Relatively easy to use. Almost everyone is used to working with Firmex and hence makes file sharing simple. #### Cons UX/UI could be improved. For example, re document management, if I click on a folder, it does not show me the subfolder that are in it in the center view of the screen so I would think it is empty. It also does not highlight a folder name blue on the left-side panel, if all it contains is subfolders. No incentive was offered I really enjoy all of my ecounters with Firmex except the inability to use it from a mobile phone #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros The ability to easily move / copy documents #### Cons It is hard to use on a mobile phone and use from a mobile application standpoint #### Vendor response We appreciate the positive feedback on the easy of use and copying documents which saves time and resources compared to other providers. Our platform can be used on a mobile web browser and we do offer an iOS app. The app isn't designed to be a complete substitute, it is meant to be able to store documents offline as well as make some changes remotely. No incentive was offered I like using Firmex once I figured out how to use. But I shouldn't have to figure out how to use. It should be easy to use. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros Once you figure out how to use its easy but I had to take the time out to figure out. Uploading and downloading is very easy, this function is easy to figure out. But we have to make sure the "Upload, all at once" button has to be clicked. Customer service is excellent. #### Cons Its easy to use once you used it. But its not easy to figure out how to use. If I want to create a new folder, it should be easy to find and to use it. Its not clear what "Add Directory" is. I had to go to the help section to obtain a clear answer. It looks like a folder once I "ADD Directory". And the folder color is grey and stays grey. To me, grey is not being used or not functioning. Color should be change to a folder color or some other color. I had ppl email me that they had access and no longer have access. I have to send another invite, so there is some disconnect there. And it happened with ppl that used Firmex many times before. Is not clear how to add or delete ppl when you are adding them to the Firmex. #### Vendor response Thanks for the feedback, like any platform using for the first time there is somewhat of a learning curve which is why we have best in industry support. Our team can help you navigate and are available 24/7/365 for any user assistance or troubleshooting. For the additional folders, sub folders and users, the drop down arrow once selected by a user, folder or sub folder will give you all the options needed to make changes. No chasing down emails or latest versions of files. #### Cons The filing system could be easier to manage, or have better categories to choose from. #### Vendor response Thanks for the feedback on how easy it is to retrieve documents within the platform and not having to chase down what the latest version of the document as we have a version management tool built into the platform. Definitely one of the better, user-friendly data rooms I have used. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros It is very efficient and I have never had an issue downloading files or accessing a data room. #### Cons I don't like the new interface as much as the previous one. The previous interface was a little easier to use and I didn't have any issue with functionality. I don't like that when you checkbox individual files, you don't have the option to download them with the folder path. You can only download with a folder path included if you click the "Download" button without checking any files, which can be a little cumbersome downloading unneeded files. I think that needs to be updated asap. #### Vendor response Thanks for the feedback, great to hear about your experience and how easy it was to navigate our platform. We pride ourselves in how easy our user interface is to accommodate all users logging in to our data room. We do have the ability to leave comments and tags which can be found on the right hand side of the documents tab. Those comments and tags can be searched for within the search tab as well, although isn't a report function it still can be found easily.
