Overall the experience was good and I have found great use with some of the free tools that are also available.

During our cooperation time i haven't noticed any negative. The only thing i think is unpleasant it that the software isn't quite easy to use.

The functionality of the software is impressive for tracking active directory changes and modifications.

I love that I can get insight into AD, SQL, and VMware all on the same dashboard. This allows us to see what's going on both from an operational standpoint, but also from a security standpoint.

It would have been great if training from splunk were cheaper.

Mainly checking code for Fatal errors and application error which does not break in development environment.

Splunk is a great solution for SIEM and also for monitoring your infrastructure.

Splunk has very strong query language event complex commands like Join, subquery or aggregate which much the same with SQL query with good report UI to display result.

Integrates with almost all the software seamlessly. Where there is a software application that produces log, splunk can be easily integrated.

Overall, it is a very good monitoring tool for an support team and developers for doing root cause analysis.

Setting up plugins and integrating with any tool that needs monitoring is pretty easy. Technical support for the Splunk is very quick as they have a dedicated staff for that.

Excellent and reliable albeit slow place to turn when investigating an incident, logs are easily available and sortable leading to quick and accurate determinations.

The best part about Splunk is that it is incredibly flexible.

Overall experience is good. As per our usage this should be used as a mother ship for all the monitoring tool to gump the records to ensure those can be correlated to identify the root cause.

Integration with other systems is great. The system can analyze a lot of information from many systems at the same time.

For people that are not used to use command lines, it might be a liitle bit difficult on the beggining.
