Pros
- I love that I can store and organize files from all of Google's suite of services. I love that it backs up to my physical computer.
- The personal data and all the files are safe now because google drive is the best platform. I am very happy to have it.
Cons
- Also, sometimes when I uploaded files from my phone it took forever to upload and it stopped, giving me errors. This was a while ago, but it happened for almost 3 months and it was quite annoying.
- It can sometimes be a little confusing to organize and the kids I work with have trouble loading documents to it from chrome-books.
Pros
- You can have your own OwnCloud server on-premises. SSO authentication and Custom branding make a great integration with internal tools.
- It's great to have your storage in house. The piece of mind that you know where your data is at all times is important, but also, nothing beats local for speed.
Cons
- Technical ability is mostly required to setup and your system and to update. Auto update is a pain and mostly pushes one to manual process.
- When first added, there were a few errors that I had to have my host sort, because I couldn't find any documentation on them for the OwnCloud.
