Nimble offers browser widget and mobile-based sales force automation and social CRM solution for small and midsize businesses. The solution automatically populates customer profiles and interaction histories from contact lists, email conversations and social media activity across a range of popular platforms including LinkedIn.

In addition to contact and pipeline management features such as deal tracking, task management, and alerts, Nimble also includes integrated social listening to keep customer profiles updated. This allows businesses to track which contacts are mentioning, following or engaging with them, or who are celebrating milestones such as birthdays—which in turn creates valuable opportunities for informed outreach and follow-ups.

Nimble’s “Today Page” offers one comprehensive view of to-dos, key deals and engagement opportunities. These are generated by Nimble’s “Rules Engine,” which learns from user behavior to prioritize social signals and predict which contacts and opportunities are most relevant. Nimble also offers a range of email widgets, allowing users to view rich, contextual detail from their contacts’ Nimble profiles even from outside the system.

I love how easy it is to manage time clocks for my employees and to integrate the time clocking software with my payroll software.

Cons

I like the scheduling factor, however it is a little hard to maneuver. It can be tedious to add shifts and change those after the fact.

Started out great but a bit downhill now!

I started using Nimble as a paid user for a couple of years now. As an early adopter, I had great hopes the company would reward early users with new features and benefits. Now I am very disappointed! The price for the service has gone up per month and the features have actually gone down - as the new features get tested on us loyal clients and then taken away to higher cost plans.
The most recent issue is a notice that I have used up my 5GB plan limits and need to upgrade to a more expensive plan. I only have 8000 contacts - how could that possibly use up 5GB of data!
Well, I found out - Nimble is downloading all of my Gmail messages and attachments and storing them on their server. They then use this data against my 5GB plan! If I delete messages out of Nimble to stay in the 5GB limit then it deletes these from my Gmail account. So Nimble is trying to FORCE me to buy a more expensive plan!

Pros

The Social media integration is a nice feature. I'm afraid to say about other features because they will get moved to higher price plans.

Cons

The Android app for my phone crashes constantly! We're sorry Nimble Crashed message is a constant companion on my phone. Holding my Gmail messages hostage for more money is a real Con! They used me to test their group message feature and then took it away once they got it working.

We have been with Nimble for a little over 2 years. Depending on the size of the company, I would recommend this product. You can chat with someone pretty much at any time, and they answer your questions with little wait time.

Pros

They are very helpful. If you want a feature, you can ask, and they might be able to add it.

Cons

Can be slow running, and when you type someones name in they don't always come up right away.

Advice to Others

If you are looking for a scheduling software, for a smaller size company, nimble would be great for that and the pricing is reasonable.

The program is highly organized and the search feature is perfectly optimized. It can be accessed from anywhere in the world making it extremely helpful during travel. It connects automatically with social media making it very helpful for a media based company like ourselves.

There's nothing to complain about this product. I don't understand the deals section and the stay in touch feature isn't helpful for us.

Recommendations

Nimble has a great connection to social media and it will pull information from people's accounts so that you are updated. Also, the new group messaging is a great tool. It is also nice to connect your gmail and see all your correspondence with someone.

There are so many great tools to utilize, but sadly there are too many for our little organization. I wouldn't say that we dislike it because there are so many tools.

I just got back to freelancing and I wanted to use a CRM software that would offer quick ramp-up, ease of use, rich profile discovery and connectivity to Google Apps as well as my Invoicing/Project Management tool. I've been evaluating Nimble as well as a couple of other competing services, and so far, I'm very pleased with it. The Chrome Extension is also super handy and I used it extensively to quickly build & enrich my contacts profiles. The Today tab has become the first thing I check in the morning.

Once a lead is confirmed, I would like to create the client and use the info as a starting point to define a project in another service (for invoicing and project management, namely Xero).
Maintaining contacts synced between various services is becoming a challenge - with Google Apps it works relatively well when using the recommended PieSync.

Recommendations

I'm usually very bad at staying in touch with my contacts, so I was looking for something to bring some rigour to it - a good contact management tool, a mechanism for reminding me of getting in touch, and lead management.

From time to time the search is clunky. The funnel reporting is also clunky as the default time horizon for closure in reporting tool is rarely what you need.

