eFileCabinet is a document management solution (DMS) that is suitable for companies of all sizes and in a wide range of industries such as accounting and financial services, manufacturing and healthcare. The solution can be hosted on premise or in the cloud, depending on the user's needs.

eFileCabinet enables users to manage digital data through automated organization, approvals and sharing all from one dashboard. It offers optical character recognition (OCR) which automatically names files, builds a dynamic directory for them and sends them where they need to go.

eFileCabinet offers integration with Salesforce, which gives users the ability to drag and drop and manage files from either system. The system is accessible using mobile apps that can be used from a smartphone or tablet. With this feature, users can take pictures of documents to upload them directly to the app.

Best Value for our Budget

Our twenty-year NPO was not structured to provide access to Marketing Assets, Financial Reports, Historical Correspondences, or basic Corporate documents needed to make application for funding. Employees and volunteers are located in various geographical locations and information was difficult to access. Now, no matter where the Board of Directors, Development Specialists or Operational Staff may be located or what they are working on, needed information will be accessible! This will save us time, money and enable us to provide the proper responses to our donors.

Pros

The ease of setup, the friendly and helpful implementation staff, and the quickness in which I was able to get working on loading up my files. Additionally, I do not have to train my colleagues on the system! They have free trainers available to meet our schedules. And, should we not want personal trainer, we can utilize the online help or chat.

Cons

I haven't found anything I didn't like about the software yet. I am still in the loading process.

The system is is able to integrate with other softwares like sales force , one can access it using mobile phones, this is an incredible feature because an employee can access files even when outside the work place. It has lead to time savings as the physical document files used to consume a lot of time to organize.

efile cabinet organizes important documents in a very secure way and makes it is easy to retrieve any document when need arises. our company deals with so many documents which was cumbersome before getting this software, with it, the problem is solved.

Cons

it is a bit expensive considering its features and a company cannot use it alone, it has to get other softwares to perform other functions.

Using this software has been vital for our quality system audits, as we can easily find all the documents and piece them together for the trail.

Pros

What I like most about this software is its organization of files. In our company, we have to deal with tons of documents and paperwork for our quality system, and this service helps us easily find the information we need.

Cons

I really have very little complaints about this software. One thing I wish was better was the advanced searching, but the company has been able to still use it effectively.

Evaluating the free trial for now

Liking it better than the current Filecenter by support team that I am using. May switch if pricing was negotiable.

Pros

Seems very user friendly and packed with options. Like the fact that you can have templates for creating repetitive folders for clients month to month or annually.

Cons

May have too many unusable options, but that is no deal breaker. Wish it could integrate with Quickbooks. May seem a little pricey since it is only a subscription based software.

Excellent file storage solution!

Feature rich, easy to use, overall I like this much better than Smartvault!

Pros

I think it is great how this syncs with SecureDrawer, a feature that has saved me so much time! This lets me retrieve my client's documents instantly, and I can even transmit confidential info, safely and securely. Overall, very versatile, I could see this having cross-industry applications, and hope that more people will come to realize how perfect it could be for their needs!

Cons

A few of the features are a little poorly explained, but the excellent customer service set me straight every time!

Spectacular SERVICE after the sale!

Pros

The sales pitch was incredible and I was excited to get to use it and keep up with all of my files.

Cons

NOTHING worked the way they said it would. Customer service was awful. No one wanted to help, I tried call after call after call to no avail. Finally told them what they could do with this incredibly shoddy piece of software.

Efile Cabinet

We are saving on file cabinet space and saving time by finding what we need with efile cabinet. It is a great time saver and space saver, when my employer needs clients documents I have them in seconds. It is great!

Pros

That is it user friendly and easy to find your clients files. You can scan everything in right at your fingertips.
When you need to go straight to efile cabinet! Look up your client and they are there. It is also easy to email to your clients documents!

Cons

I don't have any except just every once in a while it will have a problem opening, but I call the tech department and they are on it quickly and I am up and running

Not worth it unless you NEED customer support

We trialed eFileCabinet for a smaller business and found that it didn't bring enough value for us to keep it over Google Drive. After 60 days, we cancelled our account and went to Google Drive.

Pros

The best thing about this software is the phone customer support which you lose with Google Drive. It has the same features such as being web based, having cell phone apps, etc. I will also admit that it is very easy to use and navigate. It's also a little more obvious to see sharing/restriction settings. They also claim to be very secure compared to other options but I am not an expert in this area.

Cons

Google Drive provides a much better service at a fraction of the cost. It also integrates a lot of other features like editing documents online that eFileCabinet doesn't allow.

Fantastic document management system I use for work and personal files

I wish I would have found this software earlier in my career. I have never been so organized and my office has never run so smoothly. I can't say enough how much this has helped my business and my selling process.

Pros

The eFileCabinet sidekick app is always on my desktop. The ease of dragging and dropping files into the app as well as the organization keeps me extremely organized so I can focus on more important tasks. Having all my data in the cloud allows me to access it anywhere and has helped me win new business on multiple occasions. I can't see myself ever going without this software.

Cons

eFileCabinet isn't the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I am happy to pay a higher amount for the ease-of-use of the software and their great customer support. I do wish they had a monthly payment option but I have no issues continuing to pay the annual amount.

Convenient, organized and easy to learn document managing software

Pros

eFileCabinet has helped me organize data on my desktop so that it can easily be found. This software allowed me to sort files according to my style which is a great feature. Privacy is well thought of upon creation of this software. Another feature of this software is the ability to access files anywhere through mobile.

Cons

Not all file extensions can be uploaded, which is bothersome, given that our company deals greatly with a lot of different data. Future updates might be able to fix this issue.

Easy Document Storage Solution

Pros

I like the ability to set up secure document storage that others at work don't have access to. Our business floats on a sea of paper and eFileCabinet lets me reduce some of that paper.

Cons

Limited file types are supported. Our DMS will not communicate with eFileCabinet nor will our CRM.
