  • Pros

  • It's super flexible, easy to use, has amazing accessibility and I would definitely recommend it.
  • The Canvas guides, videos, Community and help desk are really fabulous. Being able to access the answer to development questions 24/7 is a game changer for motivated learners.
  • I love that I can see my employees progress on assignments and test, as well as they can see their progress. It is easy to use for both myself and employees.
  • Cons

  • I hate that there is not an autosave feature, specially when building quizzes. More than once, I accidentally save the quiz without saving the individual question and loose a ton of work.
  • The color theme of even and odd Courses seems weird. The odd courses are shown in a faded color which gives the illusion of inactive course.
  • The calendar function is especially bad. There are also times where it is very frustrating to navigate around the People section.

  • We are lucky to have a free premium account bought by the state of Utah. This is a very easy to use product for teachers, and one that students love.
  • We had more teachers use this service than any other offered because they said it was very user friendly and it gave them great immediate feedback on student progress.
  • I just started using Nearpod and was thrilled at how easy it was for me to engage all participants in the activity and be aware of those who were not involved in the tasks presented.
  • Cons

  • The sad part is when we tried to add one of the games we develop(yes we are an educational games company) we were unable.
  • My students were still struggling with long division, and I just needed another way for them to visualize the process. Nearpod lessons show visuals and then stop and ask the students questions.
  • I've been told this update will come to the program, but until then, that can be frustrating.
