  • Pros

  • This makes great mood boards, beautiful proposals and invoices, is super easy to use and fairly seamless to integrate with Quickbooks.
  • The features are so specifically tailored to designers and how a design firm functions - it's wonderful. I love the ability to customize shared features with clients and the rest of my team too.
  • I have been so thrilled with the level of leads, customer service (immediate response times), ease of use. I recommend it to all of the designers in my groups.
  • Cons

  • Other than if you have a problem that needs to escalate past your account rep you’ll have to write a bad review before they actually reach out to you.
  • When matched with a potential client...the online form asks for full name but most often potential clients only enter their first name which makes for awkward or unprofessional first contact.
  • The Houzz pro software design program is still buggy and missing key items such as stairs and a fireplace. Bugs need to be fixed as I have lost floor plans and needed to regain trust in the program.

  • Planswift is like an open-source, do-it-yourself platform. It is awesome in it's capability to write what you need and even design the input screens to look very clean and professional.
  • Anyway I can recommend this software for new users who are looking to have there estimation purpose. I am happy overall quality of the software.
  • When looking into takeoff software this is the clear winner. It integrates well with other programs such as BuilderTrend and it is very easy to use.
  • Cons

  • Terrible customer service. I usually call and have to leave a message and someone might get back to me in 24-48 hours.
  • The other downside for me was that I had to have my computer rebuilt, and the PlanSwift files were stored in a place on my computer that is not routinely copied when an IT tech rebuilds the computer.
  • If you get a live person on their end it's usually "I'll get a technician to call you back. Then I guess you're just supposed to sit at your computer and wait, usually hours or into the next day.
