Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • Great inventory management, easy to add products using purchase orders, syncs with Quickbooks, love the ability to offer credit accounts, great reports.
  • I love the inventory tracking from anywhere, the ease of entering and pricing my inventory, and the setup process and new POS - basically I love EVERYTHING.
  • Lightspeed has outstanding customer service. I love that if I call and there is "waiting line" to be helped, I can put my number in the queue and they will call me back.
  • Cons

  • I have since disputed the charges on my credit card because I feel that is the only way I'm going to recoup my money. My next step is that I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
  • The only negative would be, I live in Newfoundland, we have lots of storms and the power goes out frequently. I do sometimes have to call after outages to sync my ipad with my receipt printer.
  • Our experience with Lightspeed is single handedly the worst experience we have ever had with any vendor, rep, or supplier.

  • Pros

  • They are always ready to help and super friendly. I love that they can remote in and show us what to do.
  • I really like how you can easily generate reports, that's important for my business and I believe this software can do the best job of it.
  • The software is great and the staff who have all been friendly and willing to help when I called for tech support.
  • Cons

  • I quit using this product with some regrets and went to Lightspeed, which I hate but at least I can get it to work. Using AIMsi was an unpleasant and frustrating experience.
  • The fact that I was charged for software and data transfer and received software without data transfer so it is useless. I have been waiting so long it was called AIMsi when I bought it.
  • And for example: having to get out of one frame and into another one for the same customer with a different question about their account is sometimes frustrating.
