Program was helpful to develop contract documents. Although we experienced some issues (merging specs, item numbering) they were quickly resolved by the Builterra support team.

Multi platform capibilities. I like when I can use any available device to fill in my info.

This was not so much the software not working properly, rather it was an overload of information, and the drop down boxes not always containing the exact items.

Difficult to create additional and / or customized reports.

It does the trick and great value for the money.

Errors in software can cause in progress reports to be lost.

Ease of use and intergrates well with contract payment documents.

I think it's good overall. The interface is so simple that it's easy to handle.

It’s slow, the pictures take forever to load to the point I stopped using it.

When inputting historical documents it was difficult to remember what boxes to check, and how to input the proper data.

PQR financial statement linked to diaries is a nice feature. It's nice to generate a mid month payment for budget purposes.

Customer service is pretty spot on as there were a few bugs at the beginning that were resolved fairly quickly, within a day or 2.

It’s a great platform that can shape a system and culture for organizations that don’t have one.

The product was easy to use, helps make projects organized and easy to access reports from other projects. It was convenient to be able to complete reports on site with the mobile app.

I liked this software because it is very user friendly software.

In my experience it has helped me a lot for real time cost estimation and construction progress monitoring. The multiplatform option makes it versatile for the management of a construction project.

Usage of the app (on android) resulted in many errors and bugs which, though were resolved, resulted in time and data loss.

Should be able to complete the daily and EWO report without using the web app. Should be able to complete a report within the mobile app alone.

I like the mobile access and the ability for the field to provide live updates.

The ablitlity to complete reports onsite is amazing and to add photos right in the app with captions is great.

Difficult to integrate, mainly due to user experience.

I've enjoy using the software overall. Hopefully they improve the UI at some point.

It's been a learning experience, as it is with all new endeavors. However I feel with a little more time this will  be a very useful tool.

Its a great tool for a database. I have had my permissions extended so the functionality for me is better.

In the mobile app review mode, text overlaps making it difficult to find the item your are trying to review.

Builterra is a great platform for civil engineering projects.

Customer support is great. They always fix issues really fast.

This translated into additional costs that had not been budgeted for and additional time that I did not have to spare. At no point did the time and effort savings of the software materialize.

The many layers of data entry leaves room for data to be entered incorrectly into the wrong location which renders the data meaningless.

Training course content is not up to date and hard to follow when what you see in your application is different than what the course content teaches.

The idea is a good one and the appearance from an outside perspective is good. The ability to geolocate and work collaboratively is great.

Its nice but interface can provide more information, such as we have a very big contract.

The most frustrating part of using Builterra is experiencing it fall short of it's clear potential.

As we move forward, the ability to query past tender pricing for estimating purposes is invaluable to me as a Project Manager.

I't fairly easy to learn and integrate. It's visual and it's fairly robust.

I found a program at a price that was better than the others. It seems much more do-able for me.

What I like about OST is it’s easy to use you can get the hang of the Badi oh very quickly and it helps you count items onscreen from a pdf plan or TIFF file. Measures distances, counts and areas.

Product is a bit on the pricey side - but is definitely very effective and I would recommend to anyone doing digital take offs.

Very easy to use and like being able to down load the contact information. Also its nice to be able to see every important information about the company.

I been using it for ten years OST Takeoff and Quick bid it seems to work fine but i just  require substantial time to synchronize both products.

Excellent tool for accurate compilation of quantities from pdf's. I highly recommend this to high volume estimators such as myself.

The software has no ability to copy and paste into a document. No real other complaints.

The software is at least a decade out of date when compared to any other industry standard take-off software. Its clunky, non-intuitive, terrible UI and converts any drawings to.

The software is easy to use and learn and offers almost all the functions I need to complete a takeoff. The time and money saved by using this program can be clearly seen and makes my job fun.

Easy to do simple measurements and counts. The various levels and labels are nice, also being able to change colors makes it easy to differentiate between items.

Everything from the time of sales, to the implantation of the software, to the daily use and continuing customer support. Very friendly staff and extremely knowledgeable.

I liked the ability to organize and derive quantities in different ways. One line item can yield several quantities in different units of measurement.

In QuickBid they easily become buried in the bid and get missed. Adding drawing numbers and names function in OnScreen Takeoff does not work well.

I loved it for being fast but to many  options can slow me down a bit.

Inability to interact with drawings and a terrible UI.

If you also pay for QuickBids, it integrates well with that. The tech help service is outstanding.

The flexability of being able to copy pages and do different things that helps me be able to look at different pricing.

My take-offs are clean and easy to understand. My production has more than doubled and the results are better.

But their policy was not to refund although they made a promise that was false showing they value money over principles. Very misleading and I am sickened by the way they do business.

Inability to label linear conditions. Inability to increase the size of the font on condition labels.

The only thing I get frustrated with is the lag with some of the functions.

I have tried other Takeoff software, but this is the best for me. I like this product because it is user friendly and has several built in tools that others may not have.

OST is a very easy to use tool to do take offs with and what we like most about it is. Fast Counts for areas, Linear feet, And counts.

There are a lot of functions in this program and it can be extremely confusing if you do not take the time to learn it properly.

I enjoy the quick and professional technical support. They are always responsive, pleasant and helpful.

Overall, great experience. Saves a lot of time when preparing for estimates/bids.
