## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.4/5
- Total reviews: 623

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.4/5
- Customer support: 4.4/5
- Value for money: 4.4/5
- Functionality: 4.1/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 320 reviews (51%)
- 4 stars: 229 reviews (37%)
- 3 stars: 59 reviews (9%)
- 2 stars: 11 reviews (2%)
- 1 star: 4 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- I like the dashboard features and that I can choose what I want on my own dashboard vs our old program where admins all had the same sign in information and the sales manager decided what was going to be displayed on the dashboard.
- It keeps your team organized, helps close more deals, and offers solid support. If you need enterprise-grade reporting or extreme customization, you might find it lacks a bit—but that’s a trade-off for its sleek, streamlined usability.
- No fancy bells and whistles; if you want to track leads and manage prospects in a simple, straightforward way, Nutshell is what you need.

### Most mentioned cons

- The help desk (AI and human), along with the training videos were so poor that it made it difficult to determine the many things that were manual (instead of automated), making usability very poor.
- Because Nutshell is intentionally simple, it may not offer the depth of customization or advanced reporting found in larger enterprise CRMs.
- We are somehow bothered by how data redundancy is approached, detected or managed especially when you are uploading by batch- it is tough.

Overall, my experience with Nutshell has been very positive. It's easy to learn, user-friendly, and helps keep contacts, leads, and sales activities organized. The platform simplifies day-to-day CRM tasks and makes it easy to track progress. While I'd like to see more advanced features and customization options, it's a reliable and efficient CRM that works well for managing customer relationships.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Easy to use! It has features that simplify day-to-day CRM tasks, making it easy to manage contacts, track leads, and monitor sales pipelines. The interface is intuitive, so it's quick to find what you need, and the automation and reporting tools help save time and keep everything organized. Overall, it makes staying on top of customer relationships and sales activities much more efficient.

#### Cons

It could have more built-in features and customization options to support a wider range of workflows. While it covers the essentials well, adding more advanced functionality and integrations would make it even more versatile as business needs grow.

### Nutshell is a hidden gem in the CRM space

- Overall rating: 5/5
- Reviewer: Jeff B.
- Verified reviewer: Yes
- Industry: Human Resources
- Company size: 11-50 employees
- Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years
- Reviewed: December 2025

My overall experience with Nutshell CRM has been excellent. It’s genuinely easy to use, which means I spend less time clicking around and more time selling. The interface is clean, modern, and intuitive, and I can see exactly where deals sit in the pipeline at a glance. Forecasting feels straightforward, not like a separate project, and the visibility it gives my team into next steps and momentum is a big win. It doesn’t feel bloated or overly complex, yet it covers what most teams actually need day to day. Honestly, it’s a hidden gem.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I like best about Nutshell CRM is how easy it is to use. The UI is clean and intuitive, and it gives me great visibility into my pipeline and forecast without feeling cluttered or complicated. Overall, it’s definitely a hidden gem for teams that want clarity and speed without a big learning curve.

#### Cons

What I liked least about Nutshell CRM is that it can feel a bit limited when you’re looking for deeper customization or more advanced, enterprise-style reporting. Some workflows and fields don’t always flex as much as you’d want if you’re trying to match a very specific sales process. A few features may require workarounds or integrations rather than being built in the exact way you expect. Also, if your team is coming from a bigger CRM, there can be a short adjustment period where certain options you’re used to aren’t in the same place or aren’t as robust. Still, the simplicity is usually worth it.

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

I switched from HubSpot to Nutshell because I wanted a CRM that felt simpler and more focused on sales execution. HubSpot is powerful, but for my day to day use it felt heavier than it needed to be and sometimes slowed the team down. Nutshell gave me a cleaner UI, faster workflow, and clearer visibility into pipeline and forecasting without all the extra complexity. It also felt like better value for what I actually needed, and adoption was easier because the learning curve was minimal.