Recommendations

Nimble may not be adaptable to reporting requirements, etc.; but adaptability comes with the cost of decreased use because of the burden to update.

Mixed results. Flawed, but still the best match for us.

We researched ~10 CRM solutions for our small software contracting company (9 people), to help keep track of leads and communications. We have some frustrations with Nimble, but at least as of the last round of reviews it was the best match for our business.

Things we like:

* Price point is reasonable
* Automatic integration with gmail - communications over email with a contact show up with no extra work from us
* Automatic integration with social media
* Shared information with several people on our team
* Reminders to stay in touch with people can be easily created at the same time the contact is created

Likes Least

I have a number of frustrations with ranging from small to moderate. They are:
1) Can only integrate one social media account of each type. Fixing this has been "coming soon" for about eight months. Right now it means I need to decide between my business Twitter account (the official face of the company), and my individual Twitter account (which has 20 times as much traffic). I interact with business contacts via both and can only track one.

2) The Deals tracking tool has several deficiences:
2.1) The Deals view is wider than the page, which requires annoying scrolling with an embedded horizontal scrollbar, and you can't see it all at once. (Deals columns: 1570 pixels. Page width: fixed 1200 pixels, even if your browser is 2000 pixels wide.)
2.2) The "stages" of a deal have an arbitrary maximum limit of 99 days in stage. In my industry, initial contacts often turn into paying work 8-12 months later after companies complete fundraising. Nimble can't handle this.
2.3) There's no way to hide or "put on ice" a deal that is suspended temporarily. You can only close the deal as "won" or "lost". See above, I frequently have leads disappear for a year and then come back to hire us. Unless I want to lose the work I've entered, my only option is to keep all possible leads visible in case they come back eventually.

3) Nimble has its own separate contacts database from my Gmail contacts and no tool built in to synchronize them automatically. I have to use a 3rd-party tool to sync them, and it's fiddly to keep working right. Right now, I think it hasn't worked in a couple of months.

4) The Chrome plug-in to help you enter contact info from Gmail or from a web page is inconsistent. Frequently I select or hover contact name or info, but the plug-in doesn't detect it and I end up having to enter the contact manually anyway.

Recommendations

Make a list of the kind of information you'd like to track, and the way your sales and contact workflow works, to generate a checklist of features you'd like in your CRM. Review the free trials of 5 to 10 of them, and see how well they complete the checklist, so that you have a concrete measurement of what actually suits your needs and what doesn't.

I really enjoy Nimble's intuitive interface and the social media linking features available. For the monthly price, Nimble is worth the low monthly rate for the customer management/database aspect alone. Nimble also tracks your conversations and email history, if you link it to your email. This can be handy when you have a large contact database.

If you are inclined to use it as a task management tool, the functionality is there as well, and I understand that they have just added group emailing within the system.

My company uses Mailchimp as an email marketing tool, and we use Nimble to back up all of those contacts and lists. Nimble technically can upload new contacts directly to Mailchimp. However, it only uploads the email address, sometimes the name. I wish there were a more robust sync option or webhook development to enable real-time or schedule syncs, with option to upload all fields, as well as Groups.

Also, to upload a spreadsheet of contacts- you have to very carefully format your CSV list to exactly match Nimble's fields. If you don't, it just won't upload, and you won't know it. Look on Nimble's website for a free upload template (spreadsheet) to use- that will make your job easier

Lastly, sometimes I find that I end up with duplicated tags (which I use as database "groups"). You have to manually merge those contacts to the original list and then delete the duplicated group. If you don't stay on top of this and inform all users to be careful when typing in a tag for a contact, this can easily happen.

Recommendations

If you are looking for a cost-effective, cloud-based database, you can't do much better than Nimble.

Some systems may look good because of all the things they can do. If you don't need all those things they get in the way of the usability. You can buy the system with every possible function but if it's not simple and easy to use, you've just wasted your money.

Contacts: brings all information from the major SM platforms which automatically fills out the profiles. You can also add lead type, source type and many other options to build your profiles. With contacts you can add Tags and Search, When used properly Nimble's tag and search system saves so much time. You can add unlimited tags and then create searches based on those tags and contact details.
The vendor is very responsive and in many ways makes you feel as part of the team.

