Great CRM for a small business

PROS

As a fairly small organisation, we find Open CRM easy to use with a handful of users. The support team are excellent when we run into any difficulties and is quick to help. I have used a range of CRMs in the past at previous organisations, some 4x the price of Open CRM but I haven't found them to be as effective or user friendly as Open CRM.

CONS

The reporting is a bit confusing and could do with being made simipliar.

Easy to customise

OpenCRM is a fantastic mid-market CRM system, complete with helpdesk, invoicing, quoting, opportunity tracking, lead tracking, project tracking and email campaign functionality. It is certainly great value for money and the team really do care and want to assist you to get the most out of it.

PROS

OpenCRM is incredibly easy to use and customise from views, to layouts to templates to workflows. The FAQ articles and support from the team at OpenCRM is fantastic. The product itself is continually developing and each feature enhancement makes it better and better.

CONS

OpenCRM doesn't integrate amazingly well with other technologies, but it is getting their with the new Office 365 integration, Xero/Sage integration, Clicdata for dashboards, zapier for other integrations. It's a genuine work in progress. but the team are always willing to help. And the jotform integration for webforms was really stable.

Review on OPEN CRM

Its the first CRM I have worked with, It seems it has lots of feature I don't use or don't know about, but knowing about them would be handy. The UI feels dated and had to use/see where to go.

PROS

I like the templating of products. So I can group products into a single product so when I add to a quote it adds the whole list. However, I wish these were easier to change. I also like how everything links e.g lead, contact, company, opportunity, and quote.

CONS

Not being able to auto update quote with either the current exchange rate or with the updated prices of the products. Plus if there was an update button it would help any time a minor change is made to a product.

Great CRM software

Brilliant company to work with, with friendly supportive technical team. I've always found them a pleasure to work with and they are happy to investigate work around to any challenges we throw at them.

PROS

Really good for general customer management and sales tasks, with brilliant report features.

CONS

We are a training company and the event module can be a bit repetitive at times and clunky around the edges. It has got better and we have had some development work done to help meet our needs.

Improve efficiency of busness

Very helpful. Online chat sorts out most queries we have.

PROS

This software has enabled us to much more efficient and increase productivity. Particularly like quote generation which now is much more streamlined.

CONS

After using the same CRM software for over 12 years it was a little hard to begin with and we are still learning all the time. However, it was very easy to implement and has been worth it.

Reasons for switching to OpenCRM

Found ACT to be less efficient over time and did not work well with Outlook which caused diary issues with the number of video calls we had during Lock down.

A really good platform to have. Fits perfect for our accounts team and sales department.

A really good platform, its brilliant for all areas of the business. Brilliant for reports too. Our sales team and accounts team, admin team all use this and its really helped stream line everything into one place. Some improvements need to be done, advice line, quicker response, regular training, making sure businesses are using the full capacity of the platform.

PROS

Easy to use and the views are clear. We use this across our department and this gives us full view of companies from when we first contact them to when they become a client and continue the journey with the client.

CONS

The right pop section/ for the messenger, sometimes this gets in the way, when emails or reminders come through, as would better on the left side or a little higher up. Sometimes the system doesn't always quickly pick up duplications when searching as it's quite sensitive.Also a customer service advice line or a designated advisor would help when you do have an issues, as sometimes we don't get a answer straight away.

We needed more of a visible platform for all departments as the company grew.this works for all areas of the company, great for report building and storing the data.

Brilliant Software

The experience of working with OpenCRM has been exceptional for us as a developing recruitment business. It is simple to use for beginners and the Customer Portal where we upload documents is great.

PROS

The OpenCRM team were friendly and adaptable to make this software exactly how we required it for our business needs. It's functionality and user friendly interface mean we can carry out our tasks and invoicing with minimal fuss.

CONS

It would be useful if Customer Portal Documents could appear alphabetically.

oCRM Review

We are able to easily store large amounts of customer data in an easy to use format for the whole company. This can then be used by sales/support/marketing as required without the need for multiple databases.

PROS

Ease of use when tracking customer details/projects. Levels of customisation we are able to add in to tweak processes to match existing external processes.

CONS

The lack of automation. We do not use the software for quoting due to the uniqueness of our quotes (no two are the same), so this aspect could be improved.

CRM Review

This is the first CRM I have ever used and have enjoyed my experience with it.

PROS

What I like the most of CRM is how friendly and easy to use.

CONS

It would be interested if we could customize our own home page with the tabs we most need and the color.

A positive piece of kit!

PROS

I like the layout the most - really easy to work around and very user friendly. Never had any issues with the speed or quality of the service - CRM does exactly what you need it to do when you need it to do it! Would definitely recommend.

CONS

I think the lack of user understanding into the full features that CRM offers is something that could be worked upon. We had a session with a CRM trainer to teach us some hidden features we were not aware of. Appreciate that we were able to find this out, but a more proactive attempt by CRM to demonstrate these functionalities would be appreciated.

