The ability to check out files/folders and work off line is great for me when I need to work away from an internet connection.

Correct implementation with over 100 users becomes difficult.

Better management of our data. Team is more productive and efficient.

The support team is what has enhanced my overall experience.

Even then, the updates almost never go straight forward. One personal thing I hate is that 12d Synergy always opens on the same screen/location and it doesn't set to the screen I close it on.

Lack of detailed analytical data available on users, projects accessed etc.

Combined with scaling our team up geographically, the ease that accompanied the installation of the FRS to assist our remote users is refreshing.

Integrated workflows and tasks allow our project managers to keep track of job progress.

Many bugs with V3 crashes due to SQL being full (company IT associated) but still an issue. Lost productivity due to the crashes.

Having to download another program just to force it to open where I want it to is frustrating.

Supplied training documents and videos help with new staff members.

It is very smart with synchronising data and minimises how much data you need to transfer.

I have been using 12d Synergy with very large data sets and its speed and stability is excellent. The user interface makes it very clear who has what checked out.

The software is extremely costly and makes it difficult to supply all our staff.

Generally good - we are satisfied with the product. Customer service is great too.

Also, I have yet to meet any one that truly uses RSMeans as it is essentially a dead tool.

Great tool for quick and easy parametric cost data. Recommend another more detailed software for more in-depth estimates.

There are three tiers designed to equip users with the appropriate tools for executing a wide variety of different construction projects including capital planning, conceptual estimates, unit and assembly estimates, cost validation, facilities maintenance and repair.


Within the estimating application, RSMeans Data Online offers quick cost lookup, Excel export and reference by CSI’s MasterFormat. Costs are further grouped by project type, allowing users to select the dataset that best fits their needs.
