Lighter option to AutoCAD complete edition, yet uselful enough
It's been a satisfactory experience from the first time. I was used to work with the complete autocad edition but the price is way more elevated that the LT version and I really haven't had any issue with this so far.
PROSIt has all the must have features that AutoCAD has for 2D planning, drawing, reading and development. Works great for my projects and it is perfect that it includes
CONSIt has no 3D modeling of any kind, which is not always necessary, but in some cases you might need it.

AutoCAD LT is an excellent 2D &3D CAD design tools
AutoCAD LT is an excellent tool for streamlining the design process and helping to provide clarity, accuracy, and precision in designs. It can provide 2D and 3D representations of formats and allows users to create and modify designs in a fraction of the time it would take manually. AutoCAD LT has yielded various benefits, including time and cost savings, increased accuracy, reliance on a shared and documented design process, improved collaboration, improved design process control, and better customer satisfaction.
PROSThe most impactful features of AutoCAD LT are 3D modeling, design visualization tools, a customizable interface, 2D drafting tools, and cloud connectivity. These features work together to make the software easy to use and quick to master. AutoCAD LT also offers a wide range of customization and customization options, making it an excellent choice for users who need to customize their experience to fit their needs. As for integration with existing business processes, AutoCAD LT is designed to be straightforward to use. With the wide range of APIs, the solution has to offer and the ability to integrate with other third-party applications.
CONSA few features could be improved in Auto CAD LT, such as the ability to work with 3D models and better interfacing with other popular CAD applications like Solidworks or Fusion. Regarding difficult-to-use aspects, it can be challenging to properly orient the model when using 3D viewports. Also, it can be challenging to set up the UCS with objects located in different planes, as the setup of the UCS is not visually intuitive. Lastly, integration with existing business processes can be challenging, as the LT version does not always have the feature set necessary for more sophisticated workloads.

The Best Outdated Option
It's probably the best tool for drafting and many engineers right now who have a big budget. But its days are short lived, probably won't last much longer as any basic standard. AutoCad needs to completely reshape itself for the modern era and provide more intuitive controls and tools.
PROSStandard across engineering, drafting, design, and many other technical and artistic digital studios. Minimalist approach at first take but the amount of options and versatility offered is quickly overwhelming/exciting. AutoCad LT offers a vast collection of tools for basic and advanced drawing. Our engineering firm has always used AutoCad and makes good with full 11x17 standard sized drawings for customers and internal designs. We like the relatively simple arrangement of seemingly endless tools, straight forward learning curve for starting out drafting basic stuff, and default options for professional presentations.
CONSExtremely expensive for overly complicated software lacking any real updates - see changes from Photoshop CS2 - CS6 and any newer software. AutoCad feels awkward, stupid, and completely outdated. It seems to be falling behind because the majority of users are older and don't want changes. However AutoCad cannot last with this and becomes frustrating to use for more extensive drafting. There are no options for speeding up and simplifying multiple pages for one larger project. AutoCad makes everything difficult and puts extra steps into some tools. There are some tools that are way more complicated than they should be. I don't think we will use AutoCad long term. It's way too expensive, too complicated, isn't evolving into an easier to use and better setup engineering tool, and obviously isn't getting any better with age.

I use this program all of the time!!!! Highly recommend.
As an environmental engineer, I work with and create many engineering drawings/figures for municipal client construction and remedial projects and AutoCAD is the most universally used program. It is very simple to use from creating complex multi-layered drawings to simple figures with the ability to drop in pictures (jpegs, gif, etc.) to enhance the project deliverables. I also like the ability to print to a pdf file, which makes it convenient to email deliverables without having to attach all of the different referenced files.
CONSI don’t have any. It is a less complex program as it doesn’t have the 3D functionality. I would recommend using the AutoCAD LT version as it can be smoother/quicker to operate than the AutoCAD or AutoCAD Architectural versions.

