Office Chat is a cloud-based HIPAA-compliant instant messaging solution for small and midsize businesses across various industry verticals. It provides collaboration and communication tools that can be used in the office or remotely. 

Key features include auto-login, delivery confirmation, automatic notifications, priority messages, automatic deletion of messages and more. Users can create multiple user groups, assign role-based group permissions, search chat histories and files and broadcast messages across an organization.

Office Chat allows users to configure message and file retention. It also features security features such as two-factor authentication, data encryption, security logs and ISO 27001 compliant data storage. The solution also offers mobile functionalities for iOS and Android devices that allow users to remotely access the solution.

Services are offered on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via phone, email and FAQs.

    A benefit is the newer options of being able to send attachments.

    Pros

    I like that Office Chat is an app that allows admins to view other chats. I also like the group chats that we can create.

    Cons

    The app will freeze at times and cause computers to freeze.

    They prefer to be paid via credit card & do not really like invoicing. However, our company does not issue company credit cards & had to email back & forth asking if possible to set up for invoicing instead of credit cards. They were very helpful & understood our situation & were willing to make the change for us - even though this is not the norm for them.

    Pros

    When we did our research for a new officechat software, we were really impressed with the features that are available & the ease of use for the end users. Setting up the users is very simple & easy. Just needed to give the end users admin rights to install the software. Very easy to create groups & place people within. Reporting is really great & one is able to turn on & off features with a click on a button. The self destruct can be set with a timer which comes in handy when discussing private & confidential information.

    Cons

    When opening a ticket, waited for most times 24 hours to hear back from them. However, they do have the option to call in if required, however, since this is a virtual company, they prefer either chat or email

    Office chat is great software for communicating with in the office easily.

    it does exactly what it says it's supposed to do and makes communicating in the office easy but there are so many options that are more integrated for all chatting platforms.

    It is 100% working well for me and I love it

    I like the fact that we can chat easily even on our laptops and not only have to use our phones everytime we want to chat or talk about something .

    There is nothing I don't like I like the fact that I can chat even if i'm in the office or out of the office so its convenient and working great for me

    To keep in touch with our other co-workers in different offices around the state.

    Pros

    I can easily find other employees that I work with and send them a message. I also like the features like "show when read", "delete after read', etc. I really like the one that shows me after the other person reads it. No one is able to say that they did not get the message because I have a read receipt. I also like how easy it is to attach a file and send it off.

    Cons

    I do not like the lack of emojis. I know this is a very simple thing, but that is really the only thing I can think of. I really would give this program a 10 out of 10. I can't think of any other problems I've had with this.

    It is so easy to chat with everyone in the office and I never have to pick up my phone! I can send off quick messages and get the responses I need in no time. Way faster than email!

    Sometimes I don't see the notification that I have a new chat but I think it just pops up when I'm not looking!

    Easy and great price.

    Pros

    I like that it is really simple. We use if for inter-office communications. My team and I used it for small communications between our department.

    Cons

    The one big issue that I have with this app is that it literally destroys my battery life. If I am using this app, I need to have my phone plugged in continuously.

    IT IS A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR CREDIT UNION AND BEING ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH MEMBERS AT THE CLICK OF A BUTTON. IN THE CREDIT UNION WORLD, IT JUST MAKES LIFE EASIER INSTEAD OF WALKING OUT OF YOUR OFFICE WITH A MEMBER.

    I REALLY LIKE THE EASE OF IT AND BEING ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH COWORKERS IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. THIS IS AWESOME.

    I HATE THAT SOMETIMES IT GLITCHES OUT AND SHOWS THAT PEOPLE ARE OFFLINE WHEN THEY ARE ONLINE AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT LET ME SEND MESSAGES AND I HAVE TO RESTART THE PROGRAM

    I work in Escrow and a lot of my co-workers are in another location and its easier to ask a quick question without having to send an email only to have it get lost in the sea of the other emails that we receive on an hourly basis. Using this sends a ping right away to the recipient and allow for my questions to get answer much quicker than sending an email

    Cons

    The only thing I don't like about it that the chat screen still shows old chats from employees who do not work at the company any longer and for some reason I can not find a way to remove them. All of our old chats are on my dashboard and I would like to remove them. If there is a way to remove them, I have not found it yet.

    I like this product as recently my institution has chosen to move away from blackboard which we used for Instant messaging. Office chat is simple and easy to use.

    Cons

    It can be difficult to locate your chat history. Thus far that is my only complaint as we have only used the system for a small time.

    Awesome software for communicating with coworkers

    We are able to have instant communications with coworkers.

    Pros

    Officechat is very simple to use. Simple sign on with your same company email address. You can have a list of most recent or frequently contacted coworkers, and you can have access to a list of all coworkers within the company that are logged in. You can also see their status, to see if they are actually at their PCs or away from their desks. Also, you can send images, gifs and other documents through your chat window.

    Cons

    The software feels somewhat clunky at times, and once or twice a month we loose connection to the service for several minutes during the day. Not sure if related to an issue with the company providing the service or with our Internet connection.

    Quick and convenient, non-direct/formal chat software to use with colleges.

    Pros

    The gifs and quick replies. Its easy to use and convenient. The new features are also nice as well. Also, what might be an operator error is getting added and messages to other groups sometimes but that has since seems to be resloved.

    Cons

    When starting a new chat differently from the new function is will not load your previous messages until after you send the new chat and you can't start that "new" chat with sending a picture.

    Keeps you in communication with people from the company you're working at, no matter where their location is. Message notifications are delivered to your mobile app, web app, and desktop.

    Cons

    Chats can sometimes crash, so I believe it is not suited yet to handle big chat rooms. No GIF's are displayed, they appear as images, not animations.

    I love that Office Chat connects our whole office, even those who are out traveling. We are able to keep up to date on all the events.

    Cons

    The only criticism that I have is that you cannot just delete unwanted old conversations. You have to leave the group and then it sends out an alert to the others.
