### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.3/5
- Customer support: 4.1/5
- Value for money: 4.3/5
- Functionality: 4.4/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 12,585 reviews (61%)

- 3 stars: 1,192 reviews (6%)
- 2 stars: 197 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 159 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- QuickBooks Enterprise is a powerful accounting solution for businesses that need advanced financial management, inventory tracking, and detailed reporting. Despite some complexity and occasional technical issues, it remains a reliable platform with strong invoicing and accounting tools that can save time and improve organization.
- The system is powerful and capable of handling complex business needs, especially when it comes to reporting, inventory management, and financial tracking. Once you understand how everything works, it becomes a very dependable tool for managing day-to-day operations.
- Strong inventory management, easy invoicing and sales orders, detailed financial reporting with 200+ templates, multi-user access, and reliable payroll and tax tools built for growing businesses.

### Most mentioned cons

- I’ve had several issues in the past with payouts being sent twice (to the same person), transactions being classified the wrong way and not being calculated into 1099 income (ultimately missing income on contractor 1099s), and their invoicing process being counted as income and having to consolidate when payments come in through out actual bank account.
- High price point – The subscription cost is significantly higher than other QuickBooks versions, and the price increases with additional users, which can be challenging for budget‑conscious businesses.
- The customer service for the line of credit doesn't have a chat; they don't answer the phone calls, and it's been very difficult to reach them now that we have this service.

I like that everything is organized in one place, and the tools are pretty straightforward once you get familiar with them. It’s been reliable, saves a lot of time, and makes keeping up with business finances feel much less stressful. Overall, it’s a solid solution for businesses that need more advanced accounting features without making things overly complicated. Definitely worth considering!

#### Cons

One small downside with QuickBooks Enterprise is that it can feel a little overwhelming when you’re first getting started. There are a lot of features and settings, so it may take some time to learn where everything is and get comfortable with the workflow. The interface can also feel a bit busy at times. Once you get used to it, though, it becomes much easier to navigate.

Overall, our experience with QuickBooks Enterprise has been very positive. It has served as a dependable financial management solution that supports our day-to-day accounting operations with minimal downtime. From an IT administration perspective, deployment, maintenance, backups, and multi-user management have been straightforward. Combined with dependable technical support and regular product updates, QuickBooks Enterprise continues to be a solid solution for organizations that require robust accounting functionality while maintaining control of their on-premises environment.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

QuickBooks Enterprise has been a reliable accounting platform for our organization, providing robust financial management, inventory tracking, reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll capabilities. It performs well in a multi-user manufacturing environment and integrates effectively with many third-party business applications. The reporting tools are comprehensive, and the software offers the flexibility needed to support growing business operations.

#### Cons

While QuickBooks Enterprise is feature-rich, some areas could benefit from modernization. The user interface feels dated compared to newer cloud-based ERP platforms, and certain administrative tasks still require manual processes. Native integrations with external business systems could be more seamless, and larger datasets can occasionally impact performance if the environment is not properly maintained.

#### Reasons for choosing QuickBooks Enterprise

QuickBooks Enterprise offered the functionality we needed with lower cost and simpler deployment.

"QuickBooks Enterprise is powerful for large businesses—strong inventory, advanced reporting, and multi-user capabilities. However, it is costly, resource-heavy, and not intuitive. Good for scaling if you can afford the cost and training time, but less agile than modern alternatives."

#### Ratings breakdown

I particularly appreciated the comprehensive financial management tools in QuickBooks Enterprise. Its robust reporting capabilities made it easy to generate detailed financial statements and track company performance. The software also offered excellent scalability, supporting multiple users and accommodating growing business needs. Additionally, its integration with other applications streamlined workflows and reduced manual data entry.

#### Cons

• High cost: Expensive licensing, ongoing support fees, and mandatory annual upgrades. • Steep learning curve: Clunky interface, complex navigation, overwhelming for new users. • System heaviness: Slow performance with large datasets; occasional crashes or lag. • Limited cloud/flexibility: Less mobile-friendly; limited customization vs. competitors. • Poor customer support: Slow response times, inconsistent help, hard-to-reach experts.

