Sigma Estimates Software

The Sigma product line by Sigma Estimates offers construction companies, general contractors, engineering firms and architectural offices a suite of extremely scalable cost estimating applications. With Sigma, businesses gain increased visibility and transparency throughout the organization by centralizing all critical information into a single, user-friendly interface.

This single point of access for all users leads to better collaboration among the team, as well as mitigating the risk and loss associated with spreadsheet errors when creating cost estimates. Sigma also offers true mobile capabilities to all users - contractors, owners, consultants, project managers - with a mobile app that can be used in the field, on job sites, in client meetings and more.

The Sigma platform provides a familiar Microsoft-like user environment, so the learning curve is minimal and most users, even those without a whole lot of expertise in spreadsheets, can be up and running in a few hours. Pricing is subscription-based, with options for either low monthly payments or a one-time annual fee per user.

Sigma has a set of different applications to meet the needs to businesses of all sizes. Sigma Personal is best for small businesses, while Sigma Professional is better suited for companies managing medium and large projects and looking for a complete costing package for estimating, budgeting and quoting. Sigma Enterprise is a fit for large organizations with extensive projects and complex estimating requirements.

Each of these solutions can be tailored and customized to each company's individual processes and they can also integrate seamlessly with RSMeans Cost Data, Autodesk’ Revit and Bentley’s iModel as well as existing ERP systems and more.

Easy to use software for accurate estimates from Revit models. Integrates easily with RS Means data.

Pros

Extremely easy to use and save tremendous time using Revit model data for estimates. We are able to easily export our Revit models to link with data from RS Means and create very accurate estimates. Workflow is very intuitive. Software cost is very reasonable.

Cons

There really are no negatives. We have been using Sigma for years and have had excellent results. It is extremely user friendly and when we run into issues, the company has been extremely supportive in giving assistance. Great product and great company.

Pros

What I like most about Sigma is that I was able to pick up on it very quickly. I had no problem turning the software into my own, and making templates so my estimating went smoothly.

Cons

Its hard to say what I like least because I have not run into any problems where it has changed my thoughts about the software.
