All Integrated, All in One

PROS

SAP SRM gives you vendor master data as well as vendor behaviour and forecasting vendor buying and paying behavour. Easily integrates with other SAP products and updates real time. Also usable by purchasing and supply planning departments in vendor contracts such as terms, discounts, and pricings.

CONS

SAP products are always hard to master and seting up a new profile takes time. Cannot be used in mobile, only desktop computer is needed.

SAP SRM Eprocurement Solution

This was a big step for our company as it reduced the paper work involved and the procure to pay process was more smooth and the use of shopping carts provides a better way of tracking progress of procurement

PROS

Integrates very well with existing SAP ERP and improves customer relationship with the company. The model of interaction of buyer side and seller side is a great step towards improving workflows. No extra licenses are required for users making it cost effective on a large scale.

CONS

Needs intensive training especially for people with no experience with using SAP systems. Customer support will be dependent on your knowledge of the issues or you may be dependent on a consultant.

SAP SRM Review

Overall I would recommend SAP SRM as it makes it easy to manage vendors and process orders.

PROS

This software integrates well with other SAP products and is similar in layouts so is easy to pick up.

CONS

One thing with SAP SRM is that it takes a while to set up your profile and save the vendors that you use most often.

Very well know dynamic product, just very pricey

PROS

This is a great product because of all the features it has, the abilities, and what you can do to export with it.

CONS

Like any SAP, this is very expensive. You get what you pay for, but at times a small business will have difficulties justifying the cost.

Great SCM Software but its not the easiest way. Like other SAP family products

Unfortunately I left the company where I learned how to use this software, but The Management of the Supply Chain was very easy with some few clicks all the process around.

PROS

As all SAP products you will have all the control, on real time of your processes and company. This software will inform to all processes stages what to do, Purchasing, Loading, Shipping. Once you get over the learning curve, you will not want to use another software

CONS

It´s a expensive software not affordable for small companies or Industries. It´s not a friendly user software for beginners, you have to have some computer skills. It´s easibility depends of how the user will parametrize your process. The learning curve is a little bit long.

Quality ordering system

From an approver standpoint, users are quickly notified via email and can easily click a few buttons to move forward.

PROS

The software is integrated well with SAP and ESS which makes it simple and easy for user to order items and understand how to order these items

CONS

Functionality is dependent upon procurement contracts with vendors offering cloud-based ordering with cost benefit and sourcing savings

Integration for all the company

PROS

In my short time using SAP this has been an excellent tool that connects the supply chain network from either the supplier or the plant to the customer. Great flexibility to adapt to the different changes on a daily basis. Really intuitive tool which one you learn every day something new.

CONS

Short session time, some times you have a call or something to do out of SAP and then when you back your session is closed.

Supplier Portal

Information sharing with vendors is being achieved through SAP-SRM

PROS

I like the fact that it's connected with your own ERP system so real-time information can be shared with vendor partners from the SAP system. I personally shared MM module data.

CONS

While it's very useful software, the interface is outdated. The information flow from SAP-ERP to SRM often gets stuck. Usage is not very intuitive.
