SharpSpring is a fully integrated cloud-based marketing tool that offers customer relationship management, marketing automation, mobile and social marketing, sales team automation, customer service and more, all within one solution.

SharpSpring can interface with any CRM on the market, so users are able to keep their existing CRM and the information contained within it. The system’s lead nurturing and scoring tools can track an individual lead’s page visits, demographics, and engagement. SharpSpring’s VisitorID feature helps identify anonymous site visitors by looking up their IP addresses, allowing users to see who is viewing their site, including their name and contact information. Other features include a Landing Page Builder and a Blog Builder. SharpSpring also offers a library of designs and templates for the user to chose from.

SharpSpring can be utilized by both small and large businesses in a variety of industries including advertising, insurance, engineering, telecommunications and more.

Easy to use yet very effective automation platform

Overall, we are happy using this platform as one of the platform for marketing automation. It's a big time-saver with well managed and implemented automation functions/features.

Pros

This product we first got as a package from the agency that are providing us with marketing automation services. Since then, we started using it on a daily base and there hasn't been a single requirement from us that couldn't be satisfied with this tool automation-wise. Indeed, it's quite a hardworking thing to get used to it in the beginning, setting up the campaign, etc. though it's totally worth it. Now it is fully used for marketing and leads generation. Overall, we are happy with the performance.

Cons

As I mentioned above, the platform is quite overloaded with lots of functions, that might sometimes be confusing and not that easy to learn how to use them. A bit of more filtering of the functions in the user interface would be more useful. However, all of the features/functions are super useful once you know how to use them.

Some good, some bad

As I said, the customer data and lead scoring are definitely helpful tools and not something we had previously. I would recommend it for that with all the other caveats in place. It depends what you are trying to accomplish.

Pros

Good tool for collecting customer data. Provides scoring options so you can rate your leads and contacts. Email customization and a/b testing tools are helpful.

Cons

Creating emails is not easy and formatting options are limited. Biggest drawback is that the emails are not compatible with Outlook. We are b-to-b and most of our customers use Outlook so this is a problem. The emails work, the formatting just gets very messed up and that is frustrating. Finally, the model is that all support is provided through your agency so even for very simple questions, there is no one you can call or chat/text with. I didn't know that was the case when we went with SharpSpring and that would have been a major factor in our decision.

New to SharpSpring but loving it so far

Pros

- Customer Support and Onboarding Help
- Quick responses from Dev Group when recommending new features
- Great way to track customers and sales
- Awesome for marketing automation
- Gives you control and a lot of insights
- Helped me get rid of a few different softwares I was paying monthly to do different tasks

Cons

- Doesn't have an overarching "Campaign planner" like I really want in one of these softwares, but I couldn't find something like that anywhere
- They are newer, so are still working on improving some of their features, like their email editor and including Instagram in social posting

A little on the complicated side!

My overall experience has been ok. Ease of use is a HUGE deal for me.

Pros

The main pros about this software, is all the features that it offers. I think in a marketing perspective it does offer many extra tools that can be important.

Cons

The cons is usability. Honestly guys, this software overall is hard to use. It doesn't offer many features for newsletters and landing pages and it requires knowledge of code to get something to look exactly how you want it to.

Designing forms and pages is quite clunky and limited.

Pros

I believe the automation works well, and I like the reminders and progress reports. I am just the designer.

Cons

Design options are limited and the interface is clunky. No interface to include PayPal or other payment options. Forms interface for Wordpress sites is limited to just one provider.

Complete package for a reasonable price.

Pros

As a marketing agency we work on a daily base with the Sharpspring Automation software and we use it for our own marketing as to drive leads for our clients. What I definitly like is that Sharpspring has a great support team friendly and always willing to help. The learning curve is quite steep in the beginning but when you get the hang of it is easy to use. The company keeps adding new features to the software. They also really listen to their users concerning feature requests and issue's. Overall I'm more than happy with Sharpspring Marketing Automation.

Cons

In my opinion the email builder is not what it can be but Sharpspring is still developing this feature and it keeps getting better.

great software but wasn't ideal for our business

Was not for me but I can see where the need is for this type of application.

Pros

The pricing structure is ideal. integrates with a lot of major CRM platforms and other business applications so it's easy to get fitted into your work structure. The marketing automation features are gold.

Cons

The program will glitch often so if you're doing small tasks like sending external emails, there's a chance it won't go through so it's good to run small tasks like that off the application if the emails are important. Customer service is difficult to get a hold of.