Nutshell unlike other CRMs brings direct returns. Our Sales staff were able to hit the ground running very quickly. Too many other products require less technical people to become more savvy and that causes resistance, and slow uptake. Nutshell, Just works, and the users "get it"

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Nutshell has a very user friendly and intuitive user interface. The API gives access to numerous data points to aid in Process Integration I especially like the feed back on Emails sent through the system. way more useful than basic Non-Delivery reports

#### Cons

I would like to see an additional API for the marketing section. this would make it much easier to automate customer contact feedback

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

Salesforce was too confusing for our sales force. Ironically, Salesforce is not for a salesforce, more like "tech force"

### Admissions Consultant Nutshell Review

- Overall rating: 4/5
- Reviewer: Sibusiso M.
- Verified reviewer: Yes
- Industry: Education Management
- Company size: 51-200 employees
- Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years
- Reviewed: December 2025
- Review source details: This reviewer was invited by the software vendor to submit an honest review.

Overall, my experience with Nutshell has been positive. It’s a reliable CRM that supports day-to-day admissions and sales activities effectively. With some improvements around automation and reporting, it has the potential to be an even stronger tool for admissions consultants working in fast-paced, target-driven environments.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I liked most about Nutshell is how intuitive and user-friendly the platform is. It makes it easy to manage leads, track communication, and stay organised throughout the admissions and follow-up process. The clear pipeline view and activity tracking help ensure that no prospective student is missed, which supports both productivity and conversion goals.

#### Cons

One challenge is that some processes could be more streamlined or automated, especially when handling high lead volumes. Certain actions require multiple steps, which can slow down workflow during peak periods. Additional automation and customization options would improve efficiency. Also the mobile version is very non-user friendly.

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

Change of Roles and switch to a new organisation.

I'm very happy with Nutshell. It's affordable, easy to use, and the customer support is great. It seems like they're constantly investing in themselves, too.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

Nutshell is very easy to use. It's easy for people to learn, and it's easy to self-navigate. Creating email templates is quick, too. It's also very affordable.

#### Cons

Nutshell is very simple, which can be frustrating. There are time we want it to do things like creating different outcomes in the lead stages, but it can't do that for us.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

Primarily cost, plus there is a steeper learning curve with Salesforce

FAR exceeded our expectations coming over from ACT that we had used for 20 years. We can't say enough how much we enjoy working with, and benefit from using, Nutshell.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Where to start: 1. Database filtering is awesome 2. Emarketing tools are easy to use 3. Marketing metrics capture is very helpful 4. Customer support is outstanding, whether same day online chat, or easily setting up a video call back

#### Cons

1. Some of the canned reports could have broader functionality 2. Would like to see an ability to create custom reports. All of the data is there, but extracting it in a customizable, meaningful report format is lacking.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

Primarily due to the email marketing capabilities and metric tracking.

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

ACT sucked. Our entire team was frustrated with using it. Nutshell was recommended to us by one of our principals.

#### Cons

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

How robust the CRM is and the fact it connects with WebFX services

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

Overall, Nutshell provides a great product at a very reasonable price. Nothing but good things to say about this tool.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Coming from Salesforce, the ease of use and plug and play aspect of this CRM is a breath of fresh air. It has made our lead management and sales funnel a breeze. Anytime we have approached their team with an issue its always a solutions first upsell never type of approach.

#### Cons

Its frequent GUI changes causes confusion from time to time with our older employees. They do adjust, but it is tiring finding the same button you taught them how to use last week.

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

The pricing was too high for the product we received.

### Transparency is KEY

So far, it's been pretty self-explanatory with any data entry I have done. I have sent a few emails through the templates I created and it literally took seconds vs minutes it would've taken me previously. I love the transparency that is seen by admins/management/sales people and that we all have access to see the same things

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I like the transparency it provides for sales people, management, and admin. I like the dashboard features and that I can choose what I want on my own dashboard vs our old program where admins all had the same sign in information and the sales manager decided what was going to be displayed on the dashboard. I like that I have easier access to hot/open leads without looking up a specific name or address. I love the text/email feature where I was able to set up specific email templates that I can send to whichever customer needs to have one sent within seconds and a couple clicks.

#### Cons

The only thing that I've really come across so far is just the repetitive data entry information if you don't enter in the correct order. For example: If I enter a customer as a lead before I enter them as a person, their data (address, phone number, email, etc) does not pull over. Whereas if I enter them as a person first and then click create lead, it pulls all the data over. We figured that out pretty early during our integration, so we just make sure we put the person in first, then create the lead.

