### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.3/5
- Customer support: 4.1/5
- Value for money: 4.3/5
- Functionality: 4.4/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 12,578 reviews (61%)

- 3 stars: 1,192 reviews (6%)
- 2 stars: 197 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 159 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- QuickBooks Enterprise is a powerful accounting solution for businesses that need advanced financial management, inventory tracking, and detailed reporting. Despite some complexity and occasional technical issues, it remains a reliable platform with strong invoicing and accounting tools that can save time and improve organization.
- The system is powerful and capable of handling complex business needs, especially when it comes to reporting, inventory management, and financial tracking. Once you understand how everything works, it becomes a very dependable tool for managing day-to-day operations.
- Strong inventory management, easy invoicing and sales orders, detailed financial reporting with 200+ templates, multi-user access, and reliable payroll and tax tools built for growing businesses.

### Most mentioned cons

- I’ve had several issues in the past with payouts being sent twice (to the same person), transactions being classified the wrong way and not being calculated into 1099 income (ultimately missing income on contractor 1099s), and their invoicing process being counted as income and having to consolidate when payments come in through out actual bank account.
- High price point – The subscription cost is significantly higher than other QuickBooks versions, and the price increases with additional users, which can be challenging for budget‑conscious businesses.
- The customer service for the line of credit doesn't have a chat; they don't answer the phone calls, and it's been very difficult to reach them now that we have this service.

Overall, our experience with QuickBooks Enterprise has been very positive. It has served as a dependable financial management solution that supports our day-to-day accounting operations with minimal downtime. From an IT administration perspective, deployment, maintenance, backups, and multi-user management have been straightforward. Combined with dependable technical support and regular product updates, QuickBooks Enterprise continues to be a solid solution for organizations that require robust accounting functionality while maintaining control of their on-premises environment.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

QuickBooks Enterprise has been a reliable accounting platform for our organization, providing robust financial management, inventory tracking, reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll capabilities. It performs well in a multi-user manufacturing environment and integrates effectively with many third-party business applications. The reporting tools are comprehensive, and the software offers the flexibility needed to support growing business operations.

#### Cons

While QuickBooks Enterprise is feature-rich, some areas could benefit from modernization. The user interface feels dated compared to newer cloud-based ERP platforms, and certain administrative tasks still require manual processes. Native integrations with external business systems could be more seamless, and larger datasets can occasionally impact performance if the environment is not properly maintained.

#### Reasons for choosing QuickBooks Enterprise

QuickBooks Enterprise offered the functionality we needed with lower cost and simpler deployment.

### The Ultimate Accounting Solution for Growing Mid-Sized Businesses

QuickBooks Enterprise provides a highly reliable, robust accounting and operational solution that excels at managing high transaction volumes and complex, multi-location inventory. It serves as an effective bridge for growing mid-sized businesses that have outgrown standard bookkeeping software but wish to avoid the significant costs and implementation challenges associated with traditional corporate ERP systems. While the platform is exceptionally stable and feature-rich, its legacy interface and increasing subscription costs necessitate full utilization of its advanced tracking modules to ensure an optimal return on investment.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

QuickBooks Enterprise is the perfect solution for our mid-sized business, as it effortlessly handles our massive transactional volume. The advanced inventory tracking, multi-warehousing capabilities, and customizable user permissions are exactly what we needed to scale. It bridges the gap perfectly between basic small-business bookkeeping software and overly complex, multi-million dollar ERP systems.

#### Cons

The pricing model for QuickBooks Enterprise has reached an unsustainable level. Intuit is effectively compelling legacy users to transition to costly annual subscriptions while simultaneously removing essential localized features. Furthermore, the customer support experience is consistently frustrating, as the automated systems and representatives often lack the technical expertise required to assist with advanced accounting configurations.

### Powerful Accounting Software That Grows With Your Business

- Company size: 2-10 employees
- Product usage: Used weekly for free trial

Overall, my experience has been very positive. Once you get used to the system, it becomes a powerful tool for managing accounting, transactions, payroll, and invoicing all in one place. It offers good value for money if you actually use the advanced features it provides. Email communication for invoices and reports works well, and transaction management is reliable and accurate. It’s not the simplest software out there, but it’s dependable and built for businesses that need more than basic accounting. I’d recommend it to mid-sized or growing businesses that need detailed reporting and strong inventory management, but smaller teams might find it more than they need.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

What I liked most about QuickBooks Enterprise is how robust it is. It handles large amounts of data and transactions without slowing down, which is a big deal for a growing business. The reporting tools are excellent — you can really drill down into the numbers and customize reports to fit your needs. Inventory management is also a strong point, especially if you’re managing multiple warehouses or a large product list. Invoicing and invoice management are straightforward, and I like that you can track payments and outstanding balances easily. Overall, it gives you a lot of control over your financials.

#### Cons

The biggest downside is the price. It’s definitely an investment, especially for smaller businesses. There’s also a learning curve — it’s not the most beginner-friendly system, and it can feel overwhelming at first. Some features feel a bit outdated in terms of interface design. Customer support is decent, but sometimes wait times can be longer than expected.

