Nimble offers browser widget and mobile-based sales force automation and social CRM solution for small and midsize businesses. The solution automatically populates customer profiles and interaction histories from contact lists, email conversations and social media activity across a range of popular platforms including LinkedIn.

In addition to contact and pipeline management features such as deal tracking, task management, and alerts, Nimble also includes integrated social listening to keep customer profiles updated. This allows businesses to track which contacts are mentioning, following or engaging with them, or who are celebrating milestones such as birthdays—which in turn creates valuable opportunities for informed outreach and follow-ups.

Nimble’s “Today Page” offers one comprehensive view of to-dos, key deals and engagement opportunities. These are generated by Nimble’s “Rules Engine,” which learns from user behavior to prioritize social signals and predict which contacts and opportunities are most relevant. We have been using Nimble in our environment now for about 2 years. what a great product. the portal is very easy to use and navigate and gives you everything you need right at your fingertips . Having fail over built in and monitor of hardware gives you peace of mind that your appliance is up and functioning for the users.

Cons

no cons with this product. Everything we needed it to do it has done and more. we would look to purchase more from NIMBLE when the time comes.

Cons

I would like some additional features, such as a more robust "ToDo List." For example, I am a BIG Apple user, and I use a Mac and an application called "Things." I love this application.

Pricing is a really big deal. They have priced Nimble just right. Very affordable, especially for a startup. The most important portion of business, communication, Nimble covers very well. I can keep track of what is going on with my clients, leads, and prospects across important social platforms. Nimble also integrates with many apps so it stops the wondering. Keeping track of the conversations stops the wandering. Problem solved.

Cons

I would like to see more integrations available but really that is inconsequential to the benefits. I had a few I wanted to be able to integrate with which weren't available. It wasn't a big enough issue to discontinue use.

Nimble makes you look great online. It tells you when it's time to reach out to someone you haven't communicated with in a while. Cool leads get warm. Warm leads get hot. You get the picture.

Cons

I'd like more set-up instructions on the front end. It's already super easy to use. Having some extra info (based on current situation and future intent) would help me make better decisions earlier and adjust my own workflows accordingly.

Simple way to organize contacts and deals. The email organization was why I signed up for their service.

Cons

Customer service is non-existent when you need them. Takes forever for them to respond. There is plenty of back and forth with them on issues, which would be so much easier if they just went into your account and fixed it. They require you to find the problem and fix it yourself. Very poor mobile.

Started out great but a bit downhill now!

I started using Nimble as a paid user for a couple of years now. As an early adopter, I had great hopes the company would reward early users with new features and benefits. Now I am very disappointed! The price for the service has gone up per month and the features have actually gone down - as the new features get tested on us loyal clients and then taken away to higher cost plans.
The most recent issue is a notice that I have used up my 5GB plan limits and need to upgrade to a more expensive plan. I only have 8000 contacts - how could that possibly use up 5GB of data!
Well, I found out - Nimble is downloading all of my Gmail messages and attachments and storing them on their server. They then use this data against my 5GB plan! If I delete messages out of Nimble to stay in the 5GB limit then it deletes these from my Gmail account. So Nimble is trying to FORCE me to buy a more expensive plan!

Pros

The Social media integration is a nice feature. I'm afraid to say about other features because they will get moved to higher price plans.

Cons

The Android app for my phone crashes constantly! We're sorry Nimble Crashed message is a constant companion on my phone. Holding my Gmail messages hostage for more money is a real Con! They used me to test their group message feature and then took it away once they got it working.

We have been with Nimble for a little over 2 years. Depending on the size of the company, I would recommend this product. You can chat with someone pretty much at any time, and they answer your questions with little wait time.

Pros

They are very helpful. If you want a feature, you can ask, and they might be able to add it.

Cons

Can be slow running, and when you type someones name in they don't always come up right away.

Advice to Others

If you are looking for a scheduling software, for a smaller size company, nimble would be great for that and the pricing is reasonable.

The program is highly organized and the search feature is perfectly optimized. It can be accessed from anywhere in the world making it extremely helpful during travel. It connects automatically with social media making it very helpful for a media based company like ourselves.

There's nothing to complain about this product. I don't understand the deals section and the stay in touch feature isn't helpful for us.

Recommendations

I just got back to freelancing and I wanted to use a CRM software that would offer quick ramp-up, ease of use, rich profile discovery and connectivity to Google Apps as well as my Invoicing/Project Management tool. I've been evaluating Nimble as well as a couple of other competing services, and so far, I'm very pleased with it. The Chrome Extension is also super handy and I used it extensively to quickly build & enrich my contacts profiles. The Today tab has become the first thing I check in the morning.

Once a lead is confirmed, I would like to create the client and use the info as a starting point to define a project in another service (for invoicing and project management, namely Xero).
Maintaining contacts synced between various services is becoming a challenge - with Google Apps it works relatively well when using the recommended PieSync.

Recommendations

I'm usually very bad at staying in touch with my contacts, so I was looking for something to bring some rigour to it - a good contact management tool, a mechanism for reminding me of getting in touch, and lead management.

All in 1 functionality with email, email templates, tasks, contacts, etc. Helps remind me of most important contacts and finds additional contacts. After a short training it's relatively easy to use and effective.