Pros

Powerful and highly-customizable marketing automation with great tracking mechanisms for positive visitor identification. Tracking visitors is amazing, including correspondence. See the SharpSpring site and request a demo, whether an end-user or digital agency. (We are both.) Not only on par or superior to competitors, SharpSpring is FAR less costly than the other guys.

Cons

A steep learning curve that is, perhaps, not quite as intuitive as it could be. Genuinely good people so far, from sales, to onboarding, to support. Good systems for support, though they could be better, especially given the sophistication of the marketing automation software.

Sharpspring meets all of our needs

Pros

It's incredibly flexible and meets all of our crm and marketing automation needs. Its also the perfect price point for SMB's.

Cons

The only area that can be improved has to do with their marketing automation. They have some great email templates but I wish there were a few more.

Pros

disappointed! I cannot say any positive things since for me the system does not work, e.g. we cannot add emails.

Cons

Very disappointing: I added emails to our newsletter list and always got message "successful added". But checking at the history I learned a year later that there were errors in our CSV so the emails were not added. I checked with customer service and they said our CSV list was ok so the complete system does not work. I am frustrated!

Great value for a range of needs

Pros

The price and value. We are able to use the same software for all of our clients, who have a range of needs and budgets. Pretty much anything we would want to be able to do with a marketing automation platform, we are able to do with SharpSpring. Customer service is always extremely willing to help.

Cons

Sometimes the roll out of new features can be a bit glitchy and there is definitely a learning curve.
It really helps to know HTML. This solution is not the most cutting edge of all its competitors; for example, the personas option came well after competitors had already implemented it. So, that might be a problem for real early adopters, but it has not hindered our work.

Good software, the support is ok but needs improvement

The software has a lot of options, and is easy to use. We were able to test new features easily.

Pros

The software is easy to use and does a good job. The prices are reasonable and they have lots of options included.

Cons

Their customer support team is young and doesn't know some of the more technical details. It takes several tries to get a solid answer.

Fantastic Marketing Automation Tool

Pros

The real-time sales alerts and sales reporting features are phenomenal and relatively easy to set up and use.

Cons

This software is on the pricey end comparatively, but if you compare features head to head, it is a good value.

My choice for business development

Pros

SharpSpring combines all of the things I want without complicating my processes with the stuff I don’t need. And it connects and complements the right activities together in one platform that seamlessly fits into my business development approach. SharpSpring, like any of the popular systems, isn’t a replacement for smart business development. It’s a tool to make you smarter and more successful. It represents the best of Salesforce, Hubspot, Leadlander, Campaign Monitor, Social platforms, Google analytics, Post-it Notes and everything else, with a simple, easy to use interface that I call marketing magic. For less than a car payment, it has cleaned up my desk, made me better organized and put me in the driver’s seat of new business.

Cons

That I didn't discover SharpSpring sooner. What I wouldn't do to get back all the wasted time I spent trying to get the other top name systems to do what I want as easily and intuitively as this product.

Unrivaled Contact Management System

Pros

SharpSpring has revolutionized the way we archive and communicate with our clients. We keep records of each person and their online activity. We deploy emails to promote our business and stay in touch with the needs of our customers. The interface is intuitive, clean, and multifaceted.

Cons

The email building tool can be a challenge to figure out at first, but easily used when you understand the basics.

SharpSpring was great for a while.

SharpSpring is worth using in general for smaller companies.

Pros

Early on, SharpSpring was great. It was efficient and fast, and the price was very fair//competitive.

Cons

Unfortunately, being publicly traded leaves the shareholders in charge of the company. This can lead to quick price changes and odd business strategies.

I use daily to create, edit and send emails to distribution lists, and then post to social media.

Pros

It is incredibly simple and intuitive to edit a current template, copy to another version and modify, or even to create a template; adding distribution lists is fast and easy, sending is easy, and integration with SalesForce is great.

Cons

The templates provided for quick, custom emails are nice, but it is hard to customize them - there are limited options as to how to add text, edit a box to add an image/copy, etc. - it would be better if these were more modifiable and much easier than starting new template designs from scratch with code for users not fluent in html.

Useless and will take you if you want to cancel

Pros

It was an average product. Very difficult to integrate with anything else. They really need to work on integration with other platforms. This was a huge problem.

Cons

BILLING COMPLETELY DECEPTIVE. THEY WONT LET YOU OFF THE HOOK IF THE PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU. WHO DOES THAT? THIS IS A SOFTWARE - ANY OTHER COMPANY WILL LET YOU CANCEL. NOT SHARPSPRING! THEY WANT TO CHARGE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 60 DAYS!!!!
RIDICULOUS - DO NOT PURCHASE!
