Has Improved Our Timekeeping Practices

Overall experience has been very positive. There is a lot of opportunity for additional integration and additional functionality (for example an overall resource planning tool).

Pros

Good overall integration with Sage 300 CRE. Has enabled much better timekeeping by the field and eliminated duplicative time entry.

Cons

Somewhat difficult to setup - like any other software. However, this was still on the easier side of the spectrum.

Reasons for choosing hh2 Remote Payroll

SSO has different functionality, but it's worth mentioning because we ultimately decided not to use it because of the difficulty of implementation - so it can serve as a benchmark for Sage construction software users. From an implementation standpoint hh2 Remote Payroll was much smooth and much easier to get off the ground and running.

Fairly easy to use and integrates with Sage 300 CRE

hh2 Remote Payroll integrates fairly seamlessly with Sage 300 CRE. We haven't run into issues with the integration. Even our technically illiterate employees have been able to learn to use the mobile app. Password resets are easy. Using a timesheet entry app like this has eliminated duplicate entry from this process and saves time for our payroll clerk. There is functionality that allows for different approval processes for different groups. We can also require more information on some groups, such as Davis-Bacon jobs that require certified classifications, without having it affect other groups. Overall, it has made a huge difference for our company.

Pros

The integration with Sage is huge for us. We switched from Excel timesheets to hh2 Remote Payroll and it is saving us duplicate entry and eliminating opportunities for errors. Once people understand it, it is fairly easy to use. As a construction company with craft staff, we have many users that are not technically savvy, but they have been able to learn how to use the hh2 app to submit their time each week. It is also very helpful that admins can go in and set a new password for users. My employees regularly forget their password and then can't get signed in when they get a new phone. They may not get into their email often so they would struggle with a password reset link that is sent to them (which the software can also do). It has been helpful that we can create different payroll groups that require different approval processes or different levels of detail, such as needing certified payroll information on some jobs and not others.

Cons

There is more downtime than I would like and the app gets glitchy quite a bit. We regularly have issues where a user needs to force a full sync in order to get the application working again.

Works Great when it wants to!

Pros

At first glance, clocking in and out seems very simple. The buttons are big and easy to read. The app is easy to navigate between categories.

Cons

Sometimes, your clock in/out time doesn’t get recorded correctly causing it to have to be changed manually. The camera function didn’t work well on our iPad and wouldn’t let anyone punch in/out but customer service was awesome at troubleshooting the problem for us.

HH2 is Great

HH2 is great for construction management companies. We have several employes working out the office who are able to submit timecards in a timely manner.

Pros

HH2 is easy to use and set up. Their customer support is great.
