Pros/Cons
Pros
- User friendly interface, fast report creating capabilities, amazing ease of use, all in one tool and so far the best forecasting and budgeting tools I have seen.
- In addition, the customer support is exceptional. I have had wonderful experiences with our rep. He is remarkable in how he explains things and his patience.
- We managed to produce our reporting more quickly, we have improved the quality of our planning and we will now dedicated new developments to increase our productivity.
Cons
- Export into Excel destroys the whole formatting.
- Dataview limitations on number of rows. Lack of time out on infinite sessions.
- Our initial project with BOARD was through a reseller and it was a difficult start for the product.
Pros
- Visually impressive, and easy to use interface. Best suited for power users to drag/drop dimensions and create their own versions of dashboards.
- The overall purpose of this software is super awesome and I think the goals and points if applied right make a lot of sense. This would be so helpful in the business setting if it was easier to use.
- One of the most useful and professional data visualization tools in the market. You can create beautiful and informative charts easily, as long as you have reliable data quality.
Cons
- This error code keeps popping up "Bad Connection: Tableau could not connect to the data source. No such table" when we switch between worksheets.
- It is difficult to navigate and get started on the platform. Requires some training before you can be let loose on the platform and create your own reports.
- The support we pay for is almost worthless. We frequently solve the problem ourselves and it is time consuming to submit everything via their helpdesk with nothing to show for it.
