Boomtown provides marketing and sales automation solutions for the real estate industry. Through Boomtown, brokers can select and customize a lead generation website, track and nurture leads, and monitor team success and sales. The application is SaaS based and can be accessed from an iPad, smartphone, and a tablet.

The automated marketing tools create a way for brokers and agents to stay in touch with prospects and clients so that agents can nurture leads without having to manually track all interactions. The system automatically sends notifications regarding listing updates, so that agents can remain up-to-date with their markets.

Boomtown features advanced website analytics, allowing users to track a prospective buyer's or seller's movements and interactions across the site. Sales analytics include dashboards that can help managers monitor their team’s engagement. The tool allows users to customize their product website and add features like mortgage calculator, home value estimator, price history, property details and property maps.

BoomTown is an average web marketing system for real estate professionals with an efficient mix of technology and services. BoomTown gives lead generation, CRM technology, and consumer-facing websites. I would recommend looking at other CRM before going with this.

Pros

I have been consulting as CRM Administrator/Analyst for a while now and have had the chance to work with a couple companies that use Boomtown as their CRM tool. Boomtown isn't my favorite software to implement or work. The UI is clunky at times but has definitely improved over the years. This is a mid-tier dashboard, that leaves you wanting more. What I do like is that individuals can easily set up campaigns and client contact information. The product does make it easy/clear to Identify which clients you have not reached out to in a while. With this CRM they offer the ability to do texting campaigns, which are very easy to set up. This is great because you don't have to use your phone to send out the campaign to the targeted clients.

Cons

Pricing and Customer support. I have help companies during the implementation process and have not been a fan working with their support team. They have never been attentive and rarely know the answers to issues the first time. Also, I would not recommend this product to a small business because it can become very expensive and you are locked into a 12-month contract that may not work for every company.

This product is so robust and powerful it is unbelievable. The predictive crm is unparalleled.
Lead gen is consistent and almost too much.

Cons

There is a steep learning curve. There are so many functions it took me a while to get everything in place to properly utilize all of the features.

Ease of use, full feature functionality, it's got the whole package, and great integration across other platforms.

Cons

For an individual agent, it's a little tough to get enough good leads for just a handful of properties. For a larger team though, generating leads for many many different listings, you could definitely get more bang for the buck. Also the pay-per-click is a little pricey.

We are currently in the process of switching CRMs and have had a wonderful experience with the support team at Boomtown. Our new site is beautiful and it was easy to sync our Zillow leads with the Boomtown CRM.

Cons

The only con I can think of would be trying to schedule the training session once the site is launched. With this being said, if your team plans ahead and chooses a date earlier enough, you should not have any issues.

I love how easy it is to use. The staff at Boomtown has been AMAZING. I still have not even used all the features of the CRM but I am slowly but surely learning what they all do.

Cons

I would not know it its a negative thing but it still is pricy even though I got it on special. For a new agent starting up having a legit website is key. I would like to see them offer a cheaper version for starting Realtors.

Not what they claim it to be. Poor communication, poor results and overcharged us. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

Pros

They seemed like decent people when we signed up and we they said they would provide good support for us.

Cons

They did not keep their word. They overcharged us multiple times on billing. They were told not to continue buying large amounts of leads fro the required PPC and they ignored our requests and charged us anyways. They return was nothing like they said it would be. No one from management would even return our call. Very poor business practices.

Great software for generating leads and tracking them. You can call, email, and text directly through the CRM and start an automated drip campaign to your prospects.

Likes Least

There is not an effective post transaction mechanism to keep in contact with clients once you have closed a deal.

Recommendations

Its great product for lead generation but it can be expensive. They have many add-on features and affiliation like Rok-r-box for ISA services or you have to hire your own if do not want to wade through the bogus leads that come. You also get many tire-kickers.

The software is user friendly, easily used, and even when they update the system, I do not feel lost. They don't reinvent the wheel, they make it easy to your job. Once a lead signs up, the system helps to alert you when the prospect is using the website. You can see everything a client is looking at, you can text them pre-done templates in text messages directly from your computer, and set up automatic emails, and so much more. You can have a client signed up for years before they are ready to buy, but once they start showing interest Boomtown notifies you.

I dont have anything negative. Every time I need help, they are diligent in working with me.

Recommendations

Dive into it. Let the system work for you! Don't use tons of different programs, put them all here, and make your life easier.

It's a great lead generator. The Boomtown team is constantly innovating and improving things in order to help us generate more leads. There are lots of IDX lead generations solutions out there and I truly believe Boomtown is the best. What really sets them apart is the back end of their site. It gives us great transparency into our prospect's search habits, enables us to follow up effectively with leads and allows me to hold the agents on my team accountable.

Likes Least

It's an expensive tool and you have to be willing to follow up with a lot of leads to determine which buyers and sellers are legitimate. However, if you're looking to grow a big business this is part of it.

Recommendations

Make sure you have the capacity (# of agents) to handle the volume of leads and understand it takes a while to build a pipeline and start to see a solid return on this investment. This is a long term business builder not a quick fix.

When I'm so busy, it automatically sends to clients updates and communication. I get on the website daily and pick the communication out of the samples listed and they are wonderful to use!

Quick notifications and easy way to keep track of clients. Great tech support. The team is coming to St. Louis RE/MAX Vision this Thursday and Friday to go over everything again. So many great options and I lose track of things I can do.

Cons

I can't cc the lender on emails sent from phone (1st world problem) which isn't a big deal, I just send it when I get to the computer. I'm sure most/any issue I have is operator error.

Because it helps me keep track of my leads and lead follow-up it has put thousands of extra dollars in my pocket from additional deals.

Pros

It makes keeping track of my leads SO easy. I know when they visit my website, how many times, when they open my emails, etc.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is that when Im on my lead's profile and send an email/text, it has to refresh the page. It's a very minuscule problem, however.

There are many benefits to using BoomTown. Most important is productivity and lead management.

Pros

This is a very easy system to use that logs everything for you and is the Lambo of CRMSs. Easy of access and text message notifications, makes this the best value for your money.

Cons

The app does not update in live time. I use the mobile website instead and though it may not be as easy to use, I have not lost any business since dumping the app.

Lead gen and lead nurture, increase in ROI overall.

Pros

We use Boomtown for our buyer side lead gen and management. It integrates with the website so user activity is captured and shared, our agents know what the clients are looking at. Also use this as a tool to boost our in house listings.
Campaigns are easy to set up and use, once established can easily be launched by agents.
Currently adding approx 4-5 agents per month and orientation and training is simple. We are able to monitor the agents activity and lead response, transfer and reassign as needed.

Cons

Can be clunky with multiple lead sources and could be easier to set up initially.
Have considered switching but this is a well rounded platform and continues to meet our needs.

This software is integrated across numerous platforms and has so many features. Every time I thought of a feature that would be helpful, I then found that this software already had that functionality.

Cons

It is expensive, but given the impressive functionality, that is to be expected. This software requires a user to invest a little time to learn how to use it, and works best when utilized as your main/only software of this type. If you are already using one or more similar types of software, you'll be spreading your time too thin between them all to really use this program to it's full capability.

Pros

I love how easy the system is to use. I especially like the text feature and the ability to automate so much in terms of follow up. Realtors typically hate follow up so the system makes this piece a breeze.

Cons

I do wish you could mass email/text and that there were text campaigns. So many prospects prefer texting and this would allow us to set simple texts regularly.
