CMS take it to the next level!

What do I like best? For me the best features about DNN platform are the ease of use and speed. I can implement a fully functional web portal including user-role based security. Also, I can update the website real-time and check on my changes. Editing, publishing and monitoring content is truly easy. No need to require heavy web development skills. Another great advantage of DNN platform is the community of users, which is very dynamic. You can really connect and collect a lot of information. I have been able to go from knowing nothing about Evoq 8 to being very comfortable with their content management tool. The DNN wide community around the world is really huge and accessible but more important very dynamic. What do I dislike? When I first started using DNN back in 2009 there were some security and performance issues. But, the team resolved those issues. As of today, I honestly can't think of anything significant wrong. Why do I recommend the product? I would strongly recommend DNN Evoq 8 to support your web development project, intranet or extranet. Evoq Content or Engage are great products that will provide you with a the right online presence. DNN platform does not require extensive coding experience. On the other hand, if you are a seasoned developer, you will find that the DNN platform offers a very robust solution to implement custom web based applications and modules. What do I do? I am a web designer with front-end web development skills (learning more about back-end development as well) and was able to content management tool to maintain the web site. Bottom line, I implement and monitor content every day DNN platform has provided me to tools to do my job right.

The enjoyable management of a Microsoft-flavored CMS is simply Drag and Drop

Evoq has great choice for Microsoft Azure lovers via Microsoft cloud store, and a complete and Agile CMS management for the website developers. Creating , editing, publishing of complete content is under your control and supervision and that's it.

PROS

First of all I like the simplicity of this platform. There are so many beautiful layouts with so many pre-made templates. It has a lot of great features, it has never been so easy to build a website and create a web page. Creating an access level for editing content, as well as the ability to customize content based on user group and geographic area is very useful to me.‌ In general, it is possible to personalize content based on different filters, and it has great ideas for showing custom content to a group of users.

CONS

The ability to automatically transfer website and DB from other CMS platforms, such as transferring content and media from another site to Evoq, should be easier, and this possibility should be available to all sites with just one click.

Reason for choosing Evoq Content

Professional and fast service, more reasonable prices and the possibility of solving complex issues for creating new content page.

Reasons for switching to Evoq Content

Following the speed of rapid learning to transfer resources to other countries has increased ، And many companies from different places can check and get answers.

Do not recommend

Much better currently (2022) than the original version(s) used as early as 2018. But original version in 2018 was borderline unusable. Could have been server capacity issues as well (very slow to navigate, making changes would time out before they were finalized) but even current version does not provide a good user interface when making updates and changes. Embedded HTML tools are hit or miss and do not produce expected results. Required to dig into source code to reliably make changes.

PROS

Recognizable interface that is easy to navigate (but hard to expect consistent, predictable results from)

CONS

The recognition of the interface seems to be a result of the interface cobbling together parts of other back end systems and making them *almost* work. If you want what I can only assume is a cheap alternative to high end software, this is a good 80-90% solution assuming you are well versed in HTML.

DNN Evoq works well and is easy to use

Evoq DNN has definitely made it easy to learn web building and continue on up from there. It has made it easy to edit and keep up our website.

PROS

The software was set up for anyone from beginner to advanced to use which makes it more versatile, there are lots of features included in the software for websites.

CONS

The only con I had found was that you have to update it constantly to make sure your site is secure.

Really effective CMS

A huge step up from old DNN days. We've been using DNN since 2006/2007 and the current version is feature full and easy to use.

An easy-to-use CMS

PROS

A very easy-to-use CMS especially if you're not technically sound. The admin personabar has been a welcome improvement over the old clunky admin navbar.

CONS

We've done lots of install. Most of the time it works but there's the odd instance where the install fails and troubleshooting it is one of the trickiest things that we have to do. The framework itself is a little dated. Not saying it's necessarily bad but something to think about if you want a bleeding-edge CMS. It's a mix of different technologies as well which could be a challenge if you require custom development.