I only used the free trial, but my initial experience was positive. The software felt professional, well organized, and designed for businesses with more advanced accounting needs. While I didn't use it long enough to evaluate every feature, it gave me confidence that it could be a valuable tool for clinics or growing practices that need detailed financial management.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

I wanted something that could simplify the financial side of managing a practice. During the free trial, I found the interface organized and the reporting features easy to explore. It seemed like a comprehensive solution with tools that could save time once everything is set up.

#### Cons

There is a learning curve because of the number of features available, and I felt that the trial period wasn't quite long enough to explore everything in depth. The full version also appears to be a significant investment.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

QuickBooks Enterprise has been a solid solution for managing accounting, invoicing, and business operations in one place. It offers powerful features for growing businesses, especially those that need advanced inventory tracking, detailed reporting, and multi-user access. While it has a learning curve at first, once everything is set up properly it becomes a very efficient system for daily operations. One of the biggest advantages of QuickBooks Enterprise is its robust invoicing and invoice management tools. Creating invoices is fast and customizable, and tracking payments is very straightforward. The reporting features are also excellent and provide valuable insights for financial management. The software handles large amounts of data smoothly compared to simpler accounting platforms. Customer support has generally been helpful when dealing with setup or technical questions, and there are many online resources and tutorials available. The mobile access is convenient for checking important information remotely, although some advanced features work better on desktop. In terms of value for money, it can be worth the investment for medium-sized or expanding businesses that need more advanced accounting capabilities than basic bookkeeping software offers.

The software can feel overwhelming for new users because of the large number of features and settings. There is definitely a learning curve in the beginning. Occasionally there are bugs or performance slowdowns, especially after updates or when working with large company files. I have been using this platform for many years, and regardless of who I am doing bookkeeping for, I consistently recommend QuickBooks over its competitors. The system is incredibly simple to use while still offering all the functionality needed for accurate and efficient bookkeeping. Its reliability and ease of navigation make it a dependable choice for businesses of all sizes.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

QuickBooks provides an efficient way for us to store records, pay bills, enter invoices, and send bulk emails to vendors when needed. The platform is very user-friendly, with no pop-ups or distracting ads. Its annual fee is minimal compared to other bookkeeping platforms, making it a great fit for our budget. Additionally, whenever issues arise, the QuickBooks support team offers helpful answers and resources directly on their website.

#### Cons

I do not like the constant push to move to QuickBooks Online. I prefer the desktop version because it is simple and consistent, with each update making minimal changes. The online version relies heavily on internet connectivity and computer performance, which can introduce unnecessary complications and occasional disruptions.

Performs reasonably for our facility management duties. It is expensive, but the high and advanced inventory tracking to see how cleaning supplies get used across warehouses is required. Secure on desktop, mobile needs development. Recommends for those who have 20+ client contracts.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

The job costing attribute enables me to monitor costs per work location crucial with several of our buildings. Recurring Invoices can save time when it comes to monthly maintenance contracts. Reporting DISPLAYS properties that make money. Because they can integrate with our time tracking app, there's less manual data entry for technician time.

#### Cons

When taking receipt snapshots at job sites, mobile application crashes. Invoices are not consecutive, sometimes there are gaps, which creates confusion in our financial accounting. Tickets are answered in 2-3 days by tech support.

I like the simplicity of the software. It is easy to navigate and quickly learn how to site works even if you are new to computers.

#### Cons

I think what I like least is maybe not even necessarily quickbooks fault, but it is difficult to print checks and know exactly how to place them in the printer in order to get them to print correctly. And then if you don’t print it correctly, it can sometimes be difficult to reprint it. Also you sometimes print them in the wrong order so then you have to go and reassign check numbers.

In general, I really do like QuickBooks. It is a soft posting system, meaning data can be changed at will. Many accounting professionals like that, but many do not as data could change after closing a period. The user interfaces are easy to learn and all the modules have a similar appearance and usability.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

QuickBooks Enterprise is a very large program with the capability to support multiple lists and items. For someone who would like to utilize historical data across the platform, it is excellent. The interface of the program acts like many other software products and is not "accountant-ease" but rather English based so seems more logical for a user who is not familiar with accounting software. Invoicing, receiving payments and managing inventory are are very good in the software.

#### Cons

QuickBooks Enterprise is not without it's problems. As lists grow the speed of the system will become slower. Customer Service is also sometimes a problems. I am a former Pro-Advisor for Intuit and remember a time when their Customer Service was outstanding. In prior years, we used to have a dedicated representative that would follow the problem until it was resolved. Today, the outsourcing of service has made that impossible which makes it difficult if not cumbersome to work a problem through to resolution without needing to explain everything over. Also, at one time you could purchase the software outright. Today it is subscription based per year. The rising cost of the subscription is becoming prohibitive on an annual basis.

Be extremely careful with their trials. The person on their customer support line told me incorrect information which basically wasted my entire trial. At the advice of their support team, I signed up for an appointment in the future, but when it came time for the appointment, they canceled on me because my trial was over. Ridicules to offer a trial that does not even provide access to the service that is being trial. Upon talking with their support later, they said they are unable to reinstate my trial. In general support calls with Quickbooks are frustrating, as they will keep transferring me to different departments and it takes hours to solve a simple problem.