No complaints about the vendors, but about the product, the Social Media aspect is limited, ie, only one Twitter feed. I would love to be able ditch a scheduling platform for Nimble, but currently I have to use Nimble and a 2nd platform.

Recommendations

Nimble has a of aspects to do it, Today, messages, contacts, sales, insights etc. This might seem overwhelming for the new user. My advice is, concentrate on the aspects the aspects that work best for you and forget the rest. No one one platform is perfect and neither is Nimble, however, if you use it in the correct way for the right reasons, you will get so much value from it.

nimble saves tons of time by collecting data around my contacts and makes it easy to capture new contacts from scratch with some clicks just from any website with the browser widget. Instad of wasting time with data entry and updating data, nimble takes care for me. On top, nimble allows me to use all communication channels from e-mail over social to group mail in the same client and nimble comes up with fresh ideas and new features frequently. Support is great.

It does not work with Office365 accounts in Europe and it is not prepared for multilingual environments, which is almost inevitable in European companies.

Recommendations

Users should be aware of the positioning of this product. It is not meant to be a replacement for the corporate CRM, it is a personal contact and communication manager which helps to boost sales productivity for each sales person incredibly.

If you are looking for a management centric solution with nice dashboards for managers, that want to control their staff, this is not the right tool.

I don't like the deal summary section. I wish I could filter by year, by quarter, etc. I wish there was a way to connect married people or people who live at the same address (for mailings). I hear this is a new feature, but I would like to be able to email a group all at once. I also wish a contact's address information was at the top of the page.

Interface promotes ease of use. Daily email reminders. Reminders of when to contact customers. Social media info.

Cons

Needs to have a drip campaign capability. Charging for extra memory and for group emails, especially the small number of emails, makes very little sense, other than to increase revenue opportunities. In both cases, most of your competitors have liberal memory capabilities and allow far more group emails, even when charging added costs.

1. Nimble's ability to pull social and contact data reduces the amount of data I have to enter manually.

2. The Nimble Smart App for Browsers is the real point of difference. With browser extension you are able to hover over a person's name or company name, in say LinkedIn, and Nimble will build a profile of the person with position, social media profiles, of the business' company size and revenues (if available publicly available).

You can then click a button and it adds them immediately to your Nimble database. It gives the option to add other information you have about them.

While still in say LinkedIn, you can setup a task or even send a message to say their twitter handle if you follow them. Both task and message will display in the record when you open Nimble!

Nimble has similar add-ins for GMail and MS Outlook

3. Having my e mail and calendar and CRM information in one place is invaluable.

4. The ability to easily create lists of contacts based on segments means I can provide more useful information and run small campaigns based on these lists.

5. The "Group Message" facility enables me to send a personalise email to segment lists (as created above) and track the responses. You are able to use specified merge tags such as First name, last name, Company.

The key is the email are seen as being sent from your actual email address not a "mass e-mail" tool such as Mailchimp.

Nimble has all standard CRM functions.

Cons

The email editor is not as good those in GMail and LinkedIn. However this is overcome by using your GMail or Outlook and you have access to the Nimble Add-in for both programs.

While the Group Message function is an excellent feature it would great to see a full e-newsletter campability available from within Nimble.

Pros

Ease of use and overall functionality is great. The ability to learn through social channels more about your client is great. Also, the ability to easily bring all your social and email conversations together is fantastic.

Cons

I'm not crazy about the help library. I just do not find it intuitive enough and a bit cumbersome. I really have little that I find a con for the product. I'm also a Salesforce user and find Nimble to be much less time consuming and fewer clicks of the mouse to get things done.

The connection with Social Media that populated information found. Helps to have photos added in. Ease of use.

Cons

That the cursor gets stuck in the email after typing the 1st words, returning-- can't keep typing. Need to go back & work with the cursor. Makes me nuts!

Easy to use. Easy to import/export Information. The ability to mass email and scheduled reminders is great as well.

Cons

In Real estate it would be nice to place both husband and wife on one entry. Also it would be nice if we could choose which mailing address would be on top and that we could override addresses pulled from FB, twitter, etc.

I have a database of contacts that I can confident in using because it's updated.

Pros

One of the things I love most about Nimble is that it's such a simple, clean, easy-to-use interface that it doesn't feel like hard work to update my contacts. I pretend it's a game to help make me want to regularly get in there and update.

