All in one
All Big data environments (Hadoop, HBase, Mahout, PIG) are pre installed here
CONSThe options it provides, it makes sense that the software is heavy weighted.

Prime Big Data Platform
1. Our bank is using Cloudera as the big data platform; 2. The overal experience is positive; 3. while due to the concern in point 3 of Cons, I don't think it is quite healthy; 4. platform is the biggest foundation of the system, the person design, configure and manage the platform is very important, i don't think the number of mature consultants is enough in the market. which make the foundation not very robust although maybe not that expensive initially.
PROS1. A complete package for the big data platform; 2. Combining the features of hortonworks after the two company merging; 3. A reasonable price; 4. The big community who are making enhancement frequently;
CONS1. The Open source nature makes it happen that some low-quality or non-consistent development result; 2. Some inconsistency between the HIVEQL, Spark and impala; 3. quick changes means not very stable; 4. Cloudera expects the clients to be able to setup , implement the big data platform themselves, while not always feasible.
Reason for choosing Cloudera Enterprise
We didn't choose others due to the concern for security and price. But we are not quite sure if that is a good choice.

A stable cloud platform for your Big Data needs
Overall, it provides Big data analysis capabilities, Streaming services, BI services, ML services, Data Warehousing services for all kinds of business requirements to meet and solutions to build.
PROSPerforms really well and maintains the whole Hadoop ecosystem being stable most of the times. Data Engineers, ML engineers, Data Scientists can use this platform to meet their business needs It can process large amount of data within a short span of time easily. Have used Cloudera VM Virtual box too to setup the Hadoop ecosystem and also the real-time file processing with good integration and AI capabilities within.
CONSIt takes a lot of time when launching the Virtual Machine even after allocating ample resources to it, that makes it launch again and again causing delay and waste of time. Documentation understanding is on the higher side as it cannot be understood for newbies in the first go. Lastly, very limited customization options provided.

A good big data platform for big enterprises
Overall I think cloudera is a big player in this area and can extend its footprint if it provides more SaaS offering (especially in AWS and Azure)
PROSCloudera is a very good system for big data and Hadoop projects on large scale projects. The support team is also very helpful and very interested to see your success
CONSPortability is still a big issue. When you start with one Big Data platform it is not easy to switch to other platform.
Reason for choosing Cloudera Enterprise
It was prior to their merge and cloudera provided more evidence they could support the project and operation teams.
