  • Pros

  • Great inventory management, easy to add products using purchase orders, syncs with Quickbooks, love the ability to offer credit accounts, great reports.
  • I love the inventory tracking from anywhere, the ease of entering and pricing my inventory, and the setup process and new POS - basically I love EVERYTHING.
  • Lightspeed has outstanding customer service. I love that if I call and there is "waiting line" to be helped, I can put my number in the queue and they will call me back.
  • Cons

  • I have since disputed the charges on my credit card because I feel that is the only way I'm going to recoup my money. My next step is that I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
  • The only negative would be, I live in Newfoundland, we have lots of storms and the power goes out frequently. I do sometimes have to call after outages to sync my ipad with my receipt printer.
  • Our experience with Lightspeed is single handedly the worst experience we have ever had with any vendor, rep, or supplier.

  • They trust their information is secure. They are also impressed with the NPC ability to tap to pay with our phones.
  • Like I've said from the beginning everything has been great and if I did have any questions customer service was more than happy to help me out.
  • What I like best about Square is the flexibility, convenience and overall use of the Square POS. This is absolutely the best user friendly software for retail.
  • Cons

  • I HATED the fact that the customer service was so terrible. There is no phone support, only email support and a lot of the time the responses are copy pasted with generic answers.
  • There have been times where the customer was charged twice and times where the customer was never charged at all.
  • Inventory management and reporting is lacking. Also, occasional account freezing due to suspected fraudulent activity.
