Pros/Cons
Pros
- Planswift is like an open-source, do-it-yourself platform. It is awesome in it's capability to write what you need and even design the input screens to look very clean and professional.
- Anyway I can recommend this software for new users who are looking to have there estimation purpose. I am happy overall quality of the software.
- When looking into takeoff software this is the clear winner. It integrates well with other programs such as BuilderTrend and it is very easy to use.
Cons
- Terrible customer service. I usually call and have to leave a message and someone might get back to me in 24-48 hours.
- The other downside for me was that I had to have my computer rebuilt, and the PlanSwift files were stored in a place on my computer that is not routinely copied when an IT tech rebuilds the computer.
- If you get a live person on their end it's usually "I'll get a technician to call you back. Then I guess you're just supposed to sit at your computer and wait, usually hours or into the next day.
Pros
- Secondly, the reports and bid package this software creates is beyond anything you can do on your own. Its the wow factor to the already amazing product.
- The help videos attached to every aspect of the program are so helpful in training users and if that isn’t enough the Turbobid team is spot on with customer service to further help you succeed.
- In general, this program provides a great solution for estimating the budget. It is easy to use and its customer service is really good.
Cons
- I get lost on how the pricing appears, or I don't know what price to send to the customer.
- Inability to adjust take off quantity prior to purchase.
- I dislike the way navigation through assemblies works. I would rather be able to type in a search bar when I need to add an assembly, especially one not used often.