OpenCRM User Review

Very user friendly and is leaps and bounds ahead of our previous CRM solution (ACT) It has streamlined our maintenance renewals process and allows us to accurately track man hours vs the cost of our maintenance contracts. From this we can work out profit/loss.

PROS

Easy to navigate and very user friendly. The best feature for me is that all emails to/from clients are automatically attached to the relevant account.

CONS

When using Chrome, on occasion, if you press "back" on the webpage, you get a "confirm resubmission" error message

Open CRM - An excellent application for procurement

It has been a very easy to use product for someone who is new to the system to the same user of this product for over 2 years now. Discovering new functions and the many reports that are available makes for a productive work day, whilst not seeming overly complicated.

PROS

My day to day use of OpenCRM is always positive. My favourite feature of OpenCRM is its usability and the ease from following all of the related stages of a customer enquiry, starting from adding on a customer's enquiry to the final purchase order. OpenCRM makes it easy by tying together everything related to the company that is requesting goods in order to make the sales process smooth.

CONS

Sometimes there can be some slight network issues and pages can appear to load rather slowly.

Excellent value software

Was able to introduce quickly (over the Christmas Break) some years ago and haven't seen anything better since.

PROS

Straightforward. The basic CRM was simple for the team to pick up on. Logical installation. Good value.

CONS

Would originally liked to have been able to have complex quotes that we could easily personalise from fields within openCRM. Sometimes people have had some oddities where you think you have given people the same functionality and security but they don't completely match and people don't receive all they should. Sometimes there are too many ways in which you can do things and it is dificult to get all to follow the same route-more a management issue!

Best value, and could implement myself over a holiday period.

OpenCRM improvements review

We use OpenCRM for workflow management, and also use the customer database to contact customer whenever needed. Overall, we're very satisfied in using the software as it is easy to use and does the job. There are always areas we can improve to make the software better by optimizing the information. Overall i'll give 4.5 /5

PROS

OpenCRM is fairly easy to use and also to train people on how to use them.Finding the information that we need is fairly easy, but things can definitely be laid out a little better.

CONS

- Don't like the fact that every time that we search in the search box we have to scroll down to check for the information we're after rather than coming at the top.- The button for new and save for activities, it doesn't save the information and we have to create it again. It doesn't save the new activity and just takes you back to the ticket which makes you create the activity again.

Great OCRM option for SMEs

Internally we have improved our workflows.

PROS

The support is phenomenal. The best support I have with any business software. The support team are personably and feel like an extension of our own business. The ability to integrate with Jotform.

CONS

The reports - the lack of ability to design the page and also options to total fields by month etc.

Inexpensive yet excellent CRM system.

Relatively simple to use, support on hand when needed. Most tasks are simple once you have read guides or asked for support. Order input can be a bit slow but suspect this could be made easier with a few tweeks

PROS

Very easy to set up, simple to modify. Does everything you may need and intergrates with other accountancy systems etc. Very handy mobile app

CONS

Although most areas are simple we are yet to get to grips with mail campaigns and importing files csv for orders. Would be good if the mobile app did more.

Great system and great value for money

This is the second time i have now introduced Open CRM to a company. Both companies i have brought this system in to have found that it works so well.

PROS

I like how customisable the system is! Our company records information in different ways so being able to adapt the system easily is a key feature

CONS

the only thing i do not like about the system is the colour. It is not always the easiest colours to work with

Overall a good experience.

PROS

Easy to navigate, it would be nice if it looked and was branded more to match our corporate style.

CONS

The support team often talk to you in a technical way assuming you understand the system as well as they do. The email creator could be more pictorial like Canva/stripo without the need to import source coding.

Useful Sales Tool

PROS

Like that you can have multiple screens signed in on same account so you can access date - quote duplication is also handy.

CONS

I do not like that you cannot have the same contact in multiple client sites and that when you change the client name in a quote it wipes out the shipping address as many clients have different sites so frustrating having to retype this in rather than utilise the duplication function.

Great for managing and reporting on contracts

Using OpenCRM is great when not everyone is together in the same office, as all contract information is in real time.

PROS

Easy to set up and understand the groups of data and use of functions required for our business. Still learning of new functions and quick fixes to record and issue information to other users.

CONS

Having to trial and error reports to identify the format for reporting and sharing data which was right for our business needs.

It is user friendly, easy to access, easy to store data.

CONS

Sometimes we had faced an unexpected error, so we were unable to access CRM for sometime and that has been rectified after contacting the customer care.

It's simple and gets the job done. Quite self-explanatory.

CONS

Reports are difficult to set up initially. Training has not been offered for new users.

Very fast loading and response, precise, clear and rarely experience any admin/operational issues and never unplanned downtime. Great support to managing multiple data and data base.

flexible spelling look up features to allow for mis types or unsure name ; predictive or optional answer look up features
