Simple to use, easy to update, and way better than Google Drive
I've talked to our head of enablement and she's a big fan. It's not as powerful as a Seismic or ThoughSpot, but not sure if that's really an apple to apple comparison. If you need a better way to organize sales material, important internal employee info, (i.e. equity FAQs, or ERG information, etc.) than this is much more seamless and easily searchable way for your team. It will save them time vs. going down the rabbit hole in DRive, Dropbox or Box.
PROSWe use Guru from everything to HR, Finance and Sales. The "cards" are easy to set-up, they're time-stamped so you know they're up to date, and you can give a set of people admin access to make updates. For everyone else, they can leave comments and make suggestions so your data stays fresh and can be crowdsourced. I personally love the Chrome plug in, the search in Guru is really good and I rarely have trouble finding a card for whatever I'm searching for. One thing I also like is you can download the card content to PDF< this comes in handy when the content is customer facing, just 1-click and fire it out off in an email or copy the content and paste.
CONSLike anything, the cards can get a bit out of control, it can be hard to update and integrations are limited. It's still much easier and simpler UI than just creating a bunch of folders in Drive. I personally like it much more than Concur as well.

Guru for Users
so far so good while am still learning how to maximize this platform
PROSI just started using this and noticed that it's an all-in-one platform for managing things like projects and tasks
CONSthe help tool wasn't as efficient as I thought it would be as the self-help was not as intuitive while on-the-go usage/training

Guru is key to providing efficiency and consistency for our clients.
I am able to make changes and add notes to the cards at any time when things change and the entire department has access to those changes immediately. No need to write a lengthy email. No need to create a meeting and sit through each change. It's instantaneous and easy to use for everyone.
CONSThe only thing I wish Guru had is even more features to edit the look of the cards. They do have a number of editing features, but even more variety in the future (font sizes, highlight colors, etc) would be greatly appreciated for drawing the eye to important changes.

My overall experience with Guru "I enjoyed my work and it was very convenient.
PROSI like that you can find anything and everything that you need to answer any question you have.
CONSGuru is getting overly populated with information that you don't need which is sometimes outdated and is not of use any longer.

Great tool for knowledge base and more.
My overall experience is just very positive. Guru is a clean management tool that makes our day to day job much easier where I dont need to keep asking my team for an answer because we have Guru as the internal knowledge base and more.
PROSIts very easy to find what I am looking and I can the info was verified.. I can also share cards with a colleague or download the card if I want to.
CONSThere is no something that I like least, I think is attending my needs

Guru is essential for remote work
I work at a company where all employees are remote and things are updating daily. Guru is a great resource for processes, updates, and a knowledge base for all remote employees. I use it several times a week at the very least. It makes finding information very easy and I prefer it to hounding my coworkers for info.
CONSI like everything so far. I guess a potential issue is it needs to be kept updated or people will be trusting/ working off of outdated info but that's really user error, not an issue with the product.

Knowledge Management for the Future
Guru has been such a benefit to our company, it's ability to connect and intergrate with other common work programs has made it much easier to implement. As someone who edits and creates resources within Guru there are a lot of wonderful features when building these cards to help share information in different and visually appealing ways. The Guru support teams are also always very responsive and open to feedback within their forum. Many features have been implemented just in the time we've been using it that have only served to improve the product.
CONSIt would be nice if the search function was more intuitive, right now you have to have a good idea of what you're looking for when searching, and if you don't type it in exactly you're unlikely to get a decent result. The implementation of "Answers" has helped this tremendously, but it would be nice to have in the search functionality.

Guru is Essential for Remote Work
Guru has truly been a lifesaver for us, and has been so successful in our department that our entire company is now moving their knowledge bases to this platform. It is really easy to use and customize and organize, and I would recommend it to any company needing a centralized platform to hold information.
PROSGuru is unbelievably easy to use and makes remote work a breeze. I cannot imagine training or being trained remotely without the use of this software. One of the things I love as an administrator is the ability for my team to make comments and ask questions on the Guru cards themselves. It helps me to update our resources in real-time. Another thing I love is that Guru will send a weekly digest that includes any unanswered questions, and a list of cards that need to be verified. Having reminders of this verification schedule ensures that we (the administrators) update any policy changes ASAP.
CONSThe only hesitancy that my team has around this software is that once you have made a comment or asked a question on Guru, it is permanent and cannot be erased. Often, people will use a different channel to ask questions around Guru cards because they don't want to ask a "silly" question and have that record there for all to see. I personally find all of those questions to be helpful in making our cards as easy to find and follow as possible, but I see why some might be shy to leave a permanent mark in the knowledge base.