Cons

It's built for traditional sales, but if you want a CRM for other types of business it's less effective. For example, we broker deals between 2 types of companies and its hard in Nimble to monitor this as effective as I would like.

Also, when it synced to my email it added hundreds of irrelevant contacts that it didn't fill in contact details correctly, so I would have to do a lot of manual work. It would be nice if it helped identify people to companies a bit better.

Currently, you can manage one business within Nimble but what many users will do is utilize tags and custom fields to support both of their businesses in Nimble. In regards to contacts from your email account, Nimble does not automatically import contacts but you can add them by clicking the "Import contacts" option and all contacts in your Gmail (for instance) will be added to Nimble. If you'd like to remove this group of contacts you can do this by locating the tag in your Contacts.

I forgot to mention that the APP and the Business Card Scanning feature are super helpful while in tradeshows or at events!

Being able to set tasks for other members of the team. I like the idea that it can link with social media and build a large email list, we just don't know how to use it.

Cons

Not being able to copy and paste text from tasks that team members give. Extremely irritating. When another team members gives us an email address, we have to keep looking at the screen to copy it instead of copy and paste.

Pros

Once you become familiar with it, Nimble is easy to use. As an online data base, it does fairly well linking people with their pertinent information. As with all data bases, its success depends on the accuracy and diligence of the users.

Cons

The developers recently nerfed access to what should be standard features, and started upselling them back to their clients. Bad move.

Scraping and the ability to keep up with social media profiles in the CRM is my favorite feature by far- it's what brought me to Nimble in the first place.

Cons

The phone app is getting there, but not as robust as the desktop version yet. Some of the email & social media history doesn't show up in the phone app.

I think Nimble is an amazing platform for any company owners who are committed to growing relationships via social. Monitor all social media postings real time with your key contacts and prospects allowing you to communicate and comment in real time. Nimble has an amazing Chrome extension that curates all the online information on the person you're connecting with, so that you can leverage areas of common interest and connection. I personally use Nimble to find, connect and develop relationships with my key contacts and prospects.

Cons

Nimble feels skewed towards traditional sales-oriented CRM. I would like it to be more customizable. Otherwise, the interface could be more intuitive and modern.

As a sales manager, I was more than happy to figure out that I can save so much time with this CRM system. Nimble is the well-planned system created to greatly simplify life for salespeople like me and give a chance to use working time much more effectively. Except obtaining a significant amount of time through simplifying the way of working with the clients I can also distinguish a quite convenient agenda which exists right inside the CRM and allows you to plan and do everything that you need without switches between tabs.

Cons

I was not very satisfied with only one thing. I did not want to spend so much time to understand all the processes and features of the CRM. So I recommend creating a detailed tutorial to help people easily sort out in this.

Pros

The product is intuitive and easy to use. We like that it can link to emails to keep contact information up to date.

Cons

We have had multiple problems with connectivity to our Outlook. Nimble has been quick to respond to our requests for help, but the problem continues. It would be nice to be able to attach an email or documents into the notes.

The support! The Nimble support team is fantastic! The key features - email tracking, accessing social media and building a target profile. Nimble is just a great sales tool.

Cons

There is not function to keep the database up to date (i.e., as contact change titles, and companies). Nimble has trouble acquiring the right data from LinkedIn and populating the appropriate fields.

It allows me to manage all my contacts in a single place. To automatically import them from email, and various social networks, and then to engage with them on the platforms that they like best.

Pros

Nimble is a really powerful tool that makes it easy to import contacts from all your social media accounts. Since each of us have activity across each platform, it's hard to keep track of it all in a single place. I can engage with my contacts by email, or on Twitter, and even on Google Plus.

Cons

There are a bunch of interface issues that regularly bug me as a power user. But it's not enough to stop me from using it all day long.

Very user-friendly and only offer what's really required so less clutter.

Pros

It is very user-friendly which is a big bonus. I have tried several different software and this was the easiest to use and offer only what's required so less complications. The best feature is being able to add contacts from Gmail Account.

Cons

I have not tested all of computers but it does not work 100% on chrome-book so I could not use all of functions on Gmail window and it occasionally does not show on the right hand side panel where it supposed to show.

You're correct, Nimble is not 100% compatible with Chromebook, however, you'll be able to utilize all of our features from any Mac or Windows computer on a Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer browser.

Helps me organize my contacts for staying in touch.
I can interact with a person by email or social channels from within Nimble.
I can email relevant information to groups and track the results which is extremely helpful.

Pros

What I like most is that Nimble does the work in terms of populating lead information on its own. This saves me a great deal of time and provides information I would not otherwise have found. I also appreciate the ability to view an individual's social activity and interact with them through Nimble. Another powerful feature for me has been the ability to send group emails and view results.

Cons

When editing Notes I wish I could expand the box for viewing notes in order to make it easier to type and view notes.

The benefits include easy access and easy to teach other users. Also, the company often emails you for tutorials and I like that. Once or twice I needed to actually speak to a human and they were very polite and helpful.

Pros

What I like most about this software is how easy it is to use and the flexibility it allows me. I can use it on my Iphone.

There really isn't much I don't like about the software other then there were times I had trouble with a drop down.
