Carsforsale.com is a cloud-based marketing solution, which helps automotive businesses manage multiple lead channels and track conversions. Its key features include document management, photo overlays, appointment scheduling and competitor analysis.

The application allows dealers to record visitor information, create lead generation forms and generate reports. With its inventory module, team members can import vehicle data and publish listings to various shopping sites. Managers can use the solution to monitor investments and profit/loss metrics.

Carsforsale.com integrates with third-party platforms such as Credit Acceptance, Westlake Financial Services, 700 Credit, Pure Chat, Edmunds, Google Tag Manager, Facebook, Contact at Once and more. I have always been happy with Carsforsale. I receive a lot of pitches from competitors. It is hard for them to bash CFS because the pricepoint is amazing, and the functionality is all there.

Pros:

It is the best bang for your buck when it comes to website, CRM and lead generation. I am not certain where else you can pay $100 a month and receive all of the services and benefits we receive.

Cons:

The only thing that I am not 100% stoked about is the inability to make changes without contacting support. I wish that our website could be updated and changed often without opening up a service ticket with customer support. Truthfully, though, that appears to be the only negative I've encountered.

Price and the customer support I worked with initially was extremely impressive. (Not to say they aren't still, but I just remember being glad I spoke with them.)

Reasons for switching to Carsforsale.com

It was about 6 years ago when we made the switch. I was working on cutting expenses prior to forecasting for the next year. The product we were using was closer to $900/month and Carsforsale seemed to be a respectable alternative at a much cheaper price.

I was decently happy with most the internal features.

Its a good price for what you get. Paying $99 is a great value but it could use a vin code scanner to import or vehicles and give a book value for potential auction purchases when doing book outs on the fly. If you were to add that it would be a better deal for smaller lot verses Dealercenter or vin Solutions.

Never really got any leads or many clicks from it. Could just be my area or online marketing in my area isn't the best route. Ill really never know I'm no longer in business

Why Do I Have to Title a Review (jk jk no hard feelings)

It's a pretty sick little website platform that feels like a hidden gem in the industry. Miles better than my experience with Dealer.com. I'm surprised more people don't use CfS websites.

Cons:

Website performance (i.e. load times, image quality, etc.) could be better but for $99 you're not gonna catch me complaining TOO much.

TBH I have no flippin idea who I looked at other than CfS at this point (it's been a very long time) but CfS's monthly cost was so much lower than the competition that I would have been a FOOL not to switch.

Great for mainstream dealers, not quite there for niche dealers

For any mainstream car dealer, picking CFS is a no-brainer. Their helpdesk is top notch, they have flexible designs and loads of integrations. But if you sell classic cars or want to add an eCommerce store, they are, at this time, not a suitable solution.

Pros:

Flexible designs, many options, and most of all, an extremely responsive helpdesk team. By far THE BEST helpdesk I've worked with in the last 10 years.

Cons:

Once you ask something that is not in the platform, it takes FOREVER to get them to work on it. Their internal development teams are WAY TOO SLOW to pick up totally logical use cases, and even to fix bugs.

Pros:

It hosts my website. Other than that, I don't think it's that great.

Cons:

I don't like the pre-selected ad words. I would like to make my own and have it stick so I don't have to re-type it every time. I don't like the photo overlay options and I would like to delete the ones I do not use, and save the ones I do. I don't think I am getting enough hits from this. I get more from cargurus and I don't even use them.
