When we contacted them about it (and escalated it), they said, Well, we sent you an email about renewing at the new price. They refuse to cancel our service until the "contract" that auto-renewed at a new price expires. It helps you see what others think before you decide to buy or try something. Trustpilot also has ways to spot fake reviews, so you know the feedback you’re reading is more likely to be real. Businesses can respond to reviews too, so they’re held responsible for how they treat customers. For example, a couple of months ago I had a terrible experience with a travel company. I was not having any luck with them. I attempted to post my complaint to BBB, but for some reason they rejected my complaint. I tried again and they said it was a duplicate complaint and rejected it. I came to Trustpilot to let others know of my experience and hopefully hear from someone higher up in the business. Because of Trustpilot, I received a call directly from the company and a full refund. Thank you, Trustpilot! #### Cons One downside of Trustpilot is that sometimes it can be hard to tell which reviews are real and which might be fake or biased. While the company tries to manage this, some businesses might still get unfair ratings based on a few bad experiences. Also, businesses can sometimes pressure customers to leave positive reviews, which can skew the overall ratings. The volume of reviews can also be overwhelming, making it tough to find the feedback that is most pertinent to your situation. Lastly, there is a delay between the submission of feedback and it being posted to the website. We had tried two other review management software along with Trustpilot before implementing it. After testing it appeared to have the right cost to experience balance. Within a few weeks we were getting our reviews, finding out issues that customers were telling us about that they probably were not going to mention without prompting. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 4/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros We used Trustpilot to monitor our customers after they received their orders. We set up an email to be sent a day after the expected delivery date to confirm the order was proper (printed cards) and asked for a review. We received about a 25% response some months. I think our average was about 10% overall. We would also set to post all current reviews that were 5star on the home page of the website and all 3+ stars on the testimonials page of the site. We could match the look and colors to match the site and even used custom stars to match. The online software was easy to use and integration was essentially copy and paste. #### Cons It wasn't easy to remove 1 star reviews. LOL. Actually there were not many things that I would say were issues with the software other than a non-tech person may get confused on how to set it up. We have been able to collect customer reviews for our services and are working on implementing product reviews which will also we very helpful to our business. I would definitely recommend others to use this platform as it is helpful and easy to use. My only reason for 9/10 would be the feedback I have regarding customers being able to leave reviews without a verified name and/or email address. It makes it really difficult for us to check customer accounts without their name and email address. We try to respond to the review for customers to contact us but they never respond back with more info so we can help. We have also been able to help many customers but there is no option to request an updated star review and customers have mentioned how difficult or unclear it is for them to update the star rating and can only add text to their negative review, yet we still have the negative star rating. It is fairly easy to navigate as we work to collect reviews. It is easy to filter through reviews and the widget on our website looks great. I haven't taken full advantage of Customer Support but the few times I have, it's always been easy and my questions get answered. #### Cons I do not like that customers can leave a review with an unverified name/account such as "Customer" or a nick name which makes it difficult for us to look into their account and further assist them. SOMETIMES we can click their nickname and their email address will show, but this is not the case for all. Furthermore, we cannot send a private message which makes it difficult to discuss personal account info or if we don't have their real name, we can't reach out publicly AND privately to ask for their account name/info/etc. Lastly, customers we have resolved issues for try to login and update their review but have a difficult time doing so. At most, they just add to the text and say we helped them but can't update the star rating or review entirely. With that, there is no place for us to notify Trustpilot that the review has been resolved. I am using trust pilot sinse 2010.i feel their 75% of views express here are true and organic. Now a days everyday new frauds are coming in news, so people 's dont trust easily. Every review on Trustpilot is screened by our bespoke automated fraud detection software that identifies and removes fakes. It looks at multiple data points, such as IP addresses, user identifiers, device characteristics, location data and timestamps, to determine if it exhibits patterns of suspicious behavior. Whenever our software detects clearly fraudulent reviews, the review is moved offline and we send an email to notify the reviewer.