#### Reasons for switching to Nutshell

I believe to have more transparency between multiple positions within the company and to have data easier to find when looking something/someone up and also when entering data into the system. We are all also able to see the same things whereas previously, we all had different levels of access to customer information and past sales information

### Great for organizing and keeping up with people for your business.

- Overall rating: 4/5
- Reviewer: Kelsey H.
- Verified reviewer: Yes

- Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years
- Reviewed: December 2025

If it wasn't for Nutshell, I would have to keep a separate document to keep tabs on hundreds of people at a time, continuously searching my email to see if the person responded or if I still hadn't responded yet, having a separate calendar just for reminders to follow up with people after a certain amount of time, etc. However, with Nutshell, that is for the most part automated and all in one place- not to mention having email templates ready to go that plug and play with names and other saved details! It saves me hours in my workday. I can just start doing the task I am supposed to because the list is there ready to go.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The non profit I work for uses this software to have one place to track and follow up with people that are interested in knowing more about what we do (that hopefully leads to working with us). Once you understand what features are there, it is very easy to use. I am on and off Nutshell all day, and have to teach other teammates how to use it sometimes. The automations make it easy to communicate with your network once a new person drops into your pipeline. That takes one thing off of my plate, but still leaves a personal touch with the person on the other side of the email/text. Setting reminders (aka activities) keeps me on task without having to backtrack to figure out what my next step is. You just keep moving forward! And customer support is nice because if I have a FAQ, then the chat bot can answer it. The bot starts off by saying if you want to talk with a real person then say that and we will get you connected, so there is no waiting and being frustrated with a robot.

#### Cons

The hard part of Nutshell is the same as any tech related thing. You have to figure out the different features. Nutshell provides support and trainings that give you an overview of how to use it as well as updated trainings when a new feature is added. So, once you learn the new feature, you are able to integrate it into making your job easier.

#### Pros

It has been excellent for organizing and centralizing all client communication in one plac; pipelines are flexible and work well beyond traditional sales tracking.

Nutshell CRM seems like a good software offering Security, Value for Money, good Customer Support, Email Management, Lead Management, Client Accounts, Sales Pipeline.

#### Cons

I had issues moving my information from Pipedrive to Nutshell CRM. But it looks like a good platform for CRM with a few more features than Pipedrive CRM.

#### Pros

I like how all customers, contacts, and leads are connected. Great integration with outlook.

#### Cons

I wish the mobile app was more friendly. Seems buggy at times. Really wish the mapping feature was more robust so I could better identify customers/prospects that I have entered while I am on the road. It is also cumbersome to add a new customer, notes, and contacts while using the mobile app. I always take notes in my phone on the iphone notes app and then go through those notes and enter when i am on my laptop. ****I really wish I didn't have to download pictures to view them once they have been uploaded!!!! makes no sense!

#### Vendor response

Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Nick! We're glad you're enjoying Nutshell's Outlook integration and are finding it useful to have all your data connected. I also appreciate your feedback about our mobile app. The good news is that we have scheduled updates and improvements for the mobile app this year, so stay tuned for when those launch! All the best, Jewell from Nutshell

Love it and highly recommend. The design is easy on the eye and intuitive, packed with tons of features and great analytics. They recently built out a suit of new features for prospecting, sales and customer service and they keep adding stuff to it.

#### Pros

Nutshell is a powerful and easy to use solution. It's super quick and easy to set up and use. It has all the CRM features our business needs and is a perfect solution for everything we wanted when we set out to evaluate different options. It's also 100% reliable and offers good and fast customer service. Their marketing and analytics features are great and easy to use and we dropped our newsletter service and moved everything over. In the last year or so they added a ton of new features that we're considering - SMS, AI, invoicing, chat agents, and IG/FB/WhatsApp integration. Extraordinarily high value for the price and a perfect solution for our business.

#### Cons

I wish it was slightly more integrated with our email so we don't need to manage 100% of it in a separate window. It's easy when my assistant does it, but me manually updating all the leads is time consuming.

#### Reasons for choosing Nutshell

Most reliable and most intuitive; price was great for the solution offered.
