About File Viewer Plus

File Viewer Plus is an advanced Windows file utility your team can use to efficiently open, edit, save, and convert files. The software opens over 400 file formats, including PDFs, spreadsheets, text documents, audio files, images, video files, source code files, compressed archives, and many more. It also includes a batch converter that can convert many files at once. Version 6 supports high-quality conversion of PDFs to Word documents.

File Viewer Plus a file viewer "plus" a lot more. It is a complete file utility that has a built-in file manager, identifies unknown files, and displays hidden file information, including several types of metadata. No matter what file you drag onto the app window, File Viewer Plus will try to open it and display as much information as possible.

The all-in-one tool provides a simple and cost-effective way for businesses manage files without needing to install dozens of applications. File Viewer Plus is fully-functional offline and is now available in a read-only version for added security.

Pros:

I can have all on my laptop and phone syncs and backs up data organization picking up where I left off.

Cons:

The subscription are outrageous and I don't like the recurring billing

Doesn’t live up the advertised claims

Disappointing. For me it simply didn’t work most of the time.

It seemed like a good idea…it claimed it could open multiple formats, file types, convert content and other functions.

Cons:

It simply didn’t work most of the time, didn’t do what it stated on the ‘box’. Most files couldn’t be viewed or converted. It was much less capable than I hoped.

Ease of upgrade path, cost and claims of functionality.

Reasons for switching to File Viewer Plus

This seemed like an upgraded product. It performed much worse than what it claimed to upgrade.

Thanks for the feedback. File Viewer Plus can open over 400 file formats, but the program does not support certain proprietary file types. In these cases, the app provides as much information as possible about the file, including header info, metadata, and a description of the file format. If you were unable to open specific files, please let us know what formats File Viewer Plus could not open, and we'll do our best to support them in a future update.

Most important is that it needs to open MANY file formats.

Cons:

VERY SLOW! Software needs to be reengineered and optimized for speed. Also it didn’t view several file formats that I think it should have (I didnt keep a list). Definitely not worth paying money for!
