# Dropbox User Reviews

## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.5/5
- Total reviews: 21,712

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.5/5
- Customer support: 4.3/5
- Value for money: 4.3/5
- Functionality: 4.4/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 13,856 reviews (64%)
- 4 stars: 6,061 reviews (28%)
- 3 stars: 1,480 reviews (7%)
- 2 stars: 199 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 116 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- Dropbox is especially useful for sharing files and collaborating with others, whether for personal or professional work. While the free plan has limited storage and some advanced features require a paid subscription, the platform delivers consistent performance, strong reliability, and a seamless user experience overall.
- The cloud storage also ensures that everything is accessible from both my phone and laptop, which helps me stay organized even on the go.
- The platform has a clean and intuitive interface, making it simple to upload documents, create shared folders, and collaborate on files without a steep learning curve.

### Most mentioned cons

- One drawback of Dropbox is that the free storage space is quite limited compared to some other cloud storage services. As files grow over time, users often need to upgrade to a paid plan sooner than expected, which may not be ideal for individuals with larger storage needs.
- Another limitation is that some advanced collaboration, security, and file recovery features are only available in higher-tier plans. While the platform works well overall, occasional syncing delays with very large files or slower internet connections can also affect the user experience.
- The platform can also become less intuitive when managing large numbers of files and folders, and some advanced collaboration features are not as comprehensive as those offered by other productivity suites.

Overall the system works great for us in it's amount of storage it will hold and the speed that it will upload and download data for use. Customer support has been great when I have had any type of upload or access issues. I was always able to get a return call. Working remotely was made much easier using Dropbox also when I am not in the office but work on the road or at home. I would not make it without DropBox.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

This storage option gives our company the best value for the money. It is very easy to use and well known by other companies so they are familiar with the product when it is emailed to them. I was impressed how it allows me to send access to multiple people for team collaboration on projects and would allow me to have the team organize all by folders which made easy searching and navigation of the project.

#### Cons

I have seen situations where clients have rejected the access I sent to them because their email security blocked it. This is due to the the fact that many phishing emails will create a link like DropBox and can make people suspicious. I suggest notifying people before you send.

#### Reasons for choosing Dropbox

Price and ease of functions was the main reason along with the fact more people are familiar with DropBox than with OneDrive.

### Lifesaver for a Busy Physiotherapy Practice with Back-to-Back Patients

- Overall rating: 5/5
- Reviewer: Verified Reviewer

- Industry: Hospital & Health Care
- Company size: 11-50 employees
- Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years

Overall, my experience with Dropbox Business has been excellent. It has become an essential tool in my physiotherapy practice, helping me manage time better in a busy clinical environment with back-to-back patients. It keeps my documents, templates, and exercise resources organized and easily accessible, which has significantly improved my efficiency. I would highly recommend it to healthcare professionals who work in fast-paced settings and need quick access to important files.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Dropbox Business has been extremely helpful in my daily work as a physiotherapist in Canada, especially because my schedule is very time-bound with back-to-back patients. I usually have only about 30 minutes per patient, and in between I often need to prepare work notes, doctor notes, or patient-related documents quickly. In those situations, Dropbox saves me a lot of time. I keep all my templates and commonly used documents stored in Dropbox. When needed, I can simply open a saved file, edit it quickly, and print it without wasting time searching or recreating documents from scratch. This has made my workflow much more efficient and reduced a lot of pressure during busy clinic hours. Another very useful feature for me is storing physiotherapy exercises. I often search and save exercise sheets whenever I find good resources, and I organize them in Dropbox. Since I don’t use paid exercise apps, I rely on printed exercise sheets for my patients. With Dropbox, everything is just one click away, which makes it very easy to prepare and print exercises quickly during appointments. The cloud storage also ensures that everything is accessible from both my phone and laptop, which helps me stay organized even on the go. Overall, it has made my work much smoother and more efficient in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

#### Cons

The main drawback is the subscription cost, which can feel a bit high. Also, syncing large folders can sometimes take time depending on internet speed, but it usually works reliably in the background.

Have used Dropbox Business for the better part of 10 years. Although OneDrive is another app we use, I prefer DropBox when it comes to sharing files with people outside my organization. It just works easier than OneDrive.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

Folder structure works well, desktop app works consistently and sync's with mobile uploads almost instantaneously.

#### Cons

Not the fault of Dropbox, but Microsoft Files doesn't allow advanced features for files stored in Dropbox. Such as auto-save and shared access.

#### Reasons for choosing Dropbox

File syncing between mobile devices and desktop app is quicker and more consistent.

My overall experience with Dropbox has been positive. I use it to store, synchronize, and share files across different devices. The service is also reliable for storing and accessing important files remotely.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

Its pricing model is very competitive when compared with the likes of Google Drive and MS OneDrive. It provides great value and can easily integrate in other apps, like MS Office suite instead of necessitating its own apps.

#### Cons

On desktop, the problem of conflicted copies is very rampant. It is one of the biggest productivity killers that my company faces almost on a daily basis. You can get around that with Dropbox for Teams and other steps, but they are not as intuitive.

#### Reasons for switching to Dropbox