From tech support to One Source of truth
Just great! it is amazing how they revolutionized the way we orginazie data, from long and tedious documents to bite size knowledge cards, just great.
PROSWe startted our Guru journey as a place to house our techincal data, but from there so many departments in the cmpany wanted to join in on the success that we are know placing Guru as a one source of truth If it is not there, it's not correct.
CONSTHe only complain I have is with the Q&A module and assigment to answerers.

The Knowledge Management Software that Filled in all the Gaps
Onboarding was amazing - everything is smooth and explained well.
PROSPrior to Guru, we were using over 400 Google Docs, and the sharing, permissions, and document search were getting out of control. No one could find their docs - even inside their own department. Department Leads would just create a new Google doc when they couldn't find the old one - confusing the people who bookmarked the old one. No one knew how up-to-date the content was in our SOPs. Now, with Guru, everything is organized, data is kept up-to-date, and everyone can find the docs they need via a simple search. We also love the accountability of mass "announcing" new, or changing, SOPs and then holding people accountable to what they marked as "Read".
CONSWe cannot directly connect this to our project management system (Monday) which does create some double work.

I'd quit my job if we couldn't use Guru
We have been able to reduce onboarding time for new agents, reduce interruptions of managers and developers, increase the confidence of all agents, and reduce time to full resolution of tickets. It has really transformed the way we work.
PROSI love the Chrome extension, which puts answers at your fingertips without leaving the screen you are on. I love the bite-sized nature of Guru cards which allow you to capture information without worrying too much about formatting (you can always add that later). I love the search capability, which nearly negates the need for any information architecture.
CONSThat I don't take advantage of all its features.

Guru is an outstanding software that is a necessity in any kind of work!
Guru makes my life at work much easier compared to other software that I used before. I would recommend this to other people and it is something that I would always brag to other people that is working in the same kind of industry where I am currently working. Honestly, I would also recommend this to other people who does not work in the same industry as mine. Kudos to Guru!
PROSGuru is a user-friendly software that makes life of the user much easier whenever they need to use it. In my job, I always make sure I have my guru ready because this is our knowledge-based tool and whenever I need to search something, it is very easy to search what I need to look for. It is also very accessible.
CONSHonestly, there is nothing that I didn't like or like the least about Guru. It is perfect for my job and it is something that I would recommend to other people. Guru is a type of software that does not have a con or negative side in it.

Review for Guru
Its very useful and our company has titled heavily towards using it. Its useful.
PROSThe clean look and simplicity of use. It's fairly intuitive and I am able to generally find what I need. I dont know if its my organization or guru, but I feel like the first page/landing page for us employees when we first login could be laid out better where the new content draws the eye more, right now what draws the eye most is, in my estimation, useless information - highlighted boxes for "Total number of cards " Top verifiers" and "Top Authors" That should be under settings, Who cares,. Should not be the most prominent thing when I login to Guru. A Better layout in my estimation should be a Netflix style gallery of cards - two rows, one row on top 5 most searched cards for easy access, second row 5 newest additions. That should cover about 80% of our searches.
CONSI don't feel like the search results are the best. They are good, but I do think they could be better.

Amazing Business Knowledge App
It really helps me quite my teammates quite educated on what's new in the company and this saves a LOT of of talking or explaining. I'm really glad Guru exists.
PROSI really like the fact that every knowledge card can be easily organized into boards and the level of permission configuration is so high and reliable. I really dig its design and language too.
CONSThe last update make the whole page a bit slower and the side menu is a bit crammy. The search tool speed was never great either. And the most complicated of all is the card text editor – when it sticks to a certain format, forget it, you are never going to be able work around unless you delete it all. It's really a pain when you need to edit already existing cards. Oh, the Chrome extension is not really responsive and also quite slow. I ended up removing it and sticking with the site instead.

Guru is an awesome helper!
Guru is a really helpful software where you can save your sensitive and internal data at work and just selected people can have it. Guru is the best!
PROSI really like using Guro, it is great to have it. I use Guru every day at work and it helps me with many internal and sensitive data that the company has. I worked remotely and Guro has been an awesome helper in my work daily activities.

An honest review of the Guru as a Knowledge Base
The overall performance of this platform is magnificent. The graphics are engaging, the appearance is well thought of and the proper emphasis on important tabs is a big help. One feature that I admire the most is the cards, since being in the CSR industry for over 4 years already you dont get to see an overview for the articles you want to refer to. It's like having a preface on a book. You can also add the most useful articles on your home page which is a huge plus on convenience.
CONSOne small improvement I hope was present is that the links for the articles can be viewed on the same home page. I hope that you can maximize scrolling through the same page without having to open on a new tab because that's pretty confusing especially once you're in the middle of a call.

The ease of searching cards and the new AI-powered "Ask a question" feature. It would be great to keep improving on this to leverage for searching existing resources for information/answers.
CONSThe opening and closing of different cards instead of being able to "tab" them like when searching an internet browser. Would make going between cards and copying multiple cards when having to reference multiple resources easier.
