While user-developed applications can be shared freely with other users (as Seatable 'templates',) there is currently no option for developers to monetize their applications.

We used many task and project management tools before like monday.com, wrike, openproject or todoist. We even thought of writing our own small systems. In the end all of these systems are not flexible. They force you and your team to use the software as the developers think it is the best way to use the software. SeaTable is different. You are completely free how to use the software. You need a new row for any kind of information. Just add it...

We use SeaTable as an easy and flexible project and task management tool. All tasks are managed inside seatable. Everyone in the team knows when, where and what to do. Instead of writing emails we use the comment function inside seatable to align about the tasks. Smaller and less critical things we do in seatable is: vacation management, brainstorming, inventory management and everything else we would usually use an excel sheet for. We use a self hosted SeaTable server instead of a cloud account. The price is fair especially for small teams.

SeaTable could improve in terms of usability. E.g. it is not possible to work with the keyboard only. Sometimes you have to switch to the mouse. That slows down the usage and efficiency.

SeaTable with beiging based in the EU makes GDPR compliance easier. Also the product while still under active development has a almost complete feature set.

Not possible to share individual views on a free SaaS plan

Generally, a good experience but with a steep learning curve. I hope developers continue to support this tool to make it easier to use and more versatile as a database.

For me, the ability to deploy the software outside of the cloud to remove some of the API limitations on cloud services like this. Personalization is a plus.

The API lacks key features to be able to use as a database for a low code application.

To us, Seatable means that every user becomes a software developer without ever knowing a line of code. He can develop the software solution needed for his problem case himself and then keep improving it until he has assembled the best tool for himself. No developer work, no long discussions and meetings and no voting! Fantastic!

For us, the most important feature was the ability to host the database on-premise, which means we have complete control over our data. We can set the security settings and secure all backups according to our specifications.

The software has not been on the market for very long, but regularly incorporates user requests for new features in monthly updates and thus gets better day by day.

I love SeaTable for democratizing access to relational databases for end-users. It's a great alternative to Airtable and it's going to be great as it matures into a larger product.

Just like Airtable, SeaTable is clumsy when it comes to extending graphical features and data querying.

I had fun using it. Not only does it have all the functionality that I need for my specific use-case, but it also suprised me with the well structured function editor and the in-browser JavaScript editor. Additionally SeaTable has pretty good documentation.

Just setting up a database table was a breeze. I reviewed the software as a documentation management tool and it fits that role perfectly. The possibility to use Python and JavaScript is great and enables endless possibilities.

I don't know if it is just me, but I'd really like it, if you could copy strings from function columns to you clipboard. I concatenated some Columns to generate filenames for copies on project members local machines and copy & paste would be the easiest way to facilitate that.

We looked for a GDPR-compliant alternative to AirTable and were really pleased to find SeaTable. We have seen features added to SeaTable almost weekly and really appreciate the highly active response to feature requests and issues.

There is a limit to how "no-code" or "low-code" SeaTable is. The real power comes from knowing your way around Python, especially as regards automation.

Basically, that's a smart spreadsheet. But that's also a database, a form creator and so many usage that I can think about. It's power versus all tested comparable solution is that on the first sight, it looks like an excel spreadsheet. Therefore, you can easily drag your content and your userbase on it. Then you can have fun with linked formulas between bases, conditional views, content sharing.

It's UI can be improved, especially the landing page that is not optimal.

It makes a lot handy and easier for project management either with your team or your personal one. It's like a combination of Trello and Spreadsheet. So far so good!

I really like the fact that it's so easy to use and most feature sets are really handy and useful. It's just what you need when you need it. Eg. Alternating views, grouping by any column data, and relations to other data. One feature that I like a lot is the integration of custom form to the SeaTable, it's really useful when I need external data to be inserted in the table but also don't want to share the table manually.

SeaTable still lacks some power from spreadsheets, like the formula may be limited, text boxes do not have a not very flexible view when you type long input, etc. Sharing options can be sometimes inconvenient especially in Timeline view and exporting to Excel. But I keep seeing updates and that proves they're working on making it better.

Einfach, überall erreichbar

Einfache Handhabung, Datensatzbasiert, Daten können aus anderer Tabelle einbezogen werden

Berechnung in einer einzigen Zelle (also nicht über jede Zeile). z.B. = 5+3+16 um in einer Zelle auch Einzelwerte zusammensetzen zu können.

In erste Linie hat mir die Cloudfunktionalität gefallen, ausserdem ist die Oberfläche sehr intuitiv und leicht verständlich. Alles in allem eine tolle Lösung!

Grundsätzlich gibt es da nur einen Punkt -> Eine App für div. Endgeräte wäre wünschenswert (zB. iOS)

Ich nutze Seatable als CMS für mobile Applikationen und als Front-end für KMU Applikationen, v.a. Reservationssysteme und Mitarbeiter-Verwaltung.

Eine sehr intuitive Benutzeroberfläche ermöglicht effizientes Arbeiten. Laufende Weiterentwicklungen ermöglichen immer mehr Anwendungsszenarien zu erschliessen. Gut dokumentierte APIs erlauben die Integration in bestehende Lösungen und Prozesse. Youtube Tutorials ermöglichen einen hands-on Einstieg.

Die Software ist noch jung und entsprechend gibt es noch wünschenswerte Funktionalitäten: der Verzicht auf eine explizite ID-Spalte so wie das Zusammenstellen eines webbasierten Dashboards mit mehreren Ansichten stehen dabei zuoberst auf meiner Wunschliste (ähnlich wie Reports für den Druck).

Aus das mit dem Support soweit alles okay

In Anbetracht des noch sehr jungen Unternehmens und der Roadmap bis ende des Jahres macht SeaTable für mich persönlich perspektivisch zu einem wichtigen Daten-Backend-Tool und eine Echte Konkurrenz zu den teureren Platzhirschen. Weiter so.

Sehr guter Funktionsumfang mit guter Usability. In Kombination mit den YouTube Tutorial in 7 Schritten wird der komplette Umfang super erklärt. Auch der Freemium-Umfang ist schon beeindruckend. Super sind die Views die man erstellen kann über Gruppen und Filter.

Einziger Nachteil: Die Premium-Features lassen sich leider. nicht in der Trial-Phase testen. Die Kombination aus Filtern und Datumsfunktion könnte optimiert werden.
