The most common of these is with physician residents. In our home state, refills are invalid if the prescribers' license is inactive, so those dispenses would have been both illegal and subject to payer refunds. We also caught an OIG exclusion with a week of its posting. Ratings Breakdown 5 Ease of use 5 Value for money 5 Customer support 5 Functionality Pros: As both a Compliance and Clinical Officer, our ability to confirm state licensure, DEA, OIG, PECOS, and NPI is necessary for regulatory and accreditation compliance, as well as reimbursement. The problem has been twofold, the amount of time it takes to confirm those credentials directly and the currency of faster confirmation tools. What our staff appreciates most is the ability to confirm credentials and have immediate primary source verification without delaying initial dispensing. Cons: There are no dislikes with the Modio Carbon software. The most desired improvement is to have Modio Carbon integrate with our pharmacy dispensing software to update prescriber files, which will also improve adjudication and PDMP activities. Reasons for choosing Modio Health There really isn't anything that I could find that offered what Modio did for the price. There are also very limited options for third party credentialing companies to use a software. Reasons for switching to Modio Health In efficient, extra work was put in that was not necessary, and no streamlined processes. Cons: They send invoices via Quickbooks. No auto-pay. VERY difficult to cancel this service. Still getting invoices despite notification of canceling months ago. Doesn't always sync with the state medical boards, still have to manually enter data. Lack of templated outgoing emails. The user friendly interface doesn’t require extensive training so we were able to jump in benefit from the functionality right away. Modio support has been amazing, they clearly welcome feedback and are constantly making improvements. The efficiency and productivity gained by using Modio invaluable. I highly recommend Modio for any size practice. Ratings Breakdown 5 Ease of use 5 Value for money 5 Customer support 5 Functionality Pros: My favorite thing about Modio is the Tracking function. It allows for tracking a multitude of follow-up tasks complete with due dates, notes, and the ability to assign tasks to others. All of which are easily searchable and sorted by urgency. My second favorite thing are the reports. The report functions are thorough, versatile, and allow us to perform audits of every variety. We can compare payor lists between providers to discover network participation gaps, audit for missing information in provider profiles, track workflows/expierables, and much more. Performing these tasks prior to Modio was extremely time consuming because the info had to be gathered from a multitude of files rather than a centralized database. Cons: My least favorite thing about Modio is that I cannot make immediate process adjustments as I discover them. Previously, we had no credentialing software whatsoever so when an insurance released a new version of a credentialing form, changed a fax number, or updated an email address… I could replace the form in our files and update our internal processes on the spot. Now, in order to have forms mapped and tracking templates updated, the changes have to be routed through Modios development team before its reflected in my dashboard. Ultimately, I believe the tradeoff is MORE than worth it. The development team is very efficient and it never takes more than a couple days to have the requested updates reflected. Once a form is mapped it can be filled out with a few clicks. Once a tracking template is adjusted to reflect new info, the automation is set indefinitely. Yes, routing these updates through the Modio development team is an additional step we didn’t have previously but well worth it in light of the numerous benefits and efficiency gained by using this software. I’m unable to identify an aspect of Modio that could be improved. Reasons for choosing Modio Health We chose Modio because we found it to be all encompassing and user friendly. We have some new physicians coming on board so I am excited to be able to try the onboarding feature out soon to see how that goes. Overall, my initial contact with the sales department, setting up the platform with my project manager, and the time spent with my training specialist was awesome. It has been such a pleasure to work with everyone on the implementation team. I am happy I chose Modio! It is super easy to add a new provider to my group and add all the important documents that the system will automatically alert me prior to a cert expiring. This helps me keep all of my doctors info up to date. Cons: The only thing I noticed about the product that I would change is the alert timeframe. The system automatically alerts us 60 days prior to expiration dates, however, I wish this timeframe could be customizable so I can set it to alert me further in advance if desired. Reasons for choosing Modio Health I used Symplr at my previous business so since I am already familiar with it, I decided to look into utilizing it in my new position. I decided against it once I saw how user friendly Modio is and the cost was significantly less. Symplr is also used for the enterprise level business and I only require a small platform at this time. From the implementation to the customer service follow up, everyone on the Modio team I've worked with has been wonderful! The software has streamlined my department so much, and allows for transparency into the department. It allows me to stay on top of the upcoming expiration's on everything from affiliations appointments to CAQH re-attestations. It allows me to have confidence in my credentialing skills, and for my providers to have confidence in me. Cons: A small aspect I don't like about this software is I cannot search providers through the quick access in the "Documents" tab. Anytime I'm in the "documents" tab and want to go to another profile, I need to click on a separate tab, search the provider name and click on it. Or I can go back to "team". Both of these creates an unnecessary step to jump provider profiles. Reasons for choosing Modio Health The features looked more user friendly. I believed my providers would understand and honestly just like the look of Modio better. In terms of my department, I liked how aligned it was with CAQH, and the tracking steps really sold me. It is concisely organized and easily accessible. Cons: There are some features that would be useful (for example, importing a payor to multiple providers at one time; right now, it must imported one by one. It would also be useful if the note information moved from provider to the other when importing the payor information. Even if the software were bad, this would make all the difference...and it is actually great tech as well. They ACTUALLY take feedback, they don't nickel/dime on training (in fact they are quite generous), they implement quickly... From a software standpoint, they drive efficiency in process, allow tracking and monitoring, document storage, workflow development...it is a really robust, but not overly complicated solution. Cons: I would use this space to complain about functionality I want...but they have taken our feedback and implemented many of our requests. If I had to be critical, I would say it might be overwhelming if untrained...but they overcome that with great training/implementation and quite frankly the problems this software solves are inherently complicated to begin with. Multiple people can view what licenses are set to expire. This allows for the whole team to send our physicians friendly reminders to renew their licenses. We are also able to pull data such as home address and dob making it easy for us to see where our physicians are licensed and what states they reside in.