AutoCAD LT Review
Overall, AutoCAD LT is a good software for Drafting, Layout generation and 2D modelling.
PROS1. 2D Modelling and providing dimensions to a drawing is very easy in AutoCAD LT. 2. Importing and exporting files to/from AutoCAD LT is also very easy. 3. Whether it is a simple design or a more complex design, AutoCAD LT allows its users to scale model and remodel as many times as required by the users. 4. The file recovery feature is also excellent.
CONS1. There is no option for 3D modelling. Users can only view open and view 3D models created in the full version of AutoCAD. 2. It consumes more processing power, memory and video card memory. 3. The mechanical tool-sets and architectural tool-sets are missing.

AutoCAD LT: Among the Best Draughting Softwares
Since the beginning, the experience has been positive. I was used to working with AutoCAD, but it's much more expensive than the LT version, and thus far I haven't had any problems.
PROSThe library function for all sections, which makes it simpler to discover information within the application itself, is to me AutoCAD LT's extra strong point.Another strength is the quick answers and accurate development of projects and drawings.
CONSSimpler introduction techniques would be ideal because it's crucial that users comprehend it and don't just interact with the software as a program operator.
Reasons for switching to AutoCAD LT
AllyCAD was sold to KnowledgeBase, which did not have a Student Version at the time.

For me ... The best Soft !
AutoCAD develops an arsenal of features to perform 2D sketches, drawings and annotations. To do this, it proposes a revision cloud that summarizes all the new modifications around a drawing. Functions related to scoring, benchmarks and tables are also provided. Also known for its 3D modeling capabilities, AutoCAD is powerful in 3D modeling and photorealistic rendering of solids, surfaces and many meshes. This solution also offers a wide range of 3D visualization and navigation tools to present designs. One of AutoCAD's strengths is its connection to Autodesk 360. This connectivity allows you to synchronize your work online so as not to lose it, but also to simplify a possible change of machine or to share your work for example.
CONSThe subscription cost is quite expensive, but it is the price to pay to use the best software on the market

Great for Interior Designers, Architects, Engineers and builders
As an interior designer, drawing space planning layout through autocad saves a lot of time compare to drawing it by hand or even with other similar softwares. Not only space planning drawings but up to elevations and construction drawings.
PROSI like autocad’s accuracy. There are a lot of copy cat softwares trying to duplicate CAD but nothing can beat Autocad software for Architects, Engineers and designers especially for construction drawings.
CONSI find it too expensive. Good thing they are coming up with yearly subscriptions which is very helpful for small business owners or even freelance designers like me.

AutoCAD LT Review
AutoCAD LT has transformed our drafting department. It provides for a nice transition for our clients to see exactly what they are purchasing to purchasing and manufacturing the product.
PROSAutoCAD LT is a user friendly, all encompassing design software. The ease of use for our draftsmen is great. The design tools for this software are plentiful.
CONSThere is nothing that I like least about this software except that their customer service could be more helpful especially when it comes to billing.

Useful 2-Dimensional Drawing Software for Professionals
AutoCAD LT is a pretty powerful 2D drawing software (3D is available with the regular AutoCAD). If you're doing layouts and parts designs, this software can handle that with quite a bit of functionality. It's also very compatible - older files can be opened with newer software, and newer software can save files into older formats for others who are not up-to-date. It's also customizable for the user interface - if you liked the old layout of commands, you can change it. If you like to type your command, you can do that, or if you're better with the mouse and the ribbon, those are also options.
CONSOne of AutoCAD LT's great benefits (Backwards compatibility) could also be holding it back - in order to be compatible it can't quite adapt as quick or as fully as you might expect. With a relatively new ribbon layout along with mouse shortcuts, these concerns are partially eliminated, but it's not quite as quick and clean as other, newer Autodesk software (for example, Inventor). Starting up without any experience is a challenge, but this is true for most 2D or 3D design software.
