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was super helpful and gave me awesome support even by a video call, a thing that most of the companies do not offer, and they gave me the option to me right away. Creating a template is easy once that you dominate the technique to do it, and it gives you some surprising different levels of scalation with the model that they manage.

CONS

There were a couple of links for the "variable creation" that were not reachable from the template designer, maybe adding that option from the template designer might help a little to avoid reaching customer support because the variable are not working. And, the first time you set up a template can be hard, maybe a better first timer's tutorial on video explaining how to use all the fields properly could help a lot to make the first time easier.

Reasons for switching to Documint

I had to use integromat and google docs templates to make a document that would fail in a lot of cases and that consumed a lot of time while where being created and money, making each document cost around 10 cents per doc. With documint the price is the way lower.

Best automated PDF document creation tool for Airtable

When it comes to Airtable's built-in features, it is extremely difficult to output any sort of a PDF document from your data — especially if your data contains multiple records that you need to loop through (such as linked record fields). And it is downright impossible to automate any sort of PDF creation with Airtable's built-in tools. Therefore, 100% of Airtable consultants like myself are required to search for external tools which can automate the process of creating high-quality PDF documents from Airtable data. Until Documint showed up on the market, all of the solutions were extremely expensive & very difficult to use, and they also had poor customer support. But Document is a game-changer. It is inexpensive, easy to use, it has an extremely simple API, and the customer support is excellent. For Airtable users everywhere, Documint is the solution you've been looking for!

PROS

Documint is much more affordable than all the other alternatives for automated PDF creation, it has a built-in template editor which is easy & intuitive to use, it has full support for looping through multiple Airtable records (such as linked record fields), its API is simple to use & easy to understand, and its support team is excellent & very responsive.

CONS

The documentation is currently missing depth, but they are in the process of building out all the documentation right now! And in the meantime, their customer support is excellent!

The app that Airtable was missing - Documint

I've used Airtable for some time now and it's always been difficult to get good export to a nicely formatted document. It's really only been possible with the help of Zapier or using something like Formstack which is quite an expensive tool. Documint has changed all that. It's easy to use and fully integrates with Airtable to export any document to a PDF and save it back into your base in one click.

PROS

Very easy drag and drop interface. The conditional visibility of blocks are awesome, but the killer feature is being able to loop line items from Airtable linked data. I don't think there is anything else that can do it. The live preview feature is great and the support team are super responsive and helpful.

CONS

Nothing I've found yet. It would be nice to have some more file output options, but not a huge problem and the font availability is quite limited, but I'm sure they are working on that.

Amazing document generation tool!

Highly recommend! I love using Airtable with my automation clients, but a big drawback is that it can be hard to visualize the data. Documint easily solves this problem and allows an endless array of customized reports.

PROS

Documint integrates seamlessly with Airtable, making it incredibly easy to generate a visually appealing report from our data. I set this up for a client who was previously dealing with version after version of google sheets. Thanks to Documint, we're able to save their team time, take advantage of the automation capabilities of Airtable, and make a beautiful report for their stakeholders and internal reference by just clicking a button. Documint simplified their work and helped them create a much more professional looking report. It also easily handled some complex workflows we have such as iterating through a variable number of items in certain sections of our report and calculating totals.

CONS

It's a little tricky to use until you get the hang of it, but their support team is WONDERFUL and walked me through every bit of the process.

Service for organizing information

The neural network and artificial intelligence are doing their job more efficiently than me.

PROS

Works well with the Stacker platform, the integration with it was very handy. The cloud solution helps to understand almost all documents that appear in the company and present them in a convenient graphical form.

CONS

I can't imagine the disadvantages of this service other than the fact that they ask for $ 74.99 per month for advanced functionality, but it's worth it.

At last the help we needed

PROS

For pragmatic reasons we first look at the price. Compared to other offers on the market it has a fair pricing structure (ridiculous what some other campanies charge). We were up and running within minutes. Took a template, made adjustments, plugged in our variables and off we went.

Amazing Software but just as amazing customer support

I can't fault them. Great addition to our software needs.

