Pros/Cons
Pros
- I like their free plan its a godsend for indie developers like myself who have a limited budget. Their user activity activity information and presentation is top notch.
- I also appreciate the archive that we can save with Amplitude, as all information, analyzes and reports can be saved in an organized manner and we can easily refer to them when needed.
- Offers a very generous free tier. I liked the Behavioural Cohorts as it offer key insights that help you understand exactly which are your best users and what makes them stick around.
Cons
- Like all data analytics tools, you can go horribly wrong if. You have the wrong events instrumented.
- The program is a little confusing to start using.
- When I started using Amplitude a couple of years ago it was simpler to organize the data how I wanted but now a days I frequently find myself lost after coming back to check app every couple of weeks.
Pros
- I have truly enjoyed working with Pendo, not just the Platform, but the company. Excellent, friendly, approachable communications.
- I love the flexibility of the product combined with the customer support and community that help inspire and create the in-app help I'm working on for my company.
- Visitor dashboards, robust functionality, user segments, and resource center are just a few of the things we love about Pendo. Additionally, their team is AWESOME and really easy to work with.
Cons
- If your application is built in odd ways (as ours is), it can be hard to get guides to deploy correctly. Pendo also has a pooled CS model, which can be frustrating.
- Setting up guides to work across multiple pages with distinct URLs is also quite painful, and could use something of an overhaul/UX redesign.
- Setup for an Angular application was a little difficult.
