Pros/Cons
Pros
- Insights is helpful, and the customer service team is fairly responsive. Once they do get back to you, they usually have the answer you are looking for which is great.
- Salsify's ability to provide a comprehensive solution that manages our expansive content management volume, with multiple vendors, is impressive.
- Overall I think this is a great tool and helps clean up processes.
Cons
- We were having a horrible time trying to keep up with content demand from dozens of retailers all with different systems.
- The vendor has a very bad level of service, it takes months to even have a conversation and get a quote.
- Missing analytics behind what retailers have all of the available content on their websites.
Pros
- It's easy to use and great for organizing, tagging, and retrieving your digital assets. It's also very scalable, which is nice.
- It is the perfect combination of OOTB design and customization opportunity such that any company can implement this product to fit their needs while not feeling overwhelmed.
- Overall, this is a great tool to share all our many photos and visual assets. It creates a nice visual and the download options are great.
Cons
- Inability to connect to SAP (for now). Privacy features are a little confusing to understand and implement, making it harder to bring people into the system.
- I know that this has to do with the upload metadata and probably is related to user error. Perhaps if there was a more automated way to add search criteria when uploading, this wouldn't be an issue.
- Hard to do advanced searching with filters—they work in kind of a frustrating way that's hard to explain succinctly.
