SmartFunnel is a cloud-hosted Sales Engagement solution. Its architecture distributes most user functions to the client system, removing web latency delays. Contact email chains and Notes are captured, creating interaction histories. Notes with due dates feed into a My Week summary of Reminders. Lead management and Opportunity tracking use “heat maps” of colored badges for progress, to help identify next actions. The user interface provides immediate data updates due to SmartFunnel’s distributed cloud/browser architecture.

 A Playbooks facility enables guided selling approaches for different business lines and revenue generation phases (e.g. lead management, opportunities, and delivery). The customizable Stages and Sub-stages provide insights in a visual progress area, with a “click to advance” Progress control. The custom Playbooks calculate earned value of each opportunity, and feed the funnel value summary.

 For forecasting, SmartFunnel provides key funnel metrics on the Deals front page, based on Playbook predictive models. Added reports include Pipeline (6 months) and Sales Planning (12-36 months).

 SmartFunnel is available on a subscription basis.

Pros

It's cheap and easy to use, they were really helpful and going over everything with me and I decided to try them

Cons

Doesn't offer much more than outlook, doesn't have all the options I was hoping for but it's so cheap, I don't blame them

A CRM designed by Salespeople for Salespeople

I'm in Sales a very long time and this is the most simple, user friendly system I have used. Other systems have seemed like a necessary evil at times to use to do my job, this one definitely makes my day easier. The Customer Service team are so available and helpful, that I sometimes get embarrassed by asking questions as they go over and above what I would expect them to do. In addition, as they have developed this themselves, they have reacted to several suggestions or queries I had regarding the system and made the amendments to the system within a very short space of time.

Pros

It's very logical, its as if someone sat in a Salesperson's seat and consciously designed a very simple system following exactly the chain of events that occur. The interface is very user friendly and the response time is immediate. I also get an email every Sunday with my to do list for the week ahead which is fantastic. I love the simple way that when you're sending an email to a contact, simply bcc SmartFunnel and a copy of the email is attached to the contact.

Cons

There is genuinely very little that I dislike. The only real comment I could make is that if you have multiple contacts in an organisation, the bcc email is attached to the contact and doesn't build up as communication on the organisation page. This just means that to make sure you are aware of the most recent communication with an organisation, and you have to possibly check multiple contacts. I mentioned this to the developers and I believe they're already working on it. Another very minor Con is that when you are inputting a note, you must hit Add and Update, the same with Contacts, you must hit Save and if you just use the Return button, you lose your data. This is not an issue once you get used to using the system.

Smart Funnel for Smart Forecasting

It's a 5 star fit for a sales SWAT team that wants to see where they are going

Pros

It’s light, it’s fast and it’s collaborative, it's potential revenue visibility. First time share with the team generated a “well that’s intuitive” across the board.

Cons

Could use a user group for ongoing discovery of ways to create alternate methods and meaning for the fields provided
