## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.4/5
- Total reviews: 625

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.4/5
- Customer support: 4.4/5
- Value for money: 4.4/5
- Functionality: 4.1/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 321 reviews (51%)
- 4 stars: 230 reviews (37%)
- 3 stars: 59 reviews (9%)
- 2 stars: 11 reviews (2%)
- 1 star: 4 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- Personally I like the ability to do Marketing and drip campaigns within the system, as well as making/logging calls within the system.
- Nutshell is also committed to improving the platform with new features, a better UI, and excellent customer support. Whenever I have an issue, they respond promptly and work until the issue is resolved. But I rarely have a problem with it.
- I like the dashboard features and that I can choose what I want on my own dashboard vs our old program where admins all had the same sign in information and the sales manager decided what was going to be displayed on the dashboard.

### Most mentioned cons

- The help desk (AI and human), along with the training videos were so poor that it made it difficult to determine the many things that were manual (instead of automated), making usability very poor.
- Because Nutshell is intentionally simple, it may not offer the depth of customization or advanced reporting found in larger enterprise CRMs.
- We are somehow bothered by how data redundancy is approached, detected or managed especially when you are uploading by batch- it is tough.

### Solid CRM for small sales teams

- Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Super easy to use and gets you up and running fast – no complicated setup . The interface is clean and intuitive, so my team actually uses it without complaining . Pipelines and contact management are straightforward, and the free live support is actually responsive and helpful when you need it .

#### Cons

It's pretty basic and sales-focused only – no invoicing, no project management, no time tracking built in . If you need those, you'll have to pay for other tools and stitch them together. Email marketing is a separate paid add-on, which feels annoying for an "all-in-one" CRM . Customization and advanced reporting are also limited compared to bigger enterprise CRMs

Good from beginning to present! The support options are fantastic, and the value for what we're paying annually is excellent. We're a small business, and I don't ever feel that the service we receive differs from big companies or those with large portfolios. I highly recommend Nutshell.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Ease of use. Nutshell has been easy to use from day one. Reports are easy to run and Leads are easy to create and close/Win. It's easy to sort through many contacts and groups and the onboarding process was fantastic. My employer moved from an in-house CRM to Nutshell earlier this year. The transition team was supportive and helpful. No question was out of the question. We felt comfortable getting to know the program. The trial provided before our decision purchase was perfect, and all the items we added during the trial carried over into the live program.

#### Cons

My only complaint is that sometimes features change. This seems to be announced beforehand, and feedback is requested afterward. But I do wish some changes were optional rather than mandatory.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

Ease of use the biggest seller. And the cost.

Overall, my experience with Nutshell has been very positive. It's easy to learn, user-friendly, and helps keep contacts, leads, and sales activities organized. The platform simplifies day-to-day CRM tasks and makes it easy to track progress. While I'd like to see more advanced features and customization options, it's a reliable and efficient CRM that works well for managing customer relationships.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Easy to use! It has features that simplify day-to-day CRM tasks, making it easy to manage contacts, track leads, and monitor sales pipelines. The interface is intuitive, so it's quick to find what you need, and the automation and reporting tools help save time and keep everything organized. Overall, it makes staying on top of customer relationships and sales activities much more efficient.

#### Cons

It could have more built-in features and customization options to support a wider range of workflows. While it covers the essentials well, adding more advanced functionality and integrations would make it even more versatile as business needs grow.

### Best bang for your buck CRM for small businesses!

I chose Nutshell after exploring more than a dozen CRM platforms when HubSpot priced me out of their market. Nutshell was the only platform that provided me with all the features I needed, without the bloat, at a price point that seemed too good to be true. Setup and implementation were simple, and it has become an integral part of my sales and contact management workflow. Nutshell is also committed to improving the platform with new features, a better UI, and excellent customer support. Whenever I have an issue, they respond promptly and work until the issue is resolved. But I rarely have a problem with it. It's fantastic.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I love that it has all the features my small business needs without the exorbitant price tag of platforms like HubSpot. More importantly, I'm not stuck paying for extra features and functionality that I don't need.

#### Cons

Limited options to use Zapier to create automations across software tools. I would love to see them expose more of the fields and functions of Nutshell so that I can build more useful automations to support my workflow.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

Best mix of features (that I needed) and price.

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

Hubspot was too expensive and bloated with features I didn't need.

Smooth and simple. The company behind Nutshell is nothing but helpful and accommodating. They have really helped us through set up or bugs encountered. They will even go as far as helping you with imports through there White Glove Service for those who are still learning technology meaning switching is as easy as possible.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

As an entry level CRM for small business. Nutshell has helped me during my entire career and to grow in my position.

#### Cons

As they are a smaller company. Features and Quality of Life updates can take time especially when newer bigger updates are added.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

At the time, Hubspot was too expensive and not worth the price. Nutshell had very manageable and personalized structures to make sure we could take it on and grow.

We've been using Nutshell for 4.5 years, and it's been pivotal in growing our business and connecting with our customers.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

There is quite a bit of customization with Nutshell and it serves very well as a platform for goods/retail services. Personally I like the ability to do Marketing and drip campaigns within the system, as well as making/logging calls within the system.