I think it also feels good to use because the team, from the CEO down to tech support is always so friendly and helpful that it makes the software feel that way.

Cons

I could be picky about a few things in the layout but that could just be me :-) I do find it funny that "social selling" and/or "networking" aren't options in the Lead Source drop down. As I said, only very small picky things.

I have always had trouble staying in contact with clients in between their buying cycles. Nimble allows me to stay in touch with them and store information relevant to them.

Pros

I like the pricing structure. Some of the other CRMs make it hard to justify using them because they are so expensive. Nimble is easy to learn and navigate. My information was easily imported. I can track my deals and keep in contact with my customers.

Cons

I wish Nimble had a mass email client included with the product. This would make it simpler to operate without having another third party subcription.

I record more info on my contacts than I did when using Microsoft Access. It is easier to tie contacts to their social media profiles. I can more easily keep track of my past communications with contacts.

Pros

It is online, inexpensive, and ties in some social media. Works reasonably well with Gmail. It is the only CRM that I have really used.

Cons

While you can put in a regular mailing address, there is no way to mail in the app. You have to export your list and do your mail merge with your word processor. Although it integrates with MailChimp, it will not draw my new subscribers from there automatically. I have to export the subscriber list in MailChimp, and import it into Nimble. I usually get my new contacts through email, but Nimble doesn't draw that info from the emails automatically like I had hoped. You can open it up in the sidebar when you're in Gmail and then copy and paste the data into their fields.

It's a great place to tag and track sales prospects.

Pros

Very easy to figure out whom I need to follow up with and what I need to say. I also like being able to import contacts from all over social media.

Cons

Not integrated easily with my email service provider. It's also hard to upload the sales pipeline, and the steps in the sales process for prospects.

I already know that a CRM is useful. But to get the most out of it, you must use it. And I do, because it's easy.

Pros

I don't have to think to open another software while I'm on the web. It's integrated in my gmail and in my browser.

Also:
- able to see social presence with one-click
- I can add my contacts easily
- all emails are logged

Cons

I would love that the app logged automatically the calls in the software. This is missing, so we have to enter the information manually.

Sales Prospecting, Lead and Contact profile enrichment through social dossier views. We have implemented Nimble across our Sales and Marketing processes through integration with our Marketing Automation Service 366 Degrees and into our main CRM Salesforce.com. Nimble saves us time in identifying, updating information on contacts and streamlines our sales and marketing segmentation for top of the funnel communication efforts.

Pros

Nimbles ability to build a social dossier on leads, contacts and prospects is the strength of the service. The service allows us to identify and learn more about individuals to fine common ground before initial engagement or outreach communications. The ability to work across email, linkedin and other platforms to enrich contact profile information is excellent. We like the ease of integration of Nimble to other platforms like Salesforce.com, 366 Degrees and Google. Nimble powers the enrichment of interactions and engagement across platforms.

Cons

We have specific use cases for Nimble defined in our communication process with leads, contacts and relationships so for this purpose it meets and exceeds our needs. Many companies try to compare to other CRM's like Salesforce.com which is not apples to apples. The power of Nimble is it can be used as SMB CRM or coupled with other larger enterprise CRM platforms for deeper personal communications at an individual level for customer facing employees like Sales or Support to add value through the social dossier views.

Tracking notes on specific deals or individuals and having those notes and related emails in one place. Connection to LinkedIn and Facebook.

Pros

Inexpensive, plugin for Outlook to quickly capture in from email contacts. Group emails come directly from my address, not a 3rd party "on behalf of" so it is less likely to be flagged as spam.

Cons

I wish the monthly subscription included more group email access (like the beta period did). I wish Nimble had 1-way or 2-way sync directly with Microsoft's People app so I could add contacts to one and selectively sync based on something easy to add/remove in bulk, like Tags.

Pros

The prospecting and finding potential clients, updates on existing clients through social channels is invaluable. Loved it but my business outgrew it and was using too many platforms.

Cons

The mobile app needs development and could use an Ipad version. Without third party could not manage duplicate contacts

I like the quick search and being able to find people's social media handles from the Google chrome plug-in. The email templates are helpful as well.

Cons

The lack of prospecting tools could be improved. If there was a way for me to see a prospects email address and phone number, that would be extremely helpful. Other similar tools that I use have this capability.