Overall, my experience has been very positive. Once you get used to the system, it becomes a powerful tool for managing accounting, transactions, payroll, and invoicing all in one place. It offers good value for money if you actually use the advanced features it provides. Email communication for invoices and reports works well, and transaction management is reliable and accurate. It’s not the simplest software out there, but it’s dependable and built for businesses that need more than basic accounting. I’d recommend it to mid-sized or growing businesses that need detailed reporting and strong inventory management, but smaller teams might find it more than they need.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

What I liked most about QuickBooks Enterprise is how robust it is. It handles large amounts of data and transactions without slowing down, which is a big deal for a growing business. The reporting tools are excellent — you can really drill down into the numbers and customize reports to fit your needs. Inventory management is also a strong point, especially if you’re managing multiple warehouses or a large product list. Invoicing and invoice management are straightforward, and I like that you can track payments and outstanding balances easily. Overall, it gives you a lot of control over your financials.

#### Cons

The biggest downside is the price. It’s definitely an investment, especially for smaller businesses. There’s also a learning curve — it’s not the most beginner-friendly system, and it can feel overwhelming at first. Some features feel a bit outdated in terms of interface design. Customer support is decent, but sometimes wait times can be longer than expected.

QuickBooks Enterprise delivers robust performance and reliable organization for financial records. While its comprehensive suite is slightly geared toward larger businesses, its core features—such as customizable invoices, transaction management, and automated expense tracking—provide a solid foundation for maintaining accurate financial accounts.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The overall feature set and reporting depth are exceptionally strong. Being able to manage complex billing, track invoice statuses, and generate clear financial summaries makes keeping financial records organized very straightforward. The interface is familiar and intuitive, allowing for fast navigation when managing multi-client invoicing and recurring transaction workflows.

#### Cons

It is heavily built for larger organizations or product-focused companies, meaning many advanced tools (like multi-location inventory tracking or warehouse management) are unnecessary for independent practice. Additionally, subscription costs can feel high if you only utilize a small subset of its full capabilities.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

QuickBooks Enterprise has been a solid solution for managing accounting, invoicing, and business operations in one place. It offers powerful features for growing businesses, especially those that need advanced inventory tracking, detailed reporting, and multi-user access. While it has a learning curve at first, once everything is set up properly it becomes a very efficient system for daily operations. One of the biggest advantages of QuickBooks Enterprise is its robust invoicing and invoice management tools. Creating invoices is fast and customizable, and tracking payments is very straightforward. The reporting features are also excellent and provide valuable insights for financial management. The software handles large amounts of data smoothly compared to simpler accounting platforms. Customer support has generally been helpful when dealing with setup or technical questions, and there are many online resources and tutorials available. The mobile access is convenient for checking important information remotely, although some advanced features work better on desktop. In terms of value for money, it can be worth the investment for medium-sized or expanding businesses that need more advanced accounting capabilities than basic bookkeeping software offers.

#### Cons

The software can feel overwhelming for new users because of the large number of features and settings. There is definitely a learning curve in the beginning. Occasionally there are bugs or performance slowdowns, especially after updates or when working with large company files. The mobile version is useful for basic tasks but does not provide the full desktop experience.

I have been using this platform for many years, and regardless of who I am doing bookkeeping for, I consistently recommend QuickBooks over its competitors. The system is incredibly simple to use while still offering all the functionality needed for accurate and efficient bookkeeping. Its reliability and ease of navigation make it a dependable choice for businesses of all sizes.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

QuickBooks provides an efficient way for us to store records, pay bills, enter invoices, and send bulk emails to vendors when needed. The platform is very user-friendly, with no pop-ups or distracting ads. Its annual fee is minimal compared to other bookkeeping platforms, making it a great fit for our budget. Additionally, whenever issues arise, the QuickBooks support team offers helpful answers and resources directly on their website.

#### Cons

I do not like the constant push to move to QuickBooks Online. I prefer the desktop version because it is simple and consistent, with each update making minimal changes. The online version relies heavily on internet connectivity and computer performance, which can introduce unnecessary complications and occasional disruptions.

Be extremely careful with their trials. The person on their customer support line told me incorrect information which basically wasted my entire trial. I signed up for the quickbooks live trial did not realize that there would be no availability for appointments. At the advice of their support team, I signed up for an appointment in the future, but when it came time for the appointment, they canceled on me because my trial was over. Ridicules to offer a trial that does not even provide access to the service that is being trial. Upon talking with their support later, they said they are unable to reinstate my trial. In general support calls with Quickbooks are frustrating, as they will keep transferring me to different departments and it takes hours to solve a simple problem.

Their support and rigidity of their systems. Extremely inflexible and inefficient even when it makes Zero sense to be.

Great. As a first-time user, I find that the account features allow for accurate snapshots of profit and loss reporting. I can create and track invoices for payment as well as reconcile bank accounts accordingly for end of year reporting.