#### Cons

Unfortunately for my team, Nutshell is geared more towards products than services. We've had several custom requests or ideas come up over the year that Nutshell can't/hasn't put in, so we're forced to either shelf the idea or come up with a substitute.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

Price and the status of our company at the time we were in need of a new CRM.

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

Needed an easier way to run reports, and we had a desire to communicate with our customers inside a CRM instead of copy-pasting emails and calls into the Notes/Timeline.

Nutshell unlike other CRMs brings direct returns. Our Sales staff were able to hit the ground running very quickly. Too many other products require less technical people to become more savvy and that causes resistance, and slow uptake. Nutshell, Just works, and the users "get it"

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Nutshell has a very user friendly and intuitive user interface. The API gives access to numerous data points to aid in Process Integration I especially like the feed back on Emails sent through the system. way more useful than basic Non-Delivery reports

#### Cons

I would like to see an additional API for the marketing section. this would make it much easier to automate customer contact feedback

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

Salesforce was too confusing for our sales force. Ironically, Salesforce is not for a salesforce, more like "tech force"

#### Cons

Nutshell is very simple, which can be frustrating. There are time we want it to do things like creating different outcomes in the lead stages, but it can't do that for us.

FAR exceeded our expectations coming over from ACT that we had used for 20 years. We can't say enough how much we enjoy working with, and benefit from using, Nutshell.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5

#### Pros

Where to start: 1. Database filtering is awesome 2. Emarketing tools are easy to use 3. Marketing metrics capture is very helpful 4. Customer support is outstanding, whether same day online chat, or easily setting up a video call back

#### Cons

1. Some of the canned reports could have broader functionality 2. Would like to see an ability to create custom reports. All of the data is there, but extracting it in a customizable, meaningful report format is lacking.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

Primarily due to the email marketing capabilities and metric tracking.

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

ACT sucked. Our entire team was frustrated with using it. Nutshell was recommended to us by one of our principals.

#### Cons

Its frequent GUI changes causes confusion from time to time with our older employees. They do adjust, but it is tiring finding the same button you taught them how to use last week.

### Useful CRM

We use Nutshell extensively for managing customer interactions, maintaining a presence with our customer base and automating certain outreach processes. We could use some more flexibility with how the software works.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Nutshell does a good job of organizing and maintaining full records of interactions, conversations, emails, and notes with our customers. The relationship of Person to Company to Lead is useful. The communication tools for reaching out to customers directly from Nutshell are also very good. The commitment to an available REST API is essential for our use and something I really appreciate and respect about Nutshell.

#### Cons

There is limited flexibility in some of the features of Nutshell. For example in the automations, it is limited as to what can be used to trigger the next step or to trigger an automatic email/communication. I wish that leads could function more completely as orders in and of themselves, with the ability to include percentage based line items such as sales tax or apply discounts to all of the products on a lead. I would like to see more flexibility in general to reflect how different businesses might operate.

My overall experience with Nutshell has been very positive. It has given our team much better visibility into our contacts, communications, and pipeline, which has made our day-to-day work more organized and intentional. The reporting tools have been especially helpful for our marketing efforts. We are able to review the data, adjust our messaging based on what we are seeing, and make more informed decisions about where to focus our efforts. As a result, we have seen an increase in project volume and a clearer understanding of what is working.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I love that Nutshell keeps a complete comms history for every contact. It's helpful to see the history, as well as keep tabs on when emails are viewed. The customizable pipelines keep my leads organized.

#### Cons

The inbox function can be glitchy by getting caught in a refresh cycle. It also doesn't offer a bulk delete function, so there's a lot of junk alongside my important emails.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

Nutshell has email history for contacts.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

Our management company started using this software back in February 2024. The goal of the system fpr us was to track and identify sources of new leads and monetary value of every single one of them. The system guarantees security in its overall everyday task and it provides great customer support if something is not clear. Client accounts are arranged based on what we prefer, date in first approach, properties, etc. Overall I would say that thanks to its email management and contact management, its gives value for money spent.

#### Cons

Sometimes the system creates duplicates, and it makes my job a little confusing as I need to redirect the lead.

Overall, we’ve been very happy with Nutshell. It’s easy to use, widely adopted by our sales team, and supports consistent execution without unnecessary complexity. The platform does exactly what we need it to do and provides strong value for the business.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Nutshell is easy to use, quick to adopt, and well suited for teams that want a CRM to support selling rather than become a project to manage. Pipelines are clear and customizable, activity tracking is straightforward, and managers get solid visibility into performance without heavy reporting or admin work.

#### Cons

Because Nutshell is intentionally simple, it may not offer the depth of customization or advanced reporting found in larger enterprise CRMs. Organizations with highly complex workflows or heavy automation requirements may eventually outgrow it, even though that same simplicity is what makes it effective for day-to-day sales execution.

Very good. First time using a CRM and this one has been simple to learn and easy to navigate. I like the customizable dashboard.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love the duplicate feature to prevent the same client being entered. I also like to divide the clients by state and leads won.

#### Cons

I do not have any dislikes with the program, but it does seem to lag after a contact is recorded. It can take several minutes.