Once all integrated, it is simply a press of a button to create the documents we want. The customer support has been outstanding and I could not have done this without their bespoke support.

It can take a little getting used to on the setting up, but they are there if you need help.

Changed the game in my business

I love the possibilities this creates in my business. Before, my team and I were manually creating very complex/custom documents for my customers. A manual process limited the amount we could sell and the potential for future products. But now with this level of automation for a completely custom PDF, the sky is the limit.

PROS

Once you get the hang of it, it is very easy to use, and the videos have been very helpful in showing how to use the various features. Customer service has also been EPIC. I do a lot of business with online software companies (my business is 100% online) and Documint has far, far, far exceeded my expectations with support.

CONS

The help database needs to be improved but I am under the impression that this is in progress already.

Streamlining Processes and mitigating errors.

The more I learned about it, the more I could see it benefitting our company. I have only created a few templates thus far, but plan to make so many more. I love that this software becomes the grease to our system, making things move quickly and efficiently. It has essentially cut out an entire data-entry hire, not only saving our company a lot of money but eliminating human error.

PROS

This software has significantly cut down our document creation. We spend months collecting data and then spent weeks copying that data and pasting it into documents. This can now all happen in a matter of seconds! Our team is now able to focus on the things that matter.

CONS

The software does require an understanding of JSON, depending on the complexity of your Airtable base. Ours was very complicated. Thankfully, the Customer Service team was able to walk me through each step, teaching me how to actually use the product, instead of just doing it all for me. Because they took the time to teach me, I now have the ability to make adjustments as the company needs without scheduling time with the software CS team.

Just sign up, schedule a time with them, an the rest is was me seeing my needs fulfilled.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT] took the time to walk me thru the process, added a lot of value beyond the product by being knowledgeable in AirTable as well. It made it easy for me to show them what I was needing and for them to be able to show me how to get the two working seamlessly together. Thanks again [SENSITIVE CONTENT]!

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

PROS

I was building an estimate/invoice system connected to Airtable. I evaluated many other options. PDFmonkey was difficult to code, liquid also required coding, airtable page builder required manual intervention to create the pdf. Documint was the only option where it was easy, could do a variable table on the line items list and would auto generate a pdf. Winner, winner, chicken dinner! I almost gave up on them, but circled back. The [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] did a conference call and showed me how to make it do what I needed. He may not call everyone back, but this was a huge road block he helped me through.

CONS

Had a little trouble building it, but they are creating the documentation or shooting a video on how to.

Easy to use and saves my team tons of time

PROS

What I love about the platform is the easy to use template builder for my documents. I've used a few in the past and they were all very clunky. Documint's interface is very user friendly. The ability to sync up all my data from my CRM has saved me tons of time with busy work. Which frees me up to do more important tasks.

CONS

Their integrations were limited but it looks like they have more coming soon.

Great product! Great support!

[SENSITIVE CONTENT] from Documint is incredible! Very helpful and so patient with my limited ability and my silly questions. He has taken time to jump on a zoom with me, multiple times, to make sure my application of his software is successful.

PROS

It is filling a hole currently in Airtable. This software is very powerful!

CONS

The documentation is still a work in process that they are aggressively addressing. However, they are incredibly responsive to questions and super proactive to making sure the software works for you.

LOVE the support . Email are returned in no time with good explanations.

PROS

I am using Documint to nicely summarize key data for my business. The tool works perfectly, and I am very happy. Above all, however, Documint just has outstanding support.

CONS

My data also consists of PDFs, for which I needed to set up a little workaround to have them included in my Documint. I would have left the 'cons' page blank, as that is not a true 'con,' yet Capterra forced me to not leave this block blank

Documint Initial Review

Awesome. Simple to use. Great customer service.

PROS

I enjoyed how it allowed you to create dynamic pdfs. It allowed for conditionals to be customized as well as list iteration. Easy to work with and get going.

CONS

I mentioned to their customer service it would be nice to have a labeling feature within the pdf being created. Right now I have to create the label field and the fillable text field (which will be filled by incoming JSON in my case). Their customer service informed me that many feature are on the way and my request has been noted.
