Hive is a cloud-based collaboration software tool for small and midsize organizations, primarily in technology-related fields. It is used by project teams to automate and streamline project workflows.
Users can communicate with other team members by creating group conversations or send direct messages for private conversations. Hive also offers integrations with over 100 other cloud-based tools and allows users to receive automated updates from integrated systems without leaving the platform.
From within the platform, users can access files from Google Drive, Box or Dropbox. Files can be dragged and dropped onto a message to share them or onto an action to attach them.
Action templates help automate assigning tasks by allowing users to assign the same steps used on previous actions. Users can also toggle between different views, including their individual actions, team actions, progress view or view by labels.
There is a free starter version, and paid versions are priced per user per month. Priority support, unlimited integrations and other upgraded features are available with the paid versions. All versions are free to nonprofit organizations. Hive offers mobile apps for both iOS and Android.

This software is really cool if you want to automate things in your house such as your heating and lighting where you can use sensors for when you walk into your house they will turn the lights on automatically. The app they offer is really easy to use and very straight forward. The downside is that sometimes it lags so if a sensor goes off it does not turn the lights on right away. In summary, the idea is really good and the execution is good but the reliability needs to be worked on as it does not always work.

The best part about Hive is how you can connect different tools my team and I are already using to it - like Dropbox.
It is a bit pricey for the functionality, but definitely the best solution to integrate a number of different business tools that we are already using.

Hive brings our entire team into one collaborative workspace, allowing us to replace most emails with chat & task management. Samepage.io is also worth reviewing - haven't tried it but seems to also have a strong feature set at a similar or lower price, and includes video chat.
* Ability to view work by project, but team members all in one view, and then filter tasks to everything assigned to me across multiple projects
* Responsiveness of customer service team via in app Intercom
* Threaded chat would be nice. This was recently added to Slack, but Workplace by Facebook does it even better
* Filter out actions that have not hit their start date yet, AND tasks that have an unmet dependency. Goal is to focus attention toward work which can be done now, and minimize extra human manual filtering.
* Needs FILTER BY DATE COMPLETED: We're most interested in seeing this available on the "My team" view, but could also make sense elsewhere. While we can filter status view by assignees, projects and status complete, just need this additional ability
* Should be a way to AUTOMATICALLY MOVE URGENT ACTIONS TO TOP: Automatically sort tasks marked "urgent" to top of each respective status list when "Sort Type" "Sort by Priority" has been selected in the project navigator so users don't have to hunt them down and pull them up.

I like how customizable it is. You can change almost literally anything from the interface to adding/removing functionality.
I don't like the lack of integrations that exist though I do believe they are working on integrating a few.

Ok so I used this cloud based service and it was great at first i was skeptical but it turned out to be great. I originally was going for this other service they had a $2000+ upfront fee and $269.99 monthly usage fee and I was a new business owner so didn't really want to pay that much then I found Hive which was cheaper by thousands of dollars and saved me a good $1000+ and it has been great been using for about the last few days and my customers love this service and love how smooth and quick it is for them and it is for me. I would totally recommend this service for new business owners or even professional business owners.

I'm a beauty therapist in Kerry and our salon uses Hive Salon Software. I thought it would be difficult for all our staff members to get used to it but its so simple, just like using a Smartphone! The diary feature is excellent for making fast bookings and has saved us lots of time to work on other areas such as marketing. They gave us a free online booking tool for our salon Facebook page and website which has really increased sales for us as customers tend to use this service after salon hours, there booking pops straight into our diary. The reports feature is also interesting as it enables our manager to view sales, staff performance and top selling treatments. The main advantage we find using Hive is the price. We use the Silver Price Plan which is ¿69.99 a month and we can use the whole 13 features. All in all this has worked very smoothly for us so far and I would recommend it to anyone in the hair and beauty industry.

Have used a number of salon softwares in various jobs but this by far beats them all. Its easy to use, simple 3 click solution, looks great on my tablet. I can acess it 24/7 and has lots of feature. the great thing is all the girls in the salon find it easy to use. I wont be moving from this and the great thing is they recon more features are being released.
