#### Ratings breakdown

What I liked most about Unifocus is how easy it makes scheduling. It takes into account how busy the hotel will be and helps build the schedule around that, so we’re not over or understaffed. The mobile app is also super handy staff can check their shifts, request time off, or swap shifts right from their phones. It just makes managing everything a lot smoother.

#### Cons

it can be a bit slow, especially when too many people are using it at the same time. Also, it takes a bit of time to learn how to use everything properly. it’s not the most beginner-friendly at first. But once you get the hang of it, it gets easier.

It's been a good experience using Unifocus, and I'd say that, especially for a smaller team, it is essential to save time. The user interface was easy to use and the company clearly knows what it's doing.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Unifocus really does cut down on the time needed to do most of our important and mundane tasks throughout the day. The price was pretty reasonable and definitely worth the cost if everyone is using it correctly. With everyone operating at 100% the scheduling, information gathering and content created is exactly what we set out to do.

#### Cons

It really did all it promised to do. The only thing I'd say against it is that sometimes our systems would be sluggish when doing certain tasks, but that may be because we need to update our equipment.

### Unifocus: Insightful, but Clunky at Times

My overall experience with Unifocus has been a mix of strengths and challenges. On the positive side, it’s a powerful tool for workforce management, especially in industries like hospitality and retail where scheduling and labor forecasting are complex. The mobile app is convenient for employees, and managers get strong reporting and insights that help keep labor costs under control.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Unifocus uses historical data, occupancy, events, etc., to predict what staffing needs will be. That helps ensure you're not understaffed or overstaffed. It takes a lot of guesswork out of scheduling.

#### Cons

Time-off approvals sometimes conflict with schedule rules, especially if not carefully checked. So thats bad.

### Unifocus is a Great Application

- Company size: 5001-10000 employees
- Product usage: Used weekly for more than 2 years

Very good and over the course of the years that I have been using it, there have been quite a few updates which have made it easier to use.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I find the most useful features are the attendance management, so tracking when people have called in sick or have been on holiday or going on holiday. The fact that employees can submit holiday request through the app, which streamlines the process and also being able to approve shifts and check when employees have clocked in and out.

#### Cons

The scheduling of employee shifts every month is very time consuming and takes many hours. Although they have features to do automatic examples it does not apply to the business as we have to change shifts very regularly and sometimes last minute.

#### Cons

### Easy breezy

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I have been doing payroll for a team of 20+ for just about 5 years. The UniFocus program is very easy to use. I use it daily and have never come across any major issues. If I am on the go and quickly need to view something, I use the UniFocus app, which is convenient. It tells me who is on shift and allows to me approve requests for time off.

#### Cons

The one thing I don’t like about the UniFocus app is the inability to change the type of time off my employee wants to use. For example, I had an associate input a time off request for 8 hours of personal time, however, they had 0 hours left. On a computer it is easy to swap that to a vacation day or floating holiday, but I cannot complete this function on the app.

### Bring Back Shift View

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 2/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Shift view in the past was an awesome time saver which unfortunately has been removed with the new upgrades, bring it back. Make the setup so it fits on one screen please

#### Cons

Since the upgrade staff and shift do not fit on one screen. BRING BACK SHIFT VIEW, this is how I set up the week, then fill the shift. The upgrade has somehow managed to make this a longer process then it once was. Bring back the binocular view, so I can set a colleague up for the entire week. Old setup was much faster.

#### Vendor response

Thank you for your review and comments. The binocular view is available in the dropdown when you right click on the employee name. You can also add and drop shifts when you select the open shifts field on the day you want to schedule. Please reach out to this reply and I will be most happy to schedule a session to show you the options as they are built in version 10. -Regards Eddie Hartmann prmteam@unifocus.com

Overall, I am very pleased with our experience with Unifocus compared to other scheduling apps. I am happy that we have a scheduling software that works well for what we need it to do, it would just be nice if they could work out to the two things mentioned above.
