It is a game-changer for massing studies. Forma replaces tedious manual calculations with rapid, data-backed design insights, making it an essential tool for forward-thinking design teams.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Instant AI analyses for microclimates, wind, noise, and solar potential. Seamless Revit integration allows smooth transitions from concept to detailed modeling. Cloud-based platform runs smoothly right inside a web browser.

Premium cost structure can be restrictive for boutique architecture firms. BIM software ecosystem reliance means it functions best if you already use Autodesk.

Has been helpful for us finding new projects and winning projects as a subcontractor and a Gengeral contractor.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Easy to use and navigate. I like the subcontractor database, but it could help with the calling of each individual subcontractor. The email tends to get ignored.

#### Cons

No assistance reaching out to subcontractors. Like I said before they do not always care to look at the email sent out. Plus the cost seams to just keep getting more and more expensive for the platform in total.

#### Reasons for choosing Autodesk Forma

Only using the ITB part of autodesk nothing else. I still use the others.

Autodesk Forma provides a solid foundation for cross-functional communication and project reporting, making team alignment straightforward. While handling large volumes of data still requires extra manual organization and navigation can feel cumbersome at times, it remains an effective and dependable tool for managing complex workflows.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It significantly improves cross-functional communication and team collaboration by centralizing project tracking and reporting into a single reliable workflow.

#### Cons

Handling large volumes of project data requires too much manual organization, and occasional system lag paired with slow customer support response times can slow down turnaround.

### Faster, More Informed Early\-Stage Design and Planning

- Overall rating: 5/5
- Reviewer: Verified Reviewer
- Verified reviewer: Yes

Overall, my experience has been positive. Forma is particularly useful during the early planning and conceptual design stages because it helps you get to useful information quickly and makes it easier to evaluate different options. It doesn’t replace every tool needed later in the design process, but it does a good job of making the front end of that process faster and more informed.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Autodesk Forma makes early-stage design and planning much faster and more visual. I like being able to quickly explore different concepts, understand site constraints, and compare options without having to build everything out in detail first. The interface is fairly intuitive, especially if you’re already familiar with Autodesk products.

#### Cons

There is still a bit of a learning curve when you first start using it, and some of the more advanced workflows are not always obvious\. I’d also like to see deeper functionality and smoother integration between Forma and some of the other Autodesk tools so there is less duplication as a project progresses\.

When working correctly it can be a nice program, however the second that something deviates from the norm you are lost and will not be helped by Autodesk in anyform. This is absolutely unacceptable given how expensive it is.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

When working correctly it can be a powerfull asset. How you can work with several people in the same file is great.

#### Cons

The customer service was absolutely subpar. It was such an bad experience I feel betrayed by them. When it is working correctly it is a nice program, however. When you have a question you get coupled to people with little to now knowledge about the program. It looks like the work is outsourced to a random place that has no knowledge about the program or any desire to know about the program. When they are not able to answer with a Yes/No answers they want to refer back to you via Email, while during the chat it is already clear that they DO NOT have the information they need & are in the same time not able to communicate where the information they are looking for can be found. To top it all of you will get an (lousy) email, but it refers you to a completely different(?) cloud solution off Autodesk. That what I told the customer service happened. I am deeply dissapointed and if this will not be resolved quickly will find alternative cloud solutions. This is not worth €130,- per month per person!!!!

#### Reasons for choosing Autodesk Forma

Because the ACC seemed to be better Integrable. However Trimble customer service has been way better when contacting them for different products.

I would prefer using ACC over Procore if the functionality is comparable. As of now there is a gap from what you see and how much of it usable.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

User interface, ease of use, tad bit expensive but better than procore. Lacks some functionality overall to cater the audience they want to switch.

#### Cons

Lacking functionality like able to add contractors, get the platform on ipad, make checklists, make company specific forms, mostly not in par with Procore yet

#### Reasons for switching to Autodesk Forma

User friendly platform and its feature to sync with documents storage/ BIM 360 previously
