Pros/Cons
Pros
- Fastest is a wonderful program. If you are looking to bid and win more jobs this is the product to buy.
- The cost was also much more competitive than several other options, which is a nice benefit.
- The ease of use is fantastic. Ability to import new drawings and revised drawings is great.
Cons
- The inability to enlarge revised plans when importing. Sometimes it is hard to tell which plan you have.
- There is a lack of shortcut keys. All steps need to be repeatedly clicked which can be arduous when performing common tasks.
- And some times I get exceptions on certain pipes with errors about insulation specs or hangers and I can't quite figure out how to correct that.
Pros
- Hyphen is by far the best software product on the market for home building/construction for scheduling. The scheduling aspect of the software is awesome.
- The benefits we have realized are that we have access to start documents and purchase orders for a good number of our Builders in one centralized location, for a fee.
- This also gives me a way to better communicate with the scheduling team so they can see the exact information that the super was told about the PO or EPO in question.
Cons
- When customers merge, I end up with dead accounts that will not go away. It can be cumbersome to manage users as they change accounts and/or quit using the system.
- Going into each one is time consuming. The 24 hour delay to enter invoice info is pointless.
- No accountability with the company that sends work orders. Expensive for the sub-contractor.
